"Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we liked its location - close to Bang Bao Beach, but at an affordable price. For ease of movement around the island, the hotel staff offered us a good motorbike without any deposit. The owner of the hotel, Jay, is generally a very attentive and welcoming host, ready to help with any issue. He told us about interesting places on the island that are worth visiting, where to eat, and even where is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. At our request, Jay arranged our return transfer to Bangkok via speedboat and private comfortable car. The room we lived in was large, very bright and stylishly decorated. The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and snow-white bed linen. The air conditioner is modern, not noisy, and quickly cooled a fairly large room. From the room there is access to a small terrace with a tea table and a view of the garden, there is a clothes dryer. The room has a modern TV with smart TV function and Internet access. The bathroom is spacious, the instantaneous water heater worked well, and there are personal hygiene items. Beach towels and a mat are provided for guests to relax on the beach. Upon check-in, guests will receive a compliment from the hotel. We had a great time at the hotel and would love to come back again, Thanks Jay 🙏"

"The service you get at Far East is great. Ask for something and it happens straight away. We asked reception for bins to be changed and it happened straight away. I then asked cleaners to do it all days we were there and they did plus new towels and waters.
The breakfast has a good variety. There is a guy who makes coffees for you and you can see he takes pride in the craft. On our third day he saw us walk in and made it without asking- lovely.
The grounds are well looked after. It seems to be raked every day. There was a cat poo near our room one morning. When we came home from exploring, it was gone.
It is walking distance to resteraunts.
We'd stay again."

CCunA very perfect resort, the hotel is in an excellent location, I like the villa design and decoration style, the important thing is to pay attention to details and quality, of course, environmental protection considerations; the staff is very friendly, and introduces the hotel facilities to guests when checking in. The beach is also perfect, and I want to rest and enjoy the beach and sunshine every day; the holiday home has its own dedicated swimming pool, and the bedroom and bathroom are designed and decorated to make the guests comfortable; the SPA service provided by the hotel is more expensive, but it is also enjoyable. There is a desire to sleep in the soothing music, and the technicians have high professional skills; the breakfast is very good. It happened to encounter a free kayaking activity. Since it was the first time to experience this sport, I started to adapt a little, but I soon became proficient. The staff led in front and was very responsible. The experience of this process was very good; the breakfast dining environment was comfortable, and you could also enjoy the beach view while eating breakfast; after checking out, the hotel car and service staff sent you to the pier of the island. The food was great. Plus, there is a kayak free for in-house guests. The guard will take care of you if you want to go kayaking.

The villa accommodated our entire large family, and although the bungalows are quite simply equipped, the area around is simply stunning - green, well-kept and cozy. The hotel is located on one of the best beaches on the island, next to which there is all the necessary infrastructure. A great place for those who are looking for accommodation for a large group and do not require too many sophisticated amenities, but appreciate nature and location!

PPockatmzEvery time I come to Koh Kood, I stay at only the Captain Hook resorts. This time I brought my elders with me. I couldn't book in time, so there was only Captain Hook, a pool suit room left. I usually come on weekdays, but this time I came during the New Year period. The weather was great, the sea was clear, and diving around the resort was the end. There were a lot of fish, medium, and large. The accommodation is suitable for those who like peace and quiet. There is no beach in front of the resort, but you have to kayak across, less than 50 meters.

GGuest UserThe hotel owns the Ao Ta Pao beach / The beach is considered one of the best on the island, second only to the Secret Beach AWD. However, we were disappointed with the beach. The entrance to the sea is deep, the waves are quite strong. The sand is bad - rocky, it is unpleasant to walk on it. On the first day, the water was muddy, there was a lot of different garbage floating - leaves, wood, even plastic in places. On the second day, the sea cleared up, but, for example, on the southern beach of Ao Prao, we did not see anything like this, the water there was crystal clear both days.
We had a bungalow on the third line. It was well furnished. A huge bed, a good mattress of medium hardness. The bathroom is also good, the plumbing is in good condition, the repair is good. In general, everything in the room is clean and there are no complaints.
By the way, when booking, breakfast was not indicated, but upon arrival it turned out that we were still entitled to it, and for free. Breakfast is a buffet, very tasty and varied, such a nice bonus.
The staff is pleasant, they try to help with everything. They helped us book a transfer to Bangkok, and for the same price as if we had booked it directly from the company.
However, there were some controversial points. Firstly, the food in the hotel restaurant is expensive, and the menu is rather meager. Seriously, they have such a varied breakfast, but so few dishes for dinner!
Also, when we checked into the hotel, they asked us for immigration cards (these are the papers that you fill out when crossing the border of Thailand - part of the card remains with the customs officer, and they tear off the stub for you). This is the stub they asked us for. The irony is that this was not our first hotel in Thailand, and in the previous hotel no one was interested in this card - moreover, even the customs officers themselves did not really look at it - they put a stamp, tore off the stub and let us go in peace. But here they insistently demanded it. I don’t even know what would have happened if we had not kept these cards.
In general, the hotel staff is extremely careful. In addition to the story with the maps, they also didn't give us a motorbike - they said that I was somehow unsure of myself when sitting on it (although I was just careful the first time). Our friend at another hotel was given a bike without any problems, and for a smaller amount, although he had never driven any transport before and does not have a license.
In general, I can recommend the hotel for a vacation. The price is normal compared to other hotels in Koh Kuda, it corresponds to the quality of service and the hotel as a whole. But the staff's caution is, of course, excessive.

HhutusugarOur family of three lived in this new year for three days, and there was still some reluctance to go. The advantages include:
1. Clean rooms and bed linen
2. No insects or other living creatures in the rooms.
3. A really good view - double bungalows are located in the first row right by the sea, the beauty is indescribable!
4. The beach. Yes, this is the southernmost beach and it is quite far from the main infrastructure of the island. But it is simply beautiful! Apart from the Secret AWD Beach, this is the best on the island. Shallow entrance to the sea, the cleanest, literally transparent water, soft sand without stones which is pleasant to walk on! On the pier you can take ”Instagram” photos and admire the fish that literally swim here in schools.
5. The breakfasts were good.
6. The family atmosphere of the hotel. Everything is very cozy here. The hostess cooks in the kitchen herself, she strives to help you. We came to the island directly from Cambodia, without having time to change money, the banks were closed that day, so the owner changed our money herself at a good rate. The other guests are also very nice people, and if you know English, you can make new acquaintances. For example, our neighbor in the bungalow, as it turned out, came to this hotel for the tenth time, and I understand why.
7. Well, in general, the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere. When you sit in the bar, you get the impression that you ended up in one of the films of the 80-90s about adventures in hot countries or in a video of the band La ketchup. Very atmospheric.
The disadvantages are minor, but they still need to be mentioned:
1. Upon check-in, we discovered that one towel, apparently, was forgotten to be washed. It is strange that no one noticed this, because it smelled strongly of sweat.
2. The price in the bar-restaurant is quite expensive. This is especially aggravated by the fact that the hotel is on the very edge of the island and the only alternative within walking distance is a restaurant 800 m from the hotel - but the food there, although cheaper, is spicy.
3. Still, you need to understand that the conditions in the bungalow are quite Spartan. Our bungalow did not have a refrigerator (there are in the rooms on the second line), nor a kettle (hot water was in the bar). The room is no frills. The shower is very simple next to the toilet and in general the bathroom already needs renovation. But the price of the hotel is the lowest of all the hotels on the island (those near the beach).
However, the atmosphere and the beach more than compensate for these shortcomings)
