Those who took the elderly on a trip felt particularly satisfied with the accommodation. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the price is low. The transportation is convenient. It is just one intersection away from Exit 1 of Metro Line 2. It takes about six or seven minutes to walk. It is especially convenient for eating. There are restaurants and fruit shops downstairs and around the corner. The service attitude is very good and very enthusiastic. The wheelchairs for the elderly are stored at the front desk and are taken care of very well. The only drawback is that for the 80-year-old elderly, there is no elevator and it is very physically demanding. Others are fine. At Songhong Station of the No. 2 Subway, only Exit 3 has a barrier-free elevator, and there are no elevators for other downwards.

I was devastated when I first saw the hotel. I just got off the business class and walked downstairs to the hotel to hesitate whether to place an order and stay here. I had two full suitcases and two backpacks. There was no elevator and I had to lift it up by myself. After hesitating for a while, I clicked on Ctrip and found that after using Ctrip points + coupons, I only had to pay 16 yuan. It only costs 16 yuan, what else do you need for a bicycle? Hurry up and check in. The sheets and quilts were quite clean, at least they were new. But through the quilt cover, I could smell a faint smell of smoke coming from the mattress inside. Because I had to catch a train in a few hours, I fell asleep hastily and did not experience the bathroom. I didn't dare to turn on the air conditioner because I was worried about the smell of smoke. Generally speaking, it is suitable for a few hours of sleep and is at the guesthouse level, but when I think about the price, everything is relieved. It's about ten minutes' walk from Exit 4 of the subway.

Express hotel. Close to the subway station, about 600 meters walk. It seems that there are two floors, there is no elevator to take the stairs. This room type is not very ventilated, although the air inside is not very fresh, but fortunately there is no particularly outrageous strange smell. The overall area of the room is relatively small, especially the bathroom can be topped to the front glass on the knee. But cheap price is the biggest advantage. There is a step when you enter the door and almost fell. You need to pay special attention to going to the toilet in the middle of the night. It is recommended to warn on the edge of the red and white reflective tape on the whole point.

The hotel here is super close to Hongqiao Railway Station and Hongqiao Airport. It is so close that when I took a taxi from Hongqiao Airport, the driver made me angry all the way. I was unhappy. When I arrived at the hotel, the guy at the front desk warmly gave me various advice. As a reminder, and seeing that I was bringing an elderly person, he took the initiative to upgrade me to a business king room for free. When I entered the room, I felt very clean and tidy. The hot water was very touching. Many of the facilities in the room were intelligent and very convenient. The door was close to Metro Line 2 is very close. Although it is on the roadside, it is not noisy at night when sleeping. I renewed my subscription decisively.

The third time staying here. It's next to the airport. Songhong Road subway station is 1 stop away from Terminal 2 and the train station. It's very convenient. This time I was given an upgrade. Although the operation of the app is a bit cumbersome, I am still very grateful.

I booked a short stay to check it out as an option for a longer future stay. Stayed in a 1 bedroom Deluxe unit.
Service - only problem was check-in : I arrived late, ~10pm, and there was no-one at the desk. No use calling, because the phone at the empty desk rang. After 20+ minutes, I found a paper and key card with my name. Just as I grabbed that, someone arrived.
Location: fine if coming by taxi, especially convenient for Hongqiao. Not too bad from Line 2 Metro - can walk if no luggage, or short taxi. Plenty of coffee shops nearby, small restaurants too I guess (didn't try). Not sure if there is a supermarket in walking distance, didn't ask.
Unit; very clean & spacious. The kitchen is only moderately equipped. Wifi fast & reliable. Good setup for working in the unit. Early morning noise on the construction (west?) Side of the building.
Overall - pretty good option for an extended stay, would do myself if coming back.

SSusan Ng WilliamsOur family of 9 came and checked into 4 rooms @ Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden. The location was excellent, it was very convenient to many tourist attractions. Yu garden was within a 5 min walking distance. For those who need a break from Shanghai/Chinese food, conveniently across the street was a food mall with McDonald's, Dominos, Tim's, Dairy Queen, Noodle Shops, Dumpling Shop, and many more other food options. Located inside mall was also Luo Ma grocery/convenience store. Industrial Bank was next door with 2 atms and branch opening 9-5. Hotel seemed freshly renovated, clean and modern. Hotel offered choice of pillows from buckwheat to lavender. There was free coffee, tea bags, water, cola, sparkling water in the fridge. Breakfast buffet was good, it wasn't included in our room rate but somehow we weren't charged additional us$10.78 for breakfast. The staff at the reception desk were efficient, check in was quick and easy. They helped me with calling 3 taxis as I was not familiar with didi car hailing app yet. Great lobby area. Excellent hotel, great location and super helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends coming to Shanghai.

AASLSEnjoyed my stay here very much. The location is very nice and about 20 minutes walk from South Sha'anxi Road metro station. Very bustling area with lots of interesting shops and large malls nearby. Room was a bit small but had everything I needed and was clean with a comfortable shower and bathroom. Staff was very nice and helpful, and could also speak some English. Overall enjoyed my stay and worth the price, and I'd stay here again next time! Thanks!!

