Hotels in Colorful Yunnan Paradise, Kunming

We booked a twin bedroom and were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room. It was also very clean. The washing machine provided is especially helpful for long-term travellers. In China, having WeChat is essential, as all important details are usually communicated through the app. There are many food stalls right below the hotel, which is very convenient. Just a note: the hotel occupies certain floors within a larger building, so it's helpful to remember the building and floor numbers in advance.

Decided to take a spontaneous trip with friends during the off-season. It was my first time in Kunming, and I wasn't sure where to stay, so I chose the Crowne Plaza Fuxian Lake, part of the InterContinental group. I hadn't realized how remote the location was. While there are quite a few tourist attractions nearby, getting around isn't convenient. It feels more suitable for couples looking for a romantic getaway or families with kids. There's an amusement park right next door. The hotel's standard amenities and facilities are excellent, and the environment is lovely. The room was great, with a small balcony. Kunming's climate is so pleasant, perfect for sitting on the balcony, enjoying the breeze, and clearing your mind. There's lush greenery all around, and the air is fresh. Ms. Clove at the front desk was very attentive. After check-in, she even sent over some travel guides and tips. The hotel service was really good, and we also received welcome fruits. The cleanliness was top-notch. After breakfast at the hotel, I returned to my room to find it already cleaned. They even neatly folded my messy clothes and tidied up my makeup bag – truly impressive! Overall, aside from the location, which was a bit disappointing, my entire experience at the hotel was fantastic.

We did not realize the lobby, the hotel, the swimming pool and the breakfast area are all in different locations, requiring walking some distance to each, mind you very tired from playing all day in the park 😂. Other than that everything else was excellent, especially the service staff, very friendly.

The room was spacious and the facilities were complete. Breakfast was plentiful, and there were jacaranda trees lining both sides of the road right outside the entrance. The location is also good; you can walk to Wolong Fishing Village, but it's quite far from the subway station, so it's more suitable for travelers with a car.

I stumbled upon this guesthouse and absolutely fell in love with it! The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. We had delightful conversations and learned so much about the local culture and customs. They even recommended a small eatery in the village, and the food was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip. I even tried to extend my stay this time, but they were fully booked. The old wooden house had a wonderful, historic charm. The bathroom was spotless, smelled fresh, and had no hint of dampness. While being an old wooden house meant occasional creaking sounds, it surprisingly didn't disturb my sleep at all. The courtyard offered a wonderfully comfortable and serene environment; simply relaxing there was pure bliss.

After comparing many hotels nearby, I finally chose this one. I was pleasantly surprised. There's a parking lot next to the hotel. The decoration is very new, the room is very clean and spacious. It's a smart room. The hotel also has an elevator, so there's no need to climb stairs. It's perfect for two girls. The most heartwarming thing is that we stayed during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the owner also shared some delicious food with me. It's awesome. I highly recommend it to my friends.

首先酒店整體的設計不錯 一樓咖啡廳很多人打卡 頂樓還有露台 風景不錯 適合安靜的發呆 來門口接送的兩位小哥哥都很好 出發得早 還給準備了熱牛奶 總體在設施和兩位小哥哥的貼心層面我給滿分💯 但是由於酒店地段處於景區 我和家人大概下午4點多左右辦好入住後就去了附近撈魚河玩 下午7:40分路邊打車等待40分鐘也沒打到車 考慮到長輩會感到辛苦 我們就在景區隨便吃了一點 真的太難吃了…我吃了一口 餓了一整天心情很差 酒店住房不能吃外賣的訊息是抵達後才知道的 有些失望 當時嗓子疼不想多説話 就沒和酒店服務人員多説了 在景區吃完一口糧食後回酒店路上烏漆嘛黑 沒有路燈 真的太絕了…… 回到酒店心情差到極致 想直接改酒店住到昆明南的 長輩覺得這邊入住了錢也不會給退 太虧了 晚上10點多咱們就回了房間 長輩很快入睡 最後致命的一擊是洗澡洗了3分鐘熱水器就是半冷水了 涼涼的洗完了 哎 最後一晚真過的太難受了 接着又聽到隔壁水龍頭🚰放水的聲音 內心是爆炸了 聯絡了酒店人員 快速響應了 我也很滿意這塊服務 衹是家人已經入睡 不好做任何調整了 旅行結束幾天了 我還是很責怪自己沒有安排好酒店 以及吃和行，希望下次來昆明可以刷新掉這次不愉快的經歷。

The hotel is the owner's own house, run by a handsome and experienced young man in his 20s. Located in Haiyan Village, you can drive right in, but other tourist vehicles are not allowed. The sunset in Haiyan Village is breathtaking (I'll upload a picture later). The Laoyu River, just steps away, is even more beautiful, with its metasequoia and bald cypress trees and the waters of Dianchi Lake creating a dreamlike world. The area boasts countless snacks, making it a truly unforgettable experience. In the evenings, the owner mixes cocktails for guests, and everyone gathers in the common area to enjoy drinks and chat, fostering closer relationships. In the mornings, the owner offers a refreshing iced Americano, waking you from sleep and making you feel right at home. Highly recommended. During our stay, there was a public toilet behind the house, which is said to be slated for demolition soon, but the room had no odor, so you can ignore it. The bedding was very comfortable, the room was fully smart, and there was plenty of hot water for washing. When we went to the Dounan Flower Market in the evening, the owner kept the door open for us – a truly warm and caring owner. Highly recommended.

Afternoon tea: None at all. Welcome fruit refreshments: just a few packets of biscuits or something. . . No fruit was seen either. Facilities: It’s the beginning of summer and the hotel’s central air conditioning can only provide heating. . I woke up in the middle of the night and was speechless when I saw that the only setting was heating. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Close to the shopping mall and there are food nearby. The soundproofing of the room is poor. You can hear everything that is said next door. The breakfast was not good either. Porridge is like soup. . Not hot either (went there at 8am 😓) Serve:. . . . . . . . . Not a good attitude.

I contacted the boss at around nine o'clock in the evening. He found that the order on the platform was not closed, so he sold an extra room. Then he coordinated everywhere and finally got us a three-bedroom sea view room. The B&B is in a newly built community. It can be seen that this community is mainly for vacation. Retirement, the community has a beautiful environment and has the resources to view Dianchi Lake. There are almost no cars in the basement parking lot at night, and the occupancy rate is very low. You can directly see the beautiful view of Dianchi Lake. The boss said that if you go earlier, you can sit on the balcony to watch the sunset. It is still very beautiful. It is recommended to stay.
