"A perfect hotel!! The location is incredible, right inside the reserve with a beautiful mountain view. The hotel service is excellent — they know a little English and are very service-oriented. They upgraded us for free to a huge room. There’s bed heating, floor heating, and plenty of hot water. The room itself was huge and beautiful with everything you need. The hotel has a restaurant that’s really delicious, and there’s always tea and candy available to take. They helped us understand which trails to do and how to get everywhere in the reserve. One night, one of us felt altitude sickness, and they helped us a lot with an oxygen machine and excellent service with genuine care. Overall, a top-tier hotel."

"I was there twice, before and after visiting yading reserve. The first time was nice, the room and shower weren't the best but ok, and the lady at the reception was super helpful with all my questions. On the second time, there was a problem with the water which I only found out after I entered the shower. A small sign could have helped. Eventually I got the water for the shower but later I wanted to go for the toilet and couldn't flush since there were no water, and there was nobody at the reception to ask for help. They changed my bed and the wall near the new bed was filty, and somewhen after midnight they entered the room while I was asleep, turned the light on and started changing the covers for a new girl in the room. I'm sorry but that should have happened during daylight, not at this time, or they should have just given her one of the other vacant beds in the room."

"This time, we drove to Daocheng Yading, and this hotel stay was excellent in all aspects. The service was particularly warm and welcoming. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and offered great value for money. They also provide free shuttle service to the scenic spots, which was a huge plus. The only minor issue was that the Wi-Fi signal was a bit weak; if that were improved, it would be perfect."

"Value for money. Exceptional hospitality. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. This was my second stayed after moved out from Yading Village. They greeting me with big smile. The couples also very helpful in getting me the transportation into the national park as well as to the airport. I had a very pleasant stayed towards entire journey and this place is highly recommended. Sometimes is the people who makes you remember the most."

"From check-in to check-out, everything was thoughtful. The concierge and front desk staff were polite and enthusiastic, even thoughtfully preparing brown sugar ginger tea and welcome fruits. Facilities: The hotel has a 24-hour medical oxygen bar, and just 10 minutes there quickly relieves altitude sickness. The rooms have a diffuse medical oxygen supply, which lowers the perceived altitude to about 2700 meters, allowing for a good night's sleep. Service: As soon as we arrived at the hotel entrance, a butler helped with our luggage and escorted us to our room after check-in. The next morning, when we were checking out, the front desk proactively asked if we needed help with our luggage, which was a very thoughtful touch. Hygiene: The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, was clean, tidy, and well-ventilated. The lobby was also kept spotless at all times. The airport shuttle stop is right outside the hotel, and booking certain room types includes a free airport drop-off, making it the best choice for return journeys."

"If you ever need a place to calm your excitement, or a spot to let your happiness linger a little longer before heading to Daocheng Yading airport, Sanmao is the place for you. It’s the perfect way to say goodbye to the vastness of Western Sichuan after a challenging hike. It is cozy, aesthetic, clean, and spacious enough for your body to finally relax. It is best if you arrive on a sunny day. You can sit under the tree with the sunlight dancing, music playing, and the two birds nearby - one trying to sing you a song, the other chirping a 'nihao' to welcome you. In that moment, you will feel your heart at peace. If you ever need anything, the owner is always there to support you in a heartbeat (They speak English fluently!). If Western Sichuan is a dream, Sanmao is the perfect ending to a memory you will hold dear for a lifetime."

"The B&B's overall ambiance is amazing, with a strong ethnic vibe everywhere. The owner, a lovely lady, is incredibly gentle and kind, offering attentive and thoughtful service. She can help arrange travel tickets and tour itineraries. The location is superb, just a five or six-minute walk to the scenic area, and they even offer free shuttle service to and from town. The front desk staff patiently recommends local specialty dishes, making dining and getting around super convenient. I highly recommend it! Although I didn't take any pictures, I truly urge everyone to go; I promise I'm not a shill!"

"Of all the hotels I stayed at during my trip to Western Sichuan, this was the best I could recommend! First: It was cheap! Incredibly cheap! Excellent value for money! Second: Because it was a new hotel, the facilities were all new and clean! Anyone who's traveled to Western Sichuan knows how important a clean hotel is! Third: It had underfloor heating! When I booked, I saw it had underfloor heating, but the price was so cheap that I even called the owner to confirm it was there and could be turned on. I checked again when I arrived. I was amazed when I went in; the lobby was huge and bright, completely unlike its ordinary appearance from the outside. The only downside is that it's located in a village, making it more suitable for those traveling by car."

"I have to rave about the hotel lobby's lounge area – it's so thoughtful! There are complimentary snacks like local dried apples and pears on the tables, and free rhodiola rosea tea to help with altitude sickness, plus three other drinks to choose from. The scenic photos of the Yading Nature Reserve displayed nearby really show off its beauty. The TV was playing Yading travel tips, so I could relax, sip tea, and learn about the area at the same time. Big thumbs up! The room was spacious and very quiet, so I slept really well. Breakfast was also satisfying. I never expected to find such a gem of a hotel in the ******* region. Great value for money!"

"Honestly, I don't think this hotel deserves a 4.8 rating based on my personal experience. First off, the front desk lady who checked me in and helped with parking was very enthusiastic. I originally booked this hotel because the description mentioned in-room oxygen supply. However, another front desk staff member told me that the oxygen equipment couldn't be delivered to the room and was only available in the hotel lobby. That was a big disappointment. The complimentary congee in the evening and the breakfast were both decent. The hotel's location, situated between the town and the scenic area, is a bit awkward. It's inconvenient for dining, and driving to the scenic area means dealing with traffic."
