Guest UserThis is the only hotel I stay in when visiting Yangon, the staff are super friendly and the facilities are very well maintained. The spa is a must visit, the gym is small but more than enough for your needs, and the large pool is very clean. The breakfast buffet have many options, dimsum, local burmese dishes, and western dishes. They also have an out deck bar with a decent view. There is a mall right next door with more food options and a convenience store.

Guest UserI prefer Wyndham as a solo traveler but going with my partner, we decided on a bigger room and the 2 bedroom offered by Kantharyar was perfect. Dual washer and dryer saved me from hotel laundry service. Rooms are big, housekeeping came daily, checking in was quick and easy. Can't complain, service and amenities are superb. The Kantharyar come with the same amenities as Wyndham, you get the pool, small gym, and there's a shopping mall right next door.

This hotel used to be a Nikko Hotel in Japan, and it was bought and renovated by Chatrium Hotels, a luxury Thai hotel chain. The plumbing in the rooms is excellent, and the Japanese food is delicious. The caramel pudding at breakfast was fantastic, just like something from a Japanese coffee shop. For lunch, they offer afternoon tea and even a shabu-shabu set for one person. There's also a convenience store inside the hotel, and a large 1STOP supermarket conveniently located near the exit by the pool. Kandawgyi Park is very affordable for foreigners with an entrance fee of just 500 kyats, and it has many restaurants suitable for lunch. The Rakhine Mont Di at the Rakhine seafood restaurant across the street is exquisite. The hotel is located in a very safe area with many embassies, and the staff are all very courteous. It's no wonder there are so many Japanese guests.

Guest UserDuring check-in, there seemed to be a problem with the key card, which caused the check-in process to take a long time. After checking in, everything seemed normal, but eventually the key card didn't work. I don't understand why the staff didn't inform guests about the system malfunction. I couldn't access my room and had to go back to inform the staff, which meant they had to escort me to my room. The staff should have informed me from the beginning.

Guest UserThe room was clean and the view was great, and the breakfast was satisfying.
The water pressure in the shower was also excellent.
The location is a little far from the city center, but I think it is very reasonable.
I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity to come to Yangon.
The only downside was that it took a long time to check out.

Isfp-Solo TravelerEverything was good👌👌👌😍💙…The only downside was that you might feel too lazy to go out or sightsee because the hotel room was very comfortable, and it was extremely hot outside😅 —- You could just stay in your room, enjoy the view, go for a swim, or have a spa day….
The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and they even changed some of the dishes the next day. My favorite was the sauna—it was really good. I also loved the hot shower, as it didn’t turn cold even after being on for a long time😍
The massages were great, and the prices were reasonable…. The staff were very helpful and kind…. There were occasional power interruptions, but they only lasted a few seconds since the hotel’s backup power kicked in immediately…
+ Although it’s a bit far from the tourist spots, you can take a Grab—it’s affordable and the best option since it gets really hot during the day….

The staff were very accommodating and nice. When I arrived, the room was not ready yet so they upgraded my room from deluxe to premium. It was very spacious and clean. The only cons is that, considering the couple of stairs to climb up, nobody is at the front door to welcome and help the incoming guests. So, I had to carry all of my luggage up to the front desk. But overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely stay there again, especially if they will offer free room upgrades again.

Was on a Business trip in Yangon, got this Hotel recommended.
Good Location on a central Street with Bars and Eateries. A big Supermarket is just across the Street.
The Hotel is in good shape, the staff friendly and eager to be of service.
At their roof-top facilities and from the windows one has a good view to the Shwedagon Pagoda in the distance.
Will go there again. Was a worthwhile stay.

It's a true journey through time, an enchan**ent that takes you to a ship from the year 1920. Several original details, such as a clock, the minibar inside a barrel, the bluetooth speaker that imitates a record player, all the leather furniture. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it, without a doubt, it was a beautiful experience. The only point of the location is at night, as there is a night market that doesn't seem so safe and, despite being vintage, some small details lack maintenance such as the carpet in the room, for example
