"The exterior is a mess, but the interior is partly lovely. The rooms are small but tastefully renovated and very cozy. The bed, in particular, is incredibly comfortable. However, the rest of the building is ancient, which is especially noticeable in the cramped and rattly elevators from the 1960s. I had a room at the back, so it was quiet. Rooms facing the street, however, can be noisy. The price-performance ratio is very good."

"Clean and modern hotel in the ”niu”-Style. Decent-size room with very comfortable bed. Not much facilities (no fridge in room, no water provided...), and no gym facilities - but that is fine with the very reasonable price point. Some limited dining options at the reception bar in the evening (pizza or Flammkuchen). Overall all was fine and would book again."

"No heating in the bathroom, after a long and several discussions I was given another room where I had a working heater and then they came with the cheeky statement that I should look in the other rooms to see if they had a working heater. Service is 0. I was there several times and that was also my last visit there. No recommendation."

"Honestly this hotel was wonderful. Great location, the room was clean and well maintained and the staff was very helpful. Located on a pedestrian street with a Christmas Market, there is some outside noise during the night but nothing that disturbed our sleep. We found the beds very comfortable, and the room was nice. Ava at the front desk was amazing and wonderful to chat to. The location is excellent. Lots of restaurants, bars, malls etc. and very close to the train station."

"Located near the train station and the pedestrian zone, but not loud. The check in and check out was smooth. The room was quite large, the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was OK. There was a large clothes, many deposit boxes and sticks. nice would have been a additional water cooker plus tea bag. The room and all public areas were very clean."

"The staff were incredibly accommodating. I had a free early check in and a late check out (as the hotel wasn't too busy for this option). The hotel room was honestly impeccable. Brilliant amenities and space without compromising on quality. Bed was a 10/10 and the option to cook in the room was an instant winner for late night snacks after work. There are available snacks downstairs throughout the night, and the breakfast is free. Attached is an image from a good local bar also (Cafe Nord) - CASH ONLY. Brilliant atmosphere and not too far from the hotel."

The hotel is very centrally located, just a few meters from the pedestrian zone. Unfortunately, because of this, people from the drug scene also hang around in the area, but that's sadly the case in every major city. At the hotel itself, however, there are absolutely no problems. Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly.

My son really loved the hotel's design aesthetic. The room's decor perfectly matched the overall industrial, factory-like theme of the hotel. There was no kettle, coffee machine, or fridge in the room; if you needed anything, you had to go down to the bar. We bought some ham and fruit but couldn't finish it, so we had to store it in the fridge downstairs. The classic European breakfast offered very few hot dishes, mostly cold items. Luckily, there's a large Chinese supermarket nearby, which satisfied my Chinese palate!

I booked this hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany in November for an exhibition, and it was much cheaper than staying in Düsseldorf itself. I left at 8:30 am every day, and even with traffic, I arrived at the exhibition hall around 9 am. Free parking was available, and there were plenty of spaces. Check-in was done at the self-service machine after the front desk closed; remember to take a photo of the room key code, as there are no room cards. The room was a bit larger than I expected, and the double bed was very comfortable. German winters are consistently cold and damp, and it rained every day, but the room wasn't damp. The hotel is located between residential buildings and a road, quite far away, so it's very quiet. There's a Burger King nearby, and about 1.5 kilometers away is the largest shopping mall in the area, with chain supermarkets and all kinds of brands—very convenient. Breakfast was €12.50 per person; the selection wasn't huge, but it was sufficient. I'll definitely book this hotel again next year; it's very convenient.

The hotel is a bit far from the main train station, about one subway stop away and then a 10-15 minute walk. The room was quite clean. The decor was industrial and new. Breakfast was a good value, at 10 euros per person, which was the cheapest option.

Highly recommended. Hotel is next to metro station. Walking distance to Messe Fair, also have a lot of restaurants nearby. The rooms are newly renovated, free coffee and tea are provided. The common rooms/areas are excellent to meet business partners. I definitely will book this hotel in next year.

Very good, the location is in the city center, very good, very original, and very clean. Did not eat breakfast, there are pancakes and fruits nearby. There is a parking lot, but you need to check in before 11 o'clock, or no one at the front desk can check in and can’t park the car

i enjoyed my stay here immensely, the staff were helpful, they gave me a late check in due to travel arrangements & also provided iron & ironing board when I requested it. I would have liked to see milk for the coffee available in my room, & at times the property behind was a little loud. but still an excellent stay

Based on the reviews, we didn't have high expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised and can only recommend the hotel. Large room, comfortable bed, and breakfast with extras. Street noise was disturbing, but it was quiet at night.

The room is small, very small, the elevator is also very small, overall it is OK, Halloween, there are not many hotel rooms nearby. The most speechless was at ten o'clock in the morning, the staff knocked on the door, I didn't respond within ten seconds, I opened the door directly, I didn't wear clothes... I didn't come next time.

a 8 minute tram ride from essen center hbf. Then a minute walk to the hotel. Check in is lengthy, took like 5 minutes but the room/building is very clean and comfortable. Supermarket is right next to it so getting drinks and food is convenient.
