"It is more like a smart hostel so not there were not many people helping, but our CityHost Jed was very helpful and helped us with our check-in. The facilities were very clean and complete with everything one would need for a stay, including towels, shampoo and even a bath robe was provided. It was worth the money and would definitely stay there again!"

GGuest UserWe are very enjoy stay your hotel, staff is so kind & helpful. Room is excellent & comfortable. Everything is prefect. We will highly recommend my friend to stay here. Hope will be back soon.
GGuest UserWe stayed 2 nights in Hotel van Walsum.
A beautiful historical property, well maintained and a nice staff! Very affordable too.
What a nice hotel: fantastic service, beautiful rooms with everything you need, good facilities (all works and is clean), tastyly furnished and a nice breakfast buffet with views of the garden. And all in the heart of Rotterdam, walking away from the centre.
It has officially 3 * but for us it has more!
GGuest UserThe location is good, close to the center. The reception staff was friendly.
The restaurant was poorly clean. Cables and other items were scattered around the buffet. The breakfast area was unappealing. The waiters only superficially wiped the tables. The buffet looked uninviting.
Overall, it's okay for an overnight stay, but unsuitable for a clean and pleasant breakfast.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is in a very convenient location if you need to be at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Staff at reception was very friendly and welcoming and the room is spacious and at first sight looks comfortable (it looks better in reality than on the photos I took). Unfortunately, the beds are extremely soft though. That is of course a matter of personal preference and some guests may like the soft mattresses, but I couldn't sleep on them. Fortunately, there was a sofa in the room that was large enough to sleep on and much more comfortable than the beds;-) I might stay here again because of the location, but in terms of beds this would probably not be my first choice.
GGuest UserThe check-in queue was over an hour long. The staff tried their best, but it was far too much for one person to handle.
At breakfast, there was another long queue for coffee/tea. We also had to wait for a plate and a knife. The food wasn't replenished in a timely manner either. Furthermore, there wasn't enough seating available.
The room was tidy. However, I missed the slippers (it stated during booking that they would be provided). I don't like walking barefoot on carpeted floors in a hotel.
GGuest UserWe stayed at Ibis Rotterdam City Centre for three nights. The location is great and the staff were generally friendly, but unfortunately we had repeated issues with the room heating. On the first night, the heating in our room (112) was not working and we were very cold. Since no technicians were available at night, the reception could not offer a solution, and the problem was fixed the next morning.
However, on the third night the heating broke down again and started blowing cold air, this time only in our room. The staff were unable to fix it, so we had to change rooms late at night and move all our belongings to a new room. The new room worked fine, but the experience was quite inconvenient.
Having the same issue twice and needing to move rooms made our stay less comfortable than expected.
GGuest UserConveniently located near Blaak train and MRT stations, just a 5-6 minute walk away. The Blaak tram stop (Line 1) and another stop are also within a 5-6 minute walk.
The surrounding area feels quiet and safe. The room is spacious and includes a kettle and a small refrigerator.
The double bed is actually two single beds pushed together; the middle one is recessed.
Self-service check-in and check-out is available, with friendly staff providing assistance.
DDua @ LuaWe stayed at Le Marin Boutique Hotel during our trip to Rotterdam. While the hotel is not far from Rotterdam Centraal, first-time visitors should plan their route in advance. We initially followed Apple Maps, which led us on a longer path, but there's actually a more direct route.
The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful environment. It's within walking distance to Chinatown, where you can find various dining and shopping options.
We appreciated the spaciousness of our room, which provided a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. The decor is stylish, with a marine theme and dark tones that add a cozy ambiance.
However, some guests have noted that rooms can feel smaller than expected, and the dark interior may not appeal to everyone. Additionally, sound insulation between rooms could be improved, as footsteps from upstairs can be heard.
The hotel offers a breakfast buffet with a variety of options, though some guests felt it lacked certain basics. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location makes it convenient to explore the city.
Overall, Le Marin Boutique Hotel provides a comfortable stay with a unique atmosphere, suitable for travelers seeking a tranquil environment close to the city's attractions.
GGuest UserRoom (twin room) was clean, room was ready very early and we even received bananas and water for the marathon which was really nice + the bed was comfortable. Location is also good, near the central station and city centre. We sadly had a really bad sleep here because people (not sure if they were guests or staff) kept slamming doors very loudly on our floor through the night, as late as 4 pm. It kept waking us up, even while wearing earplugs. The hallway isn’t soundproof enough.
