Fukuoka Hostels

I enjoyed my stay here as a female solo traveler. The bed and room lighting are adjustable, so even if you like staying up late with the lights on, you don't have to worry about disturbing others because the bed area is covered by a privacy blind. It's very comfortable to have a queen-size bed in a capsule hotel compared to many others. There's no need to climb stairs, and there is plenty of space in the room to store your belongings. You can also leave large luggage outside your room. I also managed to do some night sightseeing around Tenjin and Nakatsu. The night views were beautiful. If there’s a chance I will definitely come back here again.

This place is super convenient as it's directly connected to the subway station. After midnight, some exits are restricted, but once you're above ground, there's a convenience store, and just a short walk leads to plenty of restaurants and shops. It's only one subway stop from Tenjin Station, so it's a great base no matter where you're headed. If you stay multiple nights, you can use the lockers for free, which is perfect for storing large suitcases. They clean the beds daily. They also provide amenities like loungewear, slippers, and towels. The in-facility Wi-Fi doesn't reach the beds, so you might need your own mobile hotspot. Food is only allowed in the area next to the front desk. If you have a busy schedule and just need a place to sleep at night, this is a good option.

I stayed alone at Ninehours Hakata Station, and it was a good place for solo travelers. However, it was a bit inconvenient that there was no refrigerator, I had to be out of the accommodation from 11 AM to 3 PM, and luggage storage after check-out was not available. Also, with only one power outlet and one USB port in the room, it was inconvenient when using multiple electronic devices. Additionally, there was a large tree in the common area, and I saw bugs that looked like baby cockroaches around it, which made me a bit hesitant to use the common space. Nevertheless, considering the affordable price, I was generally satisfied, and I would be willing to stay here again if I visit Fukuoka alone.

Love this hotel very much. Easy check in and out system using personal PIN number which will be emailed to you. Clean rooms, Comfy bed and modern toilet. Perfect view of the river. Did not want the housekeeping to bother us for the 6 days we stayed, so they just provided change of towels and just bring your trash to Recep everyday. Enough space to open 3 huge luggages. There's a 7/11 nearby and big mall with cinema just across the river. Recommended. We will be back.

Position good, 3 mins from metro, 3mins to supermarket. You can drive, pay car park next to hotel 3 beds clean ok But not recommend for family with oldies, need walk straight stairs Not much sun light at all, only small window. I cannot happy with the aircon dirrect to the bed..if turn low wind will get hot in the whole apt. Is good if the washing has dry cloth function. My mark is 7/10. Hope can improve

The location is perfect, directly connected to Exit 2 of the subway station. The interior was clean, and overall, I'm satisfied. My only minor complaint is that moving between floors inside (from the 7th to the 8th floor, for example) is only possible by stairs.

The self-check-in machine was easy to use and had a Chinese language option. It's very close to Gofukumachi Subway Station, Exit 5. The downside is there's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs to the exit – it was a real struggle! Then you take the escalator to the street level. Once you exit, turn left, then turn left again at the first traffic light you see. Turn right when you see LAWSON, and the hotel will be right there. The main entrance has two white wooden swing doors. The only drawback is that the hotel doesn't provide a washing machine or dryer for guests. You have to take your clothes out to a self-service laundromat. Our room had a huge crack in the window glass. I took a photo and showed it to the staff, and they said they were aware of it, so that's good, I guess. The bathroom is small and has no place to hang towels or clothes. You have to step out of the shower to dry yourself, which can be cold when the air conditioning is on due to the temperature difference. They only provide body wash and shampoo; you need to bring your own conditioner. There's no mirror on the desk, which is inconvenient for women who need to do their makeup. Remember to bring your own mirror. There's only one mirror above the sink, but it's a bit far, making makeup application awkward. The room space is quite large. We had no problem opening two 30-inch large suitcases. The higher floors offer views of the buildings outside. You'll need to keep the curtains closed, or everyone will see inside! 😂

Summary: don't stay here. You've been warned. I've been to many capsule hotels in Japan. None were as horribly bad and overpriced as this one. Good: close to the station and the staff do what they can within their (very confined) perceived limits Bad: no sound insulation so you get to enjoy ambient sounds like traffic, trains and other patrons scuffling about during nighttime. The mattress is moldy, dirty and super thin so it doesn't feel comfortable unless you're used to sleeping on a moldy floor. The layout makes absolutely no sense at all. They tried cramming in as many capsules as possible in one small area and called it a day. 2 toilet stalls for 62 capsules? Laughable. The bath area is minuscule so you're queueing just to get a cramped dip. Lockers are minuscule and the luggage area is right next to the reception so you have to cross public area just to get some stuff out of your luggage. No space to unpack in peace either. I'd rather have them drop the breakfast and bathing area in favour of fixing the one thing they're supposed to deliver: a good night's sleep. Consider this place a last resort, not a proper stay.

Room: comfortable bed, storage box, mirror, space under the bed, hanger, a good chunk of space next to the bed, light, plugs, fan, full curtain, and steps to the higher bunks rather than a ladder. all really useful features. Bathroom: spacious shower. shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton buds, good hair dryer, towels. Little bit of grime around the edges but generally clean. Security: pin on hostel after certain hours I think. Amenities: fridge. downstairs eating area.I don't think there is a washing machine but there are numerous coin laundry places in walking distance. Location: not the most convenient location but not bad e.g. from the train station, you can go one stop by bus but still have to walk ten minutes, but there are limited places to cross the road and street lighting can be poor so follow your directions carefully. however within the surrounding area itself there is a good mix of convenience stores and restaurants. Other: noise from downstairs and other rooms.
