"Very disappointing experience with Tru by Hilton Midland East. We booked two rooms using Hilton Honors points, checked in through the Hilton app, received room assignments, and received an email confirming our digital key request that stated nothing else was needed. We also have screenshots showing we called the hotel before midnight, and during that call the hotel confirmed our rooms were across from each other. When we arrived around 3:00 AM, we were told the reservation had been marked as a no-show, but they still manually let us into the rooms. The next morning, we were told we should be good to go because the rooms were paid with points. Later, our card was charged $170.77 per room, even though the stay still shows as canceled in the Hilton app. Manager Krista Wright refused to refund the charges and sent an email stating this could be reported to fraud and our Hilton Honors account could be suspended. We also found proof that another reservation was created under our account before we arrived and then canceled, which we did not authorize. To us, this shows the hotel knew there was an issue and was trying to fix it by creating new reservations without our consent. We are escalating this with Hilton and fighting the charges."

"Much better than the last time and I am absolutely grateful that we could work things out and the staff was amazing and the communication has definitely gotten so much better and what a blessing may all are so from my last review till now please exclude that I was disrespectful I wasn’t understanding And they have things going on that they had no control over and I should have been a better person which I was not absolutely amazing staff blessed by God and a heart of gold and I’m thankful that they took my apology for my rudeness of the last review. It was an all God trip this time and that’s the only way I can say it is Love God first and the things that we do wrong he’ll help correct even if we’re stubborn old mules, and I’m just thankful that they forgave me and what a blessed visit it was I’m cleaning this was 100%. They went above and beyond on all levels and just so much more so don’t question when you stay here I never will again they are very forgiving people even when we make mistakes and get misconstrued and I’m grateful for that, I thank God for this visit again and the ability to have a safe place to stay and very caring and loving people All ages  and hearts of gold so the one thing I can say I’ve learned all this before we use our sharp tongues and source to tear somebody down or tear a place down. Remember our wrongs cause no one is perfect even if we have to eat the crow at least do it with learning and understanding that the next time that could actually hurt a business and take away from them and that’s not right beyond lovely people people of God I’m grateful for everything and anything and I can’t say in detail, but I just can’t say enough that treat him like gold. They deserve it. Don’t treat him like crap. We’re all human. Please remember that God gave us a chance to love and cheer people up. Remember, they have good days and bad days too like we do. They deserve respect, honor, and being treated like class not beneath our feet, and these people are way above and honorable and classy, and I’m thankful for them! y’all have a blessed day just remember who you tear down you may not get a second chance to fix it hope and pray that God will let you fix it his way not our way. Thank you to the amazing staff the building and everything I was truly blessed to just be in the presence of y’all and magnificent of being around y’all and your nice building and I thank God for people like you have an absolutely blessed day and trust God with your life you’ll fix what we can’t fix!"

"I booked a King Non-Smoking room. Room was very large and spacious and included a small refrigerator and microwave. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The free wifi in the room was great and had no issues staying connected. They have breakfast every morning - sometimes there are hot options such as bacon, sausage, eggs. There are also waffles you can make for yourself. There are also the usual continental style breakfast. The breakfast was good The staff is always very friendly and helpful with any questions or need for assistance. The cost of the room was very affordable and good value. In a great area - with 2 coffee establishments next door and across the street. Felt very safe in this area."

"Go here usually every weekend. Never stay just pop If I'm on that side for town in the morning to fuel up before heading off to continue my misbehaving ways, not going to say there breakfast is good, the biscuits are ok they have tru-moo chocolate milk and good yogurt, there coffee is blah and the gravy is made from a horrible mix, they have the waffle not the Texas one but it's ok and they do have a oatmeal bar which on occasions is ok. But between what they have the pancake machine across the parking lot and the red velvet waffles at the hotel across the ally it's worth it. Nice clean bathroom though.."
