"Great location when arriving by train, close to both station and the city walls. 10mins walk to the parkrun start if attending. Room had everything needed. Plenty of hot water, mini fridge and tea and coffee plus biscuits. Continental breakfast was included but only served until 10am. Perfect for me as a solo traveller and I would stay again if in the area."

Our stay at La Chiusa Delle Monache was truly special. The property feels like a beautiful home, full of charm and character. We stayed in the former horse’s house, thoughtfully transformed into a cozy and unique B&B—it was both comfortable and full of personality.
This is a genuine family-run place, and you can feel it in every detail. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, offering insightful tips about the area that made our visit even better. The whole family—mom, dad, and everyone—helps run the place, creating a warm, homey atmosphere.
Breakfast was a highlight, especially the homemade pastries from the mother’s recipe—absolutely delicious and easily my favorite part of the stay. As a thoughtful touch, she even gave us leftover pastries to take on the road, which we truly appreciated.
A heartfelt experience from start to finish—very impressive and highly recommended.

The hotel is located in the old town. If you are driving to get ready, the road is very narrow and it feels like you are going to meet people. In addition, it is not recommended to book 2 beds, because it is a very narrow single bed! Breakfast is quite rich, the old town is not big to walk anywhere.

The hotel recommended by a friend is small but warm. Next to the Luka City Wall, travel is also convenient. The people in the hotel are very nice and the overall feeling is very good!

Отличный отель в прекрасном городе Лукка! Всё близко ; и кафе, и магазины, и вме достопримечательности города. Очень понравилось отношение персонала и особенно Стефании. Она говорит достаточно хорошо по- русски . Было приятно получить от неё ценные советы по изучению города

Guest UserHad a great 3-night stay here in September 2026! The hotel is lots of rustic charm and character. Our room has spacious, good AC and modern bathroom. The swimming pool was big and lots of available sun loungers as the hotel was not too busy. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did not have a car, but the hotel is a about a 10 minute walk to the nearby village where you can catch a bus to Lucca and Florence (these come about 1-2 times an hour). Breakfast was okay, but our highlight was the hotel dinner service! The food was amazing, great wine and lovely vibe sitting outdoors. If you stay here, definitely have dinner at the hotel!

Excellent small hotel with full charm and art works everywhere in the corridors. All very well of the basilic. Hanf is a little small but it's a good compromise given the location and price.
