Initially, I was hesitant when I saw that the smallest dorm was an 8-bed room, as I'm used to at least 6-bed rooms in China. However, my actual stay was excellent. Thankfully, during my one-night stay, none of the eight people snored like a freight train. I've encountered 'tractors' before and couldn't sleep a wink, which was miserable. The decor of this place is really good, even better than their pictures suggest. The photos looked a bit too 'Lijiang' for my taste, which made me distrustful and imagine the interior would be messy, but it was actually very nice. Among all the hostels I've stayed in, this one easily makes my top list! They have a free-to-use ping-pong table and a pool table in the courtyard, which is super cool. This stay far exceeded my expectations! Very nice!

The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the front desk responded promptly. The location is quiet, perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a serene stay. Overall, it offers good value for money, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

I was absolutely delighted with the room! The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the room was very quiet yet conveniently located for getting around. RAW Exclusive Butler Service: The butler was always online and very thoughtful, asking what we'd like for breakfast each night and even offering room service. Cleanliness: The housekeeping staff was especially attentive, asking if we needed anything restocked or replaced. Staying at such a wonderful hotel has made us even more excited for our trip to Yunnan!

The front desk staff, especially the young lady, provided exceptional service! On our first day, our takeout order got lost right after we checked in. She not only brought us a sachet and a fruit platter but also offered to compensate us. Her attitude was truly outstanding. Losing the takeout wasn't their fault at all, but they went above and beyond. When we checked out, they even gave us parting gifts like small combs and flower cakes. We needed to store our luggage, and they proactively helped us push our suitcases. The hotel environment is also excellent, and the cleaning staff always asked if we needed our room serviced. Overall, our stay was fantastic in every aspect. Next time I'm in Kunming, I'll definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

The location is excellent. There are very few parking spaces right in front of the hotel, as they're shared with several restaurants. However, there's additional parking available across the street, and the hotel reimburses the parking fee. Initially, the staff assigned us a room at the very end of the hall, and another room that required a physical key, which was quite inconvenient. After communicating, they promptly switched our room. The room itself isn't very big, but its prime location makes up for it. The nearby market is huge and a great place to browse due to the wide variety of goods, though I didn't find the prices particularly cheap. The soundproofing in the room isn't great – it feels more like thin partitions than solid walls. Also, they use way too much air freshener; it was really overwhelming. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for those traveling with elderly family or children, or anyone who has high expectations for space and environment. However, if your expectations aren't too high, I'd actually recommend it, especially considering the relatively affordable summer rates.

I dont think you can get a better deal for the price. Its clean, the bathroom is amazing, there are international power sockets and 3 washing machines. The only downside is that although the hotel is kind of in the centre, theres not much going on in the close proximity.

Traveling with seniors and kids, the environment was quite good. Especially the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. I'm particular about pillows when I sleep, but on the first night, I slept soundly until morning. I thought the second night would be just as good. However, on the second night, the TV in my room kept turning on by itself, and the curtains would open a crack. At 6:03 AM, I suddenly felt a bright light (I'm very sensitive to light), and then I vaguely heard the TV. After searching for a while, I realized the sound was coming from our room's TV, even though it was off (black screen, no picture). But… how could a turned-off TV suddenly make noise? I didn't dare to think too much about it. Instinctively, I used the remote to turn the TV on, then off again. A few minutes later, the sound came from the TV again 😓. At a little past 7 AM, when the sound came out of the TV for the 5th time, I wanted to unplug it, but the plug seemed to be hidden behind the TV. Finally, I just turned the TV on, lowered the volume to the minimum, and let it stay on if it wanted to… When I checked out, I reported it to the front desk. They said I should have told them immediately, and they would have arranged a room change. But I had my child with me (who was sleeping soundly), and it was already morning (we were checking out that day), so I didn't want to go through the hassle. Later, a staff member actively contacted me to offer compensation, but I politely declined. The hotel environment is good, and breakfast was decent. Thankfully, it wasn't the middle of the night, otherwise, it would have been truly terrifying.

My stroll through Kunming's Green Lake, Military Academy, and Yunnan University was an absolutely fulfilling experience! These three attractions are very close to each other, making them perfect for a leisurely walk through the old town and its cultural charm. Green Lake, known as the 'Eye of Kunming,' boasts serene waters and lush trees. Strolling around the lake is incredibly pleasant, and you can truly feel the unique relaxed vibe and local life of the 'Spring City.' Stepping out of Green Lake, you'll find the Yunnan陸軍講武堂 (Yunnan陸軍講武堂 - Yunnan Military Academy). Its bright yellow, multi-story 'horse-track' building is grand and imposing. The historical materials in the exhibition halls offer a genuine glimpse into the turbulent modern history and the glorious past of this 'cradle of generals.' A short walk further brings you to Yunnan University. This century-old campus is dotted with ancient trees, and the red-brick architecture of Huize Hall exudes a timeless charm. The strong academic atmosphere is palpable. Wandering through the campus, you can not only admire the beautiful scenery but also touch upon its rich historical and cultural heritage. A perfect blend of culture and military history, with the lake scenery intertwined with history – and it's all free! No need to rush; just take your time to explore, and you'll be richly rewarded. I highly recommend this route for anyone visiting Kunming. It allows you to appreciate the city's beauty and immerse yourself in its historical depth. It's a truly worthwhile cultural and historical city route to experience.

The service is exceptional; all the staff members are incredibly enthusiastic. The hotel also offers laundry service, and you can check the laundry room status directly from your room's TV, which is a great touch. The breakfast spread is extensive, featuring both Chinese and Western options, and the coffee machine offers several beverage choices. Snacks and fruits are also available in the hotel lobby for guests to enjoy at any time.
