"Nice small B&B with a small pool. We went in august and it was very hot.. so when we went to bed the room was to hot for sleeping. We made a complaint and someone took a look at the aircondition. It was aperantly ok but still room temperatur in room was 28 degree even with AC on low and full fan. So a very bad experience that impacted sleep Quality and overall impression.Can not recommed this accomodation for this very reason."

"Been here several times in the last 10 years, mostly with my wife and family, this time with my bestie. Daniela and Giovanni are top notch, really friendly, and hard working, always grafting away to keep the place in pristine condition, fabulous accommodation, gardens and pool, a little slice of heaven! The village is so lovely too, very traditional Tuscan experience of the type you’d usually have to go way up into the hills for but they’re only a few hundred yards from the road to Lucca, our favourite Italian town, your there in 10 minutes. If you’re the wandering type like me there’s a network of terrific walks on your doorstep, ranging from light 20 minute strolls on the level to challenging 2-3 hour hikes, all from your front door. Great cafe, bar, pizzeria greengrocers and butchers all on your doorstep. What’s not to love, a little know gem! Xx"

"from the moment we arrived we found a beautiful garden and we were welcomed with a good Rosè Wine as though we were family. the owners and their hospitality were wonderful and very accommodating, also helpful with good reccomandations where to eat and what to do… We used this hotel as ideal location for day trips to Florence, Siena, Pisa and Cinque Terre. Lucca is closed only 5 minuts by car or 10 minuts by bike. Thanks again to the owners and we will definitely come back!"

Villa Pedone

"To stay at Villa Pedone is to a have a glimpse of how nobility lived in Italy. The house is covered in art, the furniture is awesome and often pieces of art in itself, the garden, the surrounding neighborhood. Of corse the comfort is top quality, as it is the sleep, the shower, the amenities, the breakfast. As it is located 6km from Lucca, in a rural area where services are not available, Duccio makes clear to customers that the food and drinks (coffee, tea, fruits, cheese, etc) conveniently left by the dinning table are to be used as self service with no extra cost. Though perhaps a necessity given the location, one can not fail to notice how generous he is by offering quality snacks that can substitute a night meal. Duccio, by the way is a treat in itself. A gentleman, and kind soul, lovenly caring for the family property transformed in this B&B, helped us with cancelling the reservation for one night, as well finding us an alternative place to stay by Lucca's train station, a necessity due to our ill planned logistics to return the car at Pisa and spend another night at Pedone. He spent his time helping us out against his own business and gain. This is rare. As Villa Pedone is a rare experience in anyone's Tuscany experience."

"This place was surprisingly nice in a really cool town that wasn't really on my radar. It's a short distance to the sights and some really good restaurants. It was a little challenging to check-in since the street doesn't have parking and it's hard to find, but ring the bell or connect earlier with the owner and it'll be smooth I'm sure. The parking on site was nice because it's protected from the street, but like all of Europe, pricey. There is also a breakfast option, but didn't spend the money to find out the quality. Rooms are of a really good size, great air conditioner, and bed is comfortable."
