Hotels near Seokguram, Gyeongju

The hosts were very nice! We didn’t have body towels or a bed, and there is no elevator.

The location is great. Lots of old buildings, cafes, restaurants with traditional cuisine. There is a Buddhist temple nearby. In the evening, the picturesque streets are illuminated by lanterns But Check-in is after 19:00 (although the website said 16:00) I arrived at 1 pm in the pouring rain. And I asked to just leave my things in the storage room, or somewhere in a secluded corner. Not only are the doors locked - you have to call by phone. If you don't have a Korean SIM card, then that's it 🤷♀️🤷♀️ Next, the owner doesn't speak English, but that's not a problem. The problem is that there is no place to even sit down, leave things or go to the toilet. They simply asked me to go outside and walk until seven in the evening (in the rain, with a suitcase). It's good that I have a friend who called the owner and explained the situation and asked to at least put the suitcase in his closet. This is a motel where you drive up, close the door and go straight from the parking lot to your room. Ideal for car owners and those who need to spend a few hours in a hotel.

I had a fun trip to Gyeongju with my kids while staying at the Kolon Hotel for 3 days and 2 nights. The children had a great time experiencing Gyeongju, where history is alive. We had an ondol room since the children were young, and it was nice because it was warm. In the evening, it was nice to watch the sunset while drinking unlimited beer at Moonlight Pocha. The atmosphere and taste are good, so I think it would be a good idea to stop by. My husband said the golf course here was pretty so he went to play golf in the morning. It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip.

Because I like to travel, I often go to the cost-effective accommodation facilities, but the host here is more kind, so I think it's very comfortable! Foreign girlfriends were so happy and the facilities were so good, not to mention! 100% willing to come back with friends next time 🩵

First of all, I was excited because it looked like a house from a fairy tale.^^ Haha. I went earlier than the check-in time and asked if I could just pick up my luggage first, so the owner personally moved all my luggage to the accommodation. I felt like I was treated well. The kids loved the duplex structure, with the upper floor having an attic feel. As it is a pension, you could cook as long as you had food supplies. I think the kitchen facilities were perfect. However, we left empty-handed and felt a little disappointed. I woke up in the morning and the background of the reservoir was completely healing. I would like to book again on my next trip.
