"Our stay here was perfect. Kind and welcoming staff, excellent food and service and a beautiful, spacious room. We stayed here for Christmas with our two young children, who were made to feel very welcome and they enjoyed the garden and space around the villa to play in. We will certainly be back in the summer months to enjoy the swimming pool and eat outside on the terraces. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you. "

"Tenuta di Tramonte was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in Italy in years. It was a last minute booking when we decided to go a day early before heading to a villa of our friend’s son for a week . It was the best decision . Arriving from London we spent the early afternoon in Lucca which we love and then headed to the hotel. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted as if we were friends. The hotel has an amazing setting. We were given a tour of the grounds including the natural pool and were told about the history and the seven year conversion of the convent into a hotel with only seven beautiful rooms each with gorgeous views and huge bathrooms with every little luxury. We ate dinner at the hotel - elegant and each dish was a work of art . Beautifully presented.bread is made at the villa and has to be the best bread in Tuscany. Breakfast was an Italian array with so many handmade pastries and cakes and we ate it looking at the hillside and dreaming about coming back which we will certainly do ."

"We have just got back from 8 days at Villa Marta and cannot recommend highly enough for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The location is perfect - a quiet and secluded rural setting but only ten minutes drive into wonderful Lucca. Our room was very spacious, with oak beams, tiled floors a very comfy bed! We were on the second floor with a perfect view of the hills and gorgeous olive groves which was a bonus. The staff were all excellent - friendly and relaxed and always happy to help. We ate in the restaurant several times and thought the food was excellent - Tuscan classics served with finesse. Great local wine selection too! The pool was amazing and we spent many afternoons sitting in the gazebo just enjoying the peace. 10/10 stay :)"

"Davide helped coordinate a van from Lucca to Monterosso Al Mare for the next morning during a Trenitalia rail strike. We were supposed to travel by train, so this was a great alternative with very short notice. Azura who works the rooftop bar was very hospitable and friendly. We enjoyed her service both nights."

"Great place to stay to explore Lucca. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby and a lively atmosphere. Rooms very comfortable and functional with plenty of character. The owner was friendly and helpful and produced a fantastic breakfast every morning. Probably unsuitable to anybody with mobility problems as the entrance is upstairs."
