Cheap Hotels in Bern

"The hotel is located across the river from the Old Town, about a 20-minute walk away. Public transportation is very convenient, with a bus stop right outside. There's a large supermarket downstairs, which is super handy for groceries. The hotel rooms are very spacious and feel really comfortable, with a nice design. What I liked most was the 24-hour hot water and coffee, along with tea bags and lemonade. Guests also get a free city pass."

"Counter staffs are very helpful, helped us arranged a 3rd room on the same floor and gave us free upgrade for the 1st 2 rooms. Rooms are spacious on the 5th floor. Buffet breakfast acceptable, can see staffs topping up food regularly. Carpark is quite a distance away and costly, cost us almost 50 euros for 2 days but hotel allows car to be parked in front for loading/unloading up to 15mins and also 17% discount provided. Right next to supermarket 👍"

"The hotel itself is cozy and clean. The staff is on site is only limited time, however there is housekeeping service. The kitchen in the room is very convenient and fully equipped. My main problem was the location. I didn't expect it was in a quite isolated zone. However there is a supermarket just 100 meters from the hotel. Also there is a nice park nearby."

"The hotel is very beautiful. It is the most satisfactory hotel in this European trip. It should be an old hotel with a long history. The staff is warm and thoughtful. When we arrived at the hotel, we put our luggage at the front desk a little early. When we went back to check in, the luggage had been put in the room. It was very considerate. The room was very clean. The hotel business was very good and many people ate in the restaurant every day. The location of the hotel is quite good. Although it is a distance from the city center, it is not a problem because the hotel will provide free transportation cards according to the number of days of stay. There is a No. 6 bus at the door to the city center, which is very convenient. The only thing is that there is no air conditioning. It will be hot in summer. It is very cool to open the windows at night, but it is noisy. So if you close the windows to sleep in summer, it will be a bit stuffy. "The bedding was super comfortable! The sofa bed was great too, no backaches after sleeping on it. Kids under 11 stay for free, and there's a daily minibar! That's awesome! The location is really convenient, tram 9 takes you right to the hotel entrance. I think next time I visit Switzerland, I'll stay at this hotel for the whole trip – it's so easy to get everywhere, including a round trip to Jungfraujoch. And since I wake up early due to jet lag, it's nice to know their steak is delicious. Plus, it's right across from the train station."

"I stayed one night here on my way from Paris to Interlaken. I booked it at the last minute, so I didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be the best place to stay on my trip! First of all, everything was spotless, and there was nothing lacking. The room amenities were sufficient, and they even provided a water bottle, backpack, and umbrella for use during my stay. Breakfast was included free of charge, and there were about four kinds of cheese. It's close to Bern station, the area is safe, and all the reception staff were friendly and helpful, making for a very comfortable stay. If I ever come back to Bern, I will definitely choose this place again!"

"The hotel isn't particularly close to the train station; even walking briskly, it takes over 10 minutes. It offers self-check-in and self-service luggage storage, but the email with instructions for accessing the luggage storage wasn't sent until after 11 AM on the day of arrival. Since I arrived in Bern earlier, I had to pay to store my luggage at the train station, which was quite a hassle to find as it's located a bit further away from where you alight the train. The room itself is tiny and incredibly basic. There's no small table to put things on, no chair to sit on, and no nightstand. The sink is actually inside the room. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I stayed at during my trip to Switzerland, and one of the most uncomfortable hotels I've ever experienced while traveling abroad, despite the price not being low – two nights cost over 3400 RMB."

"The Hotel is very nice. The staff is great and cool. Modern decoration everywhere, also in the rooms. All is well equipped. The only thing we didn’t like is the food, very limited and not too tasty (all is defrosted in microwave). Also the parking, is public and 30chf per day. The overall experience is very positive. There is no doubt that we will repeat in another moxy as they are all over the globe."

"This hotel is within walking distance of the train station, and if you pick the right exit, you'll be there in no time. We stored our luggage for three days while we explored, which was really convenient. Great value for money!"
