Great
HHW2002Hotel’s location is superb, within walking distance of the river bank and popular shopping avenues. The room is small because it is Europe, but designed in the way that everything fits well and you don’t feel crowded or inconvenient. Smart technology allows you to control everything from an iPad. So it is compact but efficient for solo travelers in particular. BT the way, nice staff and good/clean reception area dubbed as a living room for socializing.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel just near a tram and metro access have a nice view and spa and a awesome gym !!
However be careful the road is quite noisy so prefer a room with ocean view. And it was quite cold during our stay the night and there was no option to turn on the heat.
Those two points were a bit disappointing due to the price of the hotel but else it was good
AAnonymous UserThis hotel is in a very convenient location if you need to be at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Staff at reception was very friendly and welcoming and the room is spacious and at first sight looks comfortable (it looks better in reality than on the photos I took). Unfortunately, the beds are extremely soft though. That is of course a matter of personal preference and some guests may like the soft mattresses, but I couldn't sleep on them. Fortunately, there was a sofa in the room that was large enough to sleep on and much more comfortable than the beds;-) I might stay here again because of the location, but in terms of beds this would probably not be my first choice.
GGuest UserThe location is good, close to the center. The reception staff was friendly.
The restaurant was poorly clean. Cables and other items were scattered around the buffet. The breakfast area was unappealing. The waiters only superficially wiped the tables. The buffet looked uninviting.
Overall, it's okay for an overnight stay, but unsuitable for a clean and pleasant breakfast.
GGuest UserThe room was spotless clean, the staff were also friendly, check out was easy. I was missing bath robes and slippers, the shower was a little inconvenient. Also missing coffee machine which is kind of a standard nowadays, let alone for a 5 star hotel, instead it was instant coffee sachets
GGuest UserConveniently located near Blaak train and MRT stations, just a 5-6 minute walk away. The Blaak tram stop (Line 1) and another stop are also within a 5-6 minute walk.
The surrounding area feels quiet and safe. The room is spacious and includes a kettle and a small refrigerator.
The double bed is actually two single beds pushed together; the middle one is recessed.
Self-service check-in and check-out is available, with friendly staff providing assistance.
GGuest UserService was excellent. Reception staff especially Weam were extremely helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was ok. Croissants excellent, scrambled eggs dry and tasteless. Location was fab, tram station outside hotel and Rotterdam Centraal 5-10 mins walk. Really wide selection of cafes and restaurants nearby. Good value hotel.
GGuest UserWe stayed at Ibis Rotterdam City Centre for three nights. The location is great and the staff were generally friendly, but unfortunately we had repeated issues with the room heating. On the first night, the heating in our room (112) was not working and we were very cold. Since no technicians were available at night, the reception could not offer a solution, and the problem was fixed the next morning.
However, on the third night the heating broke down again and started blowing cold air, this time only in our room. The staff were unable to fix it, so we had to change rooms late at night and move all our belongings to a new room. The new room worked fine, but the experience was quite inconvenient.
Having the same issue twice and needing to move rooms made our stay less comfortable than expected.
TthreerocksThe room was clean, with a window facing the main street. Although the room wasn't huge, it was perfectly adequate, and the bathroom was spacious. I particularly loved the open-concept integrated clothes rack in the room – it was super functional and much more convenient than traditional wardrobes, plus it held a lot. The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the Queen's department store. It's excellent value for money, and I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Rotterdam!
AAnonymous UserOverall, the environment was okay, and the space was decent. However, the cleanliness and tidiness of the room weren't particularly good. There were no lockers or storage cabinets to put things, and no space for luggage. The safe was also very, very small, couldn't hold anything, and offered no way to store luggage. All in all, it was still okay, and the value for money was quite good, suitable for one person.
For hotels with Parking in Rotterdam, the average price on weekdays is €185, and on weekends (Friday–Saturday) is €220.
