Anonymous UserThis was the only hotel we stayed at in Qufu that we were really satisfied with. It's a 3-minute walk from Wanren Palace Wall and right next to the Confucius Temple, and a 10-minute taxi ride to the Confucius Museum. The hotel's courtyard-style environment is very comfortable, and they even thoughtfully provided a fruit platter upon check-in. Their restaurant is quite a popular spot in Qufu, and we had a decent lunch there. It was so pleasant to enjoy a meal by the pool in the summer heat. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also very impressive, with some delicious Shandong specialties. We booked a two-story duplex room with two bathrooms, which was incredibly convenient for two families. Everyone absolutely loved it!

Guest UserStaying at your hotel in Qufu was a pleasant surprise! The entire hotel, from the lobby to the hallways, was very clean. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good. The front desk staff and cleaning ladies were especially warm and attentive, even helping us with accommodation at Nishan. The breakfast had a great variety and tasted wonderful. If you're looking for a quiet hotel in Qufu, this place is definitely worth a stay.

Jessie Ly Doan 丽丽The hotel just opened in 2024, so everything is still very new. The reception is on the top floor (27th), along with the restaurant, gym, and laundry room.
My room was decorated in a B-Duck theme. It was super spacious and even had toys inside, which my child really enjoyed. Everything was cute and carefully arranged. I was surprised to see a Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom!
The breakfast buffet was delicious and had more variety than other hotels I’ve stayed at recently. I especially liked the instant coffee packets – very convenient, and not many hotels offer that.
There’s a free laundry and drying service, and they even folded the clothes and delivered them to the room after drying.
Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is also in a very convenient area, close to a supermarket and lots of good restaurants.
I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Qufu.

Guest UserThe hotel has a predominantly Chinese resort-style vibe, and I'd give top marks for its location, facilities, amenities, and service. Most importantly, the hotel's atmosphere is fantastic.
The hotel is just a wall away from the Three Confucius Sites scenic area, but compared to the uninspired tick-the-box sightseeing, a staycation at QuFu JW Marriott completely blows it out of the water.
Before coming, I checked some online reviews, and some mentioned the hotel's hardware was subpar. I actually think that's a bit unfair. Firstly, the room's layout is excellent, giving a very well-designed feel. The bathroom features Kohler fixtures, and for a hotel opened in 2019, it even has a Kohler automatic toilet. My only two minor criticisms are that the night light isn't very bright, and the water temperature fluctuates during showers. The hotel's soft furnishings are also very interesting, with many books of ancient Chinese poetry (Shijing) in seal script and bamboo carvings. The decor is very Qufu-esque, incorporating many local elements, which is truly wonderful.
Regarding amenities, I tried the hotel's Chinese restaurant and the barbecue restaurant. Both offer great value for money, and the service quality is excellent, with the dishes receiving top marks. At the Chinese restaurant, I recommend the stir-fried shrimp with cabbage, and at the barbecue restaurant, the pork belly skewers. The Chinese restaurant's decor also has a very Confucian feel, and the barbecue restaurant even has a live singer, making the atmosphere truly superb. As for breakfast, guest services actually provided a complimentary one, but they stop serving at 10 AM, and I only woke up at 10:01 AM... This is probably my only minor regret, but it's not a big deal and gives me something to look forward to for my next visit! Here's a small suggestion: for a resort hotel, breakfast should ideally be served until at least 10:30 AM.
In terms of guest services, both the concierge and the WeChat butler were excellent, with very prompt responses to requests. I'm very grateful for them making me feel right at home. The welcome fruit delivered in the evening was ginseng fruit, and although there wasn't a huge variety, it was unique and tasted particularly good.
Finally, a huge thank you to: the manager of the Chinese restaurant (I actually gave a small suggestion regarding the food presentation, and because of their excellent service attitude, despite a minor issue, they even sent me a fruit platter – truly embodying Qufu hospitality's humble approach), Sun Na and Zhang Xue from housekeeping, and Xiao Yuan and Xiao Gao from guest relations. Thank you all for providing me with such a 'home away from home' experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Qufu. The hotel is elegant, very clean, and what impressed me the most was its beautiful traditional Chinese-style design, which perfectly matches the cultural atmosphere of Qufu.
All of the staff were professional, welcoming, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Their kindness and attention to detail made me feel very comfortable.
The breakfast was outstanding, with a great variety of high-quality food. I would rate it 9.5 out of 10.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Qufu, and I would be happy to stay here again.

Xuanliduocai79The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the Confucius Temple. They offer free parking, including EV charging stations. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, and there's complimentary freshly ground coffee and juice in the lobby. The room was clean and tidy, equipped with a smart speaker, and the bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and they provide hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, which all smell quite pleasant.

It was a very good experience. I didn't have high expectations, but I was actually very surprised. It was said that porridge would be delivered in the evening, but I arrived late and missed it. There were fruits delivered, and a small gift was delivered when I left the next day. The buffet was rich and delicious, and the children were exempted from tickets. Recommended

yuxiaoxuHuge thanks to Butler No. 56 for the warm and thoughtful service! The Analects of Confucius souvenir was also a practical touch. The hotel's decor has a beautiful traditional Chinese style, with quotes from the Analects and displays of intangible cultural heritage throughout, which was delightful to see. Our trip was even more enjoyable thanks to all of you.

d_n_aThe main reason for our stay in Qufu was, of course, Confucius, and this hotel has a good location: we could easily walk to the Temple, envy as in with the mansion, then ride a horse pulled cart to the cemetery. Contract fulfilled. The sport place, across the street had fun night activities, and there were a lot of eateries, cheap and delicious, on the block
The hotel itself shows its age with some deferred maintenance, such as a rusted parts in the bathroom, a sub-optimal laundry room, and some lacking service: for example, the tea and coffee bags in the room, an Atour highlight, were not replenished, and we were not offered water upon departure.
Great breakfast, as always.
