MMishel91Nice clean beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Anusha is the best and her daily cleaning service was the best. Location is bit far from the main city. Has hot water but is different from the nornal shower head which is cold water and the hot shower head is ONLY hot water so you have to try run both at the same time to make it warm but its not worth it. So just quick cold shower and out.

GGuest User8.4 Day In the morning, wake up in the wonderful howl of birds, a viewing room in a mountain village near Kandy, Sri Lanka, which is clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. The owner of this house is hospitable, kind, and hardworking, capable, and tasteful. Seeing the family photos of her family, she has three children, her eldest son, who has graduated from college in Australia, the second child is a daughter, 21 years old, working as a clerk in Kangdi, and the third is a son. I'm in school. At 5:45 in the morning, through the window, I heard the rain in the mountains. The rain stopped soon, and then there was a crisp bird song, a woodpecker sound, some unknown squeak, occasional dog barking, etc. I couldn't wait to get dressed and run to the balcony. On the balcony, look out over the white Kondi city Looking back is close to the natural mountains and green trees, feel the fresh air, the stars in the distance, through the lights of the leaves.

GGuest UserI cannot love this hotel more! Sweet and personal service, best demonstrating South Asian hospitality! The room was spacious, clean and well maintained! The crew was very professional and helped me with transportation and communication! They were so happy seeing me back every night, which made me feel so welcomed! The catering there is really good and I recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast - I cannot find rotti tastier than there’s! I’ve been to so many hotels, and none has offered me such good hospitality before - the professionalism + the human touch! I really love them!

RRang_cWonderful place, Best location.This hotel is located in the heart of the walking street, convenient for walking around. You can walk to the beach with clean white sand and very clear water. This beach is free of garbage. The bed is of very good quality. The bathroom is comfortable and luxurious beyond the price paid. Breakfast it ok.Good staff and service.

AAnonymous UserIt rained on the day we checked in, but the next morning the air was fresh and the sunshine was very good. The hotel is located on a hill. We were woken up by birds and dogs in the morning. The owners are two elderly couples who prepared a sumptuous meal for us. For breakfast, we also taught us how to make homemade milk tea using the famous local Ceylon tea. It is very sweet without adding sugar, and the yogurt➕passion fruit taste is also very nice. I like it very much. If I come to Kandy again, I think I will choose to stay here again. I wish the homeowner and his family happiness and peace

GGuest UserThe Good The standout feature of The Coffee Bungalow is undoubtedly its staff, particularly Adrian, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel well cared for. The food was another highlight—delicious and thoughtfully prepared. A particularly nice touch was when they packed us a complimentary to-go lunch for our train journey out of Kandy, which was a pleasant and unexpected gesture. The Bad The lack of air conditioning was a notable downside, especially given Kandy’s humidity. While the property has a charming colonial feel, the absence of a solid door between the bedroom and bathroom was an odd design choice. Although the toilet and shower do have louvered doors, privacy is somewhat compromised. Another issue was the challenging entry system—we found ourselves locked out one night, which was frustrating and inconvenient. The Ugly Unfortunately, the biggest drawback was the ant problem. While some level of bugs is to be expected in a tropical setting, the sheer number of ants, particularly in the bathroom but also in the bedroom, was hard to ignore. It definitely impacted our overall comfort. Overall, The Coffee Bungalow has a lot of charm and some truly wonderful hospitality, but there are a few quirks and inconveniences that might not suit every traveler. If you’re prepared for a bit of rustic charm and can handle the lack of AC and privacy, the warm service and great food may make up for the downsides.

GGuest UserIt's fate that I went to Sri Lanka for the second time. I went there in October last year. It rained heavily almost every day. It happened to rain heavily when I was in Kandy. I took shelter from the rain in front of this hotel. The clerk warmly invited me to rest inside and ordered ice cream. I actually booked this hotel for the first time. The location is great and it’s right by the lake.

GGuest Userhad pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service and hospitality we received. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. The team was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation and suggesting places to visit. They recommended we attend the Tooth Relic Procession and suggested us to visit a waterfall, which turned out to be the most breathtaking waterfall I've ever seen. Their local knowledge truly enhanced our experience. When our cab dropped us off in the mid , the hotel staff immediately came to pick us up in tuk-tuk. The staff was consistently polite and accommodating, making us feel welcome and valued throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place where the staff genuinely cares about making your stay special. Thank you for the experience!

蒙蒙奇奇The owner’s own house was changed, Sri Lanka’s local tyrant, two Land Rover. At the top of the mountain, the top floor bar is really view360. The only problem is that the curtains of the roller blinds are almost shaded. Chef is super good! ! ! Chef is super good! ! ! To be honest, the room is just like that. There is not much room for it. Kandy has a good choice for one to two nights. The chef is super, Md can't help but mention it! The pool is good, but it is too cold to get into the water.
