"Stayed in the family room. I was a bit scared at first because I booked it just looking for something cheap and saw some bad reviews on Google. Plus, it was super quiet when I arrived. I was also worried the room itself would be a disappointment when I first walked in.
But it turns out the room was great! I got a room in Anggrek 1. The bed was still new, the sheets were clean enough, and the bathroom was spacious, clean, and even had a water heater. The only thing is that the building is old, and so is the room's design. However, the location is super strategic – it's only about a 10-minute walk to Malioboro, and close to everywhere else.
The downsides were the air conditioning. Even though it was cool enough, for some reason it seemed to be set to turn off every night at 11 PM, and I couldn't get the remote to change it. The power outlets weren't great; whenever I charged electronics, they'd feel loose, and it seemed like the power output was low, so charging took forever. The wardrobe was old, so it wasn't in great condition. Another downside was that there wasn't a water heater in the room, but they did provide a dispenser in the lobby."
