"The road to the hotel was still under development and went through a forest, but the hotel itself – the floors, walls, and inside the room, including the bed and bathroom – was very clean! Toilet paper was provided! The shower pressure was very low compared to Japan, but I was able to wash my hair slowly. Nothing was stolen during room service, and they cleaned the room well! I'd love to stay here again."

"Our family had such a wonderful stay at Funny Lion! From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel so welcome, comfortable, and completely stress-free throughout our visit. The warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail truly made this a memorable experience for all of us. A very special thank you to the General Manager for leading such an outstanding team, and to Janine for being extra patient, kind, and incredibly helpful during our stay. She truly went above and beyond to make sure my questions and requests were attended to. Huge thanks as well to all the rest of the staff members who were consistently friendly abd attentive in every way. We also really enjoyed the food at Hunt Restaurant — definitely on the pricier side, but the quality and taste made it worth it. We originally wanted to dine at C75 as well, but it was fully booked, so I highly recommend making reservations in advance. The buffet breakfast was also very good, although the spread was a little limited. The pool was very well maintained, and we appreciated that water activities like kayaking were included free of charge. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit the resort sandbar due to unexpected boat issues. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with lovely little touches like fresh fruit juice and daily snacks that made the stay feel extra special. Overall, it was such a warm, relaxing, and enjoyable family getaway. Thank you, Funny Lion, for the amazing hospitality — we can’t wait to come back!"

"Excellent welcome, very pretty establishment, with a beautiful green outdoor layout. An incredible swimming pool to relax after a day visiting the surroundings. Very well located, a little away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which can be reached very quickly by scooter to rent in front of the hotel for 500PHP / day. Stayed in room No. 10 slightly offset from the pool, which allows not to be disturbed in the evening, beautiful room, well equipped, extra large bed and a small terrace. Excellent staff service. Thank you for this very good stay at the end of January 2025 ❤️ Josselyn and Karine"

"Hotel was nice, the staff were very friendly and helpful, but a few portions of the resort are under renovation. The main pool needs repair. Other than that, we had a very good experience."

"Affordable and quality hotel! We stayed in a Pool Access Queen Room, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. They also gave us a complimentary 2-hour extended stay since our free airport transfer was scheduled 4 hours after our original check-out time. The staff were approachable and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel! 👌🏻"

"We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before heading to El Nido. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The view from the pool, overlooking Honda Bay, is simply breathtaking. The hotel offers complimentary airport transfers and shuttle service to/from Robinson's Mall. You can also conveniently book a minivan to El Nido directly through them. In my opinion, the breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Options included scrambled eggs/omelets, cereal, bread, jams, and butter. There was very little fruit and only one salad. The rice, soups, and other dishes weren't particularly appealing to a European palate (the meat and fish were too overcooked). However, the à la carte menu for dinner and lunch (which is paid) was, on the contrary, very delicious. The hotel itself is quite old. The furniture in the rooms shows its age. There was also a slight musty smell, although the cleanliness was maintained. The staff were incredibly pleasant and responsive. Overall, the hotel is suitable for 1-2 nights, but don't rely too heavily on the photos."

"The hotel is conveniently located near the airport; it's quiet and offers a good night's sleep. A beautiful lagoon with a wild beach is a 40-minute scooter ride away. All amenities are a 10-minute drive away. Breakfasts are good, always featuring scrambled eggs, sausages or meat, pancakes or toast with toppings, and freshly brewed coffee. Grab food delivery is available until 11 PM, but the hotel's own restaurant is also quite good. The room had all the amenities, including air conditioning and a refrigerator. There was hot water, but the pressure was very weak, and the plumbing was very old and the hoses were leaking. The staff was very responsive. They were happy to answer any questions and help with anything. Airport transfers were also available, as were transfers to other cities, even to the other end of the island. The experience was excellent."

"Good day, Astoria! I sincerely appreciate the warm hospitality, the comfortable accommodation, and the exceptional service throughout my stay. Every member of your team made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued. A special thank you to the dining staff for the wonderful birthday surprise. The beautiful balloons, delicious cupcake, and the heartfelt singing of ”Happy Birthday” made my celebration extra special. Your thoughtful gesture turned an ordinary meal into a truly memorable experience that I will always treasure. Furthermore, my heartfelt thanks to the housekeeping team for your prompt assistance and for attending to our needs with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. Your dedication and excellent service made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you to the entire Astoria team for going above and beyond to make my birthday celebration so meaningful. Your warmth, thoughtfulness, and outstanding hospitality created memories that I will cherish for years to come. I look forward to staying with Astoria again. Wishing your entire team continued success and God's abundant blessings! ❤️🎈🧁🎉 Yours truly, JOSUA GALLA"

"This is an excellent hotel. Both the service and the room's facilities, hardware and software, are outstanding. They offer welcome coconuts, a minibar with healthy drinks, and even turn-down service at night. The TV has all major platforms and free movies. The room feels spacious and the bed is large and comfortable. All staff members, from the front desk to the restaurant and even the lifeguards, are friendly and polite. I really appreciate their conversations and service. However, I must mention that the hotel is currently in a 'soft-run' phase. During the day, there's a lot of ongoing renovation and occasional construction noise in various areas, and the spa is not yet complete. The dining options are limited (though every dish I had was delicious). Also, the rooms have a smart power detection system that automatically shuts off power, including the mini-fridge, when no one is in the room. This means drinks can't stay cold all the time, and charging your phone while you're out of the room isn't reliable. Despite these points, I still highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is relaxing, perfect for unwinding and taking peaceful walks by the sea – it's truly wonderful."
