Cheap Hotels in Almeria

"I booked a simple room . Most of the rooms facing an interior faces inside with no natural light . The room was stuffy so I opened the window but it faces an inside ..what do you call it, open space so I was still hot. I tried to turn on the air conditioner but couldn’t because it was too early to have the centrally control air conditioner on. The receptionist was very nice and changed me to an enormous room that has 2 window that faces the outside. I could see the rain coming down. The room faces another building about 5 ? meters away . There are restaurants below but being rainy days there were few guests.  The location is fantastic and close to everything. There is even a Carl’s Junior Burger Restaurant not too far away. But, the nearby pedestrian street is under renovation and resurfacing so probably 80 % of the street is fenced in . If you prefer natural light, you have to request for a room that has window that faces the small alley way and pay more.  Oh, there is not hot water kettle but the receptionist said I can have hot water any time  because inside the restaurant, it is available and the receptionist can get it for you. "

"All right, except that I requested double bed on the trip app, and when they arrived, they told me my request was not sent to them and gave me a room with 3 girl beds."

"The hotel itself is amazing but: - Shower door did not close properly and therefore we got ”floods” everyday in the toilet. - Mosquitos: I do understand that we are in a ”wild” enviroment but it was amazing every time we open the curtain of the terrace how were falling many mosquitos. During the night, going to the toilet was an expirience as well. Too many mosquitos...they should try to do something with this. - Meals: they do not include beverage, its normal until you are charged 3'5€ for an opened bottle of water when they should serve or at least give the option to have it for free since the law says that. - Checkin: the girl of the counter just told us, ”hey scan this QR code and everything is explained”, why shall I download an app of the hotel? is it so hard to explain just in few second all the activities of the hotel? - Breakfast: Bakery quality worse than any other hotel I tried... Speaking about amenities hotel is perfect, big pools, nice decoration, buffet was ok and it has direct access to the beach. Its a pity that the service is not at Barcelo level standards."

"Everything went ok... until the last day when the bathroom door lock broke locking me inside. Luckily there was a window in the bathroom - I could yell for help (which came very fast - but you need to be able to say your room number in Spanish). Now to the hotel / room review: The room is small but it's ok if you only going to spend there the night; there is a minifridge. One of the downsides is the air conditioning pointing directly at the bed - you either freeze or sweat."
