The Hotel Grand United - Chinatown is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Kyauktada will find that the Hotel Grand United - Chinatown is a fantastic accommodation choice. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Phaya Lan Train Station located approximately 1km away and Yangon International Airport roughly 19km away. Famous local attractions Alibaba Amusement (Theingyizay), Sari Sulamani Hindu tenple and Guanyin Gumiao Temple, can all be reached with a short walk. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Kyauktada hotel features parking on site.

"The Hotel location is very convenient. Easy to go from one place to another. The cleanliness, service and price are fair. But the hotel location is wrong at Google maps and it's so troublesome to take grab when we choose pick up point or destination."

The Hotel Bond is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Kyauktada will find that the Hotel Bond is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is only 1km from Lanmadaw Railway Station and 17km from Yangon International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. With Wa Dan Mosque, Guanyin Gumiao Temple and Junction Mawtin Swimming Club all within a short distance, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Kyauktada hotel provides parking on site.

"I spent 7 days at this hotel. Here are the main pros and cons: Pros: — Breakfast included (buffet style). — Two bottles of water were provided daily. — A quiet and peaceful hotel. — Friendly and polite staff. Cons: — Shared shower (but this was stated upfront). — The breakfast was almost the same every day and not always replenished. It's best to go around 7:30–8:00 AM, otherwise, the food might run out. — The shared bathroom and toilet didn't look very clean. — The shower water was salty for some reason. Overall, it's a ”no-frills, get-the-job-done” type of place. For Myanmar, this is a perfectly decent budget option. You can comfortably stay for a few days."

The Chan Myae Guest House provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. Visitors to Kyauktada will find that the Chan Myae Guest House is a fantastic accommodation choice. With Yangon Central Railway Station just 900m away and Yangon International Airport only 19km away, transportation is very convenient. With Waziya Cinema, High Court Building and Sule Pagoda view point all within a short distance, there is no shortage of things to do in the area. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards.

"I stayed at the hotel for four days. Pros: Each room has a private bathroom, convenient location, and friendly staff. The price is around 900 rubles per night with breakfast, which is a great deal. Breakfast is served (no choice): usually rice with peas and an egg, but there are also bananas, juice, and you can ask for tea or coffee. Cons: There was no hot water—only cool water. The room is very small, more suitable for just an overnight stay. Air conditioning can be uncomfortable in such a small space. Bottom line: A good budget option for 1-2 days, but may be uncomfortable for a longer stay."

Awei Metta (Yangon)

This hotel is a golf resort with a garden-style design, situated in a high-end community area that feels very safe. The indoor and outdoor executive lounge is open and inviting, and the restaurant is quite thoughtful. Overall, it's a well-maintained hotel. The rooms are spacious with private balconies overlooking the golf course, which is a much better view than what you'd typically get from a luxury hotel in the city center. The staff are all friendly and professional. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to Yangon.

Governor's Residence

Review: The Governor’s Residence, Yangon The Governor’s Residence remains one of Yangon’s most atmospheric and elegant hotels, combining colonial charm with modern comfort. Nestled in a quiet embassy district, the restored teak mansion, once the home of a British colonial governor, immediately impresses with its graceful architecture and tranquil gardens. Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements. Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. Afternoon cocktails by the pool or an evening meal by candlelight evoke the romantic grandeur of a bygone era. What sets the Governor’s Residence apart is its atmosphere: it is not simply a hotel but a living reminder of Yangon’s colonial past, reimagined with comfort and grace. Whether visiting on business or leisure, guests leave with a sense of serenity and timeless elegance. For those seeking a blend of history, luxury, and authentic Burmese hospitality, this residence is an exceptional choice.

Location is basically good but not easy to find shops nearby, Inya lake is just on the opposite side of the road but have to walk long way from the hotel room because the hotel is situated in the inward inlet. There's no water bottle in the room but instead guests have to go to the hallway to use the water server machine, which never gave cold enough water. This is an European hotel and says a lot about eco-friendly or sustainable stuff, but it means downgraded service compared to other hotels run by Korea or Singapore. Breakfast is simply superb and I liked very much.  Overall good hotel but it is recommended those who can sacrifice comfort for the sake of some peculiar things like sustainability.

We booked this hotel for early departure to the airport. There were less than a day, but the impression remained the best. We are very grateful that we were moved with breakfast we could not use on the day of departure, in the morning of our universe to the hotel. The breakfast was very delicious and very tired after the night shift and did not want to go looking for another cafe at all. The staff was very kind and helpful in everything. Way-fai is weak in the hotel as is the case throughout Myanmar. The tea in the room is not available, on first request was given thermos with hot water. Shower is normal, room is spacious. There is a cafe at the hotel where you can have lunch or dinner. Prices are moderate. We are satisfied with the price and quality ratio. Good three-star hotel. Recommend.

Holly hotel is very convenient if you have to stay overnight between the Mingalar highway busstation and airport in Yangon. Hotel can arrange taxi but getting your own with Grab is cheaper. Also the restaurant on site is good for a meal but environment is not very inviting. The beds are comfortable and hot water is available 24/7. Nearby is Terminal shopping mall with Ocean supermarket . If you want to go to the city centre it will take you 45min. to an hour!

It's a true journey through time, an enchan**ent that takes you to a ship from the year 1920. Several original details, such as a clock, the minibar inside a barrel, the bluetooth speaker that imitates a record player, all the leather furniture. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it, without a doubt, it was a beautiful experience. The only point of the location is at night, as there is a night market that doesn't seem so safe and, despite being vintage, some small details lack maintenance such as the carpet in the room, for example

HOOD HOSTEL

The hostel is located in the old town, not far from the central train station. The lobby is on the first floor, and the rooms are on the second and third floors. Bed linens are changed after each guest. There's a table in the room, but the window is poorly maintained and can't be closed. A helpful young man at the front desk speaks some Chinese. The other staff only speak the local language, so communication was difficult. When I checked out, the front desk asked me to pay for the last night's stay, even though I had already paid. They said they hadn't received it, but thankfully the young man who speaks some Chinese came out and confirmed that I had paid in full.

This was another stay for me. The cheapest rooms are so dark, day and night, that it hinders work, so this time I booked the next room category up, which was about 1000 yen more expensive. The room was spacious and bright, though still a little dim at night. It might be a structural issue, simply not enough lights. But upgrading was definitely the right choice. The soundproofing in the room is a bit weak; I could hear sounds from the next room, but since the room was large, it didn't bother me too much. The nearby supermarket was also convenient. The breakfast, while limited in variety, was decent. The staff are great too. Room cleaning is thorough and not skimped on. However, the room being dark and the carpet being worn out and dirty (frayed) even though it's cleaned might be a concern for some.