Base from my true experiences, I booked here the night before traveling to Shanghai. Once I check out from hotel in Guangzhou, front desk lady help me called reception at Shanghai Novotel Hotel Chuansha to ask if they can pick me and my partner at Pudong Airport as they advertised for a complimentary shuttle bus.
The lady at Novotel cannot speak English so I passed to the front desk lady in Guangzhou and got to know that I have to book a shuttle bus a day ahead. I accepted this because I read info, just have hope if they could help customer with this, anyway I flew to Shanghai and went hotel by myself.
On the way to Shanghai, I still have hope that receptionist at NOVOTEL will be able to speak English. When I arrived there, I met 3 receptionists and NONE OF THEM CAN SPEAK ENGLISH. We had a tough time to communicate. I have my own language and English, also broken Chinese but we still not understand each other. I had to call a friend of mine in Taiwan to speak Chinese to them.
Again, I wanted to book a shuttle bus to Disney land for the next day and they ask me to have a Wechat app to see a detail and communicate. Since I do not have China mainland mobile number so I cannot make a Wechat work on my phone. My ********* friend still help me out with this.
At that time, another lady came, seem like she work for shuttle bus thing. I do understand that Chinese tone of voice always loud but I cannot see mercy on her face. She consisted that we still need a Wechat. One lady there said, I have to take a taxi without Wechat even though the hotel provided us a free shuttle bus to Disneyland. At this point I a little upset as there is no choice that they can call or set me a time for my travel, _ucking asked me to take a taxi. I do not mind to pay for taxi but we have never been here so we worry about other unexpected factor could happen.
Further more, I went there on my girlfriend birthday to celebrate her birthday. I decided to take it here a last minute and I asked if they could have a card written Happy Birthday to her. Only I know is ”NO CARD, NO CARD!!!! bad service mind ever, disappointed and felt give up with Novotel
Yes, I picked NOVOTEL because I really hope they provided international services. I was a member of ACCOR PLUS and experienced such good services but since I experienced here, I am a failure.
I actually have 2 more nights in Shanghai after 2nights here. I was thinking to move out all the time because me and my partner felt suffocate with a service. I do not talk to them anymore as it is useless T___T
I even tried with my broken Chinese but I cannot feel that they put an effort to serve their guesses. No bellboy, air-conditioning at public area is pretty warm.
To be honest, the place is good, bed is comfy and we tired from playing things in Disney land park so I extended to book for one more night then I do not need to rush for checking out. I went reception floor, this time a girl with glasses, seem kind and she is fluent in English help me check in for my last night here :)
Whole time staying here I kept my mouse shut because don't want to feel unpleasant anymore and I feel like the robot that delivery food downstairs is working better than human lol.
Eventually, I did tried until I can log into Wechat to found that the text were written in Chinese only. I still can travel with a hotel shuttle bus even I do not read thing on Wechat (我看不懂) 😔 I definitely won't be back here even things are good.
Hotel is providing everything we needed which is good but they should hire people who able to speak English or people who able to use translate on google and else to communicate as they open for the whole world guess. Not only Chinese on earth but also another language exists. Last thing, key of hospitality is ”SERVICE MIND”

First of all, in the first few days of our stay, Miss Vicky, the director of the guest relations department, took the initiative to contact us, added her contact information, and asked us about our check-in time, any needs, etc.! And upgraded our room type for free! The service is very considerate!
After checking in on the day of check-in, he took the initiative to introduce us to the hotel and the room, and thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits, tea and desserts for us! Welcome sign, and luggage tag with our own names...
The room facilities are all very high-end! Very clean! The service is also very good! Good looking, warm and friendly, they made us feel like home!
Breakfast can be delivered to our room, it is delicious and unique!
The gym is very large, and there are dedicated staff to provide water, towels and cut fruits!

The only things I found could've been improved or could be better with my stay we're that there was only one chair on my balcony, only one bathrobe and pair of slippers we're prepared s well. There was also a desert prepared in the room, but it was sour.

We could smell cigarette in the hallways on several occasions although it is supposed to be non smoking. No coffee in the room and a couple of teabags well hidden. Breakfast not included in the room but too expensive to get at the hotel. Nice view from the room and 2 minutes away from metro station and from pedestrian street

TTrippin’Great experience from check in to check out.. Breakfast buffet available. Great fitness, spa, and swimming pool area that all opens at 8a (late for a fitness area since we like early morning workouts). The from desk staff very organized and accommodating. Room service and other dining options throughout the day available. Perfect location to walk to the Jing’An area and even Kerry Centre. Easy pick up cabins for meituan. Will stay again if I make another appointment.

EEdwardThe rooms are spacious but need better cleaning and soundproofing. Noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms was quite disruptive. The design of the open-concept toilet is problematic; the drain system causes unpleasant odors, and the water basin is too close to the bed. Check-in was smooth, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Ms. Wang Lou, the duty manager, who was exceptionally efficient and polite, promptly resolving all our concerns. With improvements in cleanliness and soundproofing, this hotel has the potential to offer an excellent experience for its guests.

Extremely convenient. 5 mins walk from Shanghai Main Railway which made it easy for us to take trips out to Hangzhou and Wuxi.
Amenities:
Lawson and Family Mart just around the corner made it easy to get basic necessities. Being near the railway also gave us easy access to various food options even when it’s late. (highly recommend Yang’s Dumplings)
Service:
Highly satisfied with the service we received from Jius Hotel staff! We were landing in the wee hours of the morning (earlier than previously planned), hence we made a second booking so that we could catch some rest when we got to the hotel. We kindly requested if the staff could arrange it such that we could have one room for our entire stay. Not only did the staff facilitate our request, but also gave us a complimentary upgrade to 1-Room to make it happen.
Room:
Absolutely loved our stay at Jius Hotel. Room was huge and had a nice view of Suzhou River. A fun feature that we particularly enjoyed was how the room is smart configured, so you can close the blinds or off the lights entirely by voice control. And after a long day of exploring Shanghai, we always look forward to soaking in our very own jacuzzi. What really stood out for us was how comfortable the pillows are. This is the first time I have experienced such comfortable pillows over a hotel stay, so much so that we tried to ask the staff where the hotel got the pillows from.
Overall, our stay at Jius Hotel was such a pleasant and wonderful experience. And for the given hotel rate on Trip.com, it has definitely been a steal for us. Strongly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Shanghai!
