"Don't let the hotel's unassuming exterior fool you. While the rooms aren't huge, they're incredibly well-equipped, proving that 'good things come in small packages.' The breakfast spread is extensive, with delicious and fresh food. There's a decent-sized hot spring that I visited daily – it was so relaxing and great for my health. Nights were wonderfully quiet, ensuring fantastic sleep. This hotel offers amazing value for money, and the staff are all incredibly friendly. Highly recommended!"

"Dormy Inn is the best hotel for delicious food and great hot springs. They offer Aomori's signature apple juice, and for breakfast, you can enjoy scallop sashimi. Plus, there's complimentary late-night ramen, ice cream bars at the hot spring, and morning Yakult – all fantastic perks! My only minor complaint is that it's a bit far from Aomori Station, but it's very close to Hirota Shrine."

"The hotel's location is super convenient! I booked on the same day and it was excellent value for money. It's about a 3-5 minute walk from Aomori Station, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The Fish and Vegetable Market, Ichiba Sushi, and Jiraigen are all within walking distance. Plus, there's a Lawson convenience store right downstairs. The room size isn't small for Japan, and all the amenities are easily accessible."

"The location is very convenient as the hotel is just accross Aomori Station. The room was more spacious than the standard Toyoko Inns in other locations I've stayed at (Tokyo, Fuji). Breakfast was good. Overall, Toyoko Inn Hotels are always a great value for money."

"Even though the hotel is always from Aomori Station, bit it is easy to get any places in the city as the bus stops are a few walk from the hotel. The free breakfast was good. A special treatment from this hotel was the free alcohol drinks provided in the evening. It was a great chance to taste various of drinks :)"

"Probably our best stay during the entire trip. Amazing staff. Excellent food. Top class onsen. Just a bit sad that we couldn’t use the outdoor onsen because of bear warning but that’s fine. The relaxing areas with massage chairs were great too. Highly recommended for family trips."

"The room was spacious enough. It's a bit far from the JR station, about 150 by taxi. There are also buses, so if it's not snowing, taking the bus is an option. There are plenty of local eateries within a 10-minute walk. I recommend Tengu Yakiniku; their food is excellent."

"Location: located about a 13min walk from the nearest train station (Asamushi Onsen Station), so not very close. But beautiful location, right by the waterside with completely unobstructed views of the lake. Cleanliness/amenities: very clean room, and also nice natural outdoor onsen with same view of the lake. Water could be hotter, but those in the tubs are hotter."

"We stayed at Asamushi Onsen (about 20mins drive from Aomori downtown) as part of our 2025 Spring trip to Aomori area, and booked Tstsumikan Onsen hotel to stay for the night. The hotel location is great. I think all guest rooms come with open ocean view. No private hot spring tub in the guest room but the large gender-specific hot spring pools are open privately to the overnight stay guests from 8PM to the next morning. The stay comes with 2 meals. The food is good and the dinner was served directly in the guest room. The next morning Japanese breakfast was served in the great tatami dinning room, and the breakfast package even comes with free coffee in the gift shop café after the meal. The staff are warm, and the service is good. My recommendation to this hotel come with no hesitation."

"Breakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside."

"There's a dedicated parking lot. It's not far from the station for those without cars. The service is friendly, and cat lovers are welcome. The package includes two meals a day. Dinner was so filling I could barely finish it all! Most importantly, the seafood was fresh and delicious. I'll definitely come again."

"The location is not far from Aomori Station, about ten minutes' walk. When leaving the hotel, you can ask the hotel to arrange a hotel car to leave the station. The facilities are relatively old, but the service is in place. Dinner and breakfast are traditional Japanese. Whether they are delicious or not depends on personal preference. The hot springs are divided into Men and women, I went there at night. The spring water was okay. There were only two indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor spring water was not hot enough. The bedroom was a Japanese-style tatami. I couldn't sleep on it. My waist was red the next day. Overall it was okay. I might come again next time."

"I couldn't find any rooms in Aomori during the Aomori Festival. I could only book the Asamushi Onsen Hotel. This place is 20 minutes away from Aomori Station by train. The facilities are very old and have not been renovated for a long time. The service staff is very good, but the food in the hot spring hotel is very ordinary. It is not a one-night stay with two meals. The festival premium is too much."
