I chose a hotel in Manukau, a suburb of Auckland, because it was close to the airport for car drop-off the next day. When I checked in, the woman at the front desk, who looked Asian, deliberately assigned me a ground floor room, which was very impolite, considering I had two large suitcases, a carry-on bag, and a jacket draped over my arm. There are seven steps from the ground floor (G) to the first floor, but there are elevators from the second floor all the way to the top. It was clearly discriminatory and extremely rude of her to assign me a ground floor room, especially seeing all my luggage and that I was Chinese. Inside the room, the fabric sofa had multiple stains, and the tissue box was empty and hadn't been refilled. The TV cable was faulty in the room, making it unusable throughout the entire hotel. Parking at the hotel costs 15 NZD per night. The location is decent; there are gas stations and supermarkets nearby, which is convenient for buying daily necessities. (Note: The bedding was clean and comfortable against the skin, and both soft and firm pillows were provided.)

The room layout is reasonable and the facilities are complete! Washing machine, dryer, kitchen, oven, coffee machine, pots and pans are all available. The service is also very good, the breakfast quality is guaranteed, and you can take it away if you don't have time to eat. CBD area, convenient transportation around, and there are many restaurant options downstairs. In addition, there is a swimming pool opposite the hotel, which can be used for free. Just don't stay on the port side, the scenery is really good, but the bar downstairs is really noisy on weekends, and the sound insulation effect is not very good. It will not be quiet until 1-2 o'clock in the middle of the night...

I loved everything about my stay! Stayed for one night before heading to the airport. Easy walk from the bus station and Britomart train station.
The facilities were great. Loved the 1 bedroom apartment. Kitchen has everything you need and supermarket is just around the corner. Pool and hot tub were very relaxing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Almost no view to speak of.
Location: Less than a 10-minute walk to Circular Quay.
Room Type: 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 1 bathroom. You can request two single beds by communicating with the hotel in advance. The washer and dryer are located near the room entrance, away from the bedroom, to minimize noise.
Dining: Breakfast is a small buffet, and each person can order one main dish. The restaurant offers à la carte dinner service; it's not busy, so no reservation is needed.
Cons: The overall service was quite cold; no one greeted us when we entered or left. Most of the restaurant staff looked Chinese but only spoke English.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Sebel overall. The location is unbeatable (5/5)—right in Martin Place, making it perfect for getting around Sydney. The service was also great, and the room amenities were very comfortable.

However, I have to give the cleanliness a 3/5. While the room was generally tidy, there were some disappointing oversights. I noticed some blood on the bedsheet and a towel that appeared to have stains, looking like it hadn't been changed. It’s a shame because everything else about the hotel is fantastic. If they paid a bit more attention to the housekeeping details, this would easily be a top-tier stay.

We booked the two room apartment for one night. Location is superb, it’s close to the train station and many malls. You can basically get everything you need within walking distance. The view was great as we were given a high floor level with unblocked views. It may be a little aged if it’s a concern for you, but overall it’s great for our stay.

It's a serviced apartment with basically no services. If you stay for a long time and prepare to cook your own food, you can. There are large supermarkets and Chinese supermarkets nearby. You can clean the bathroom yourself, wash the bath towels yourself, and there is a dishwasher and washing machine, which is also convenient.

Wasn’t happy with the smoke detectors opened and no battery,
The television had lines on
People.
