Finally, they gave me a room facing the elevator, and the body lotion inside was empty. The sign said there was a minibar, but it was just an empty fridge. It was truly absurd! 🙃"

"What's good: The hotel is secluded, beautifully maintained grounds, a wonderful view from the top, plenty of aesthetically pleasing photo spots, and a relatively well-appointed room. What's bad: Since the hotel is located at an altitude, unfortunately, we didn't get to experience the joys of the pool (after being caught in the eye of a cyclone on the way, we would have been happy to swim and warm up in the warm water, but the water in the pool was cold; this is a major drawback given that swimming is one of the main activities/entertainments on the property). The hotel restaurant could use some training for its chefs: when you're hungry, as we were, of course, any food seems delicious, but ours, alas, was not. Our selection wasn't particularly sophisticated, but rather poorly prepared: Mushroom cappuccino, garlic prawns, chicken biriyani, two lion beers. The mushroom soup was bland, with no hint of mushrooms, the shrimp were severely overcooked, and I practically cried when I ate the chicken, even though I asked the waiter "no spicy, please." Not only was the chicken so dry it tasted more like snakeskin, but the spices burned my mouth. Perhaps we were just "lucky" with the food, but unfortunately, dinner for less than 11,000 Sri Lankan rupees wasn't impressive. Breakfast, however, was decent (omelet, beans, some meat, grilled vegetables, fruit, pastries, fruit shake, water). The staff was polite, and everyone tried their best, both at the hotel and in the restaurant. Yes, the road to the hotel isn't for the faint of heart: the road is poorly paved in places, and there's a steep switchback uphill. But if you're a seasoned hiker and even a season-long biker like us, the road to the hotel won't be too daunting. Recommendations for the hotel: We were missing a clothes dryer. For those who use the pool or get caught in heavy rain, this is a necessary item. Please provide a replacement."

"The noticeable hair on the bathroom floor was a big turn-off. The hotel's location is indeed good, but the view wasn't particularly great; our low floor was obstructed by tree branches. The furniture in the room is quite old-fashioned. Breakfast had limited variety, and the dinner buffet, which was an extra charge, was three times the price of our previous hotel but only half as good in terms of taste and selection."

"The hotel has a long history and is not far from the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The internal environment of the hotel is also good. However, the room we stayed in had a large air conditioner working on the top floor. The noise was very loud and continuous. We communicated with the front desk to no avail, and we couldn't sleep well all night. And the hotel service is also average. I ordered a meal in the restaurant and waited for 25 minutes but no food was served. I kept reminding me that there was still five minutes left for a reply, but I waited another 20 minutes. It is recommended that you do not choose this hotel. The service and facilities are poor."

"Given we were a family of four, we opted for the spacious Presidential Suite. This accommodation truly felt like a comfortable 2BHK apartment, complete with a living room, kitchen, dining area, and two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. It was remarkably clean, well-maintained, and offered ample space, making it highly recommended for families. The suite also boasted a beautiful view overlooking a distant hill. The road to this hotel is quite steep."

"This hotel is located about 10 minutes from the city center, which can be a slight inconvenience due to the uphill climb, but the location offers a certain tranquility. Although the hotel is small, it has a rooftop pool that offers wonderful views of the surrounding area, perfect for relaxing. Regarding the restaurant, we decided not to have breakfast there because the service is à la carte and we found it a bit pricey. However, the room is quite spacious and has a built-in kitchen, allowing you to prepare breakfast or a meal. Oddly, the kitchen is not equipped; there are no plates or cutlery available, which is a bit confusing. The hotel facilities are adequate and well-maintained, although the hallways leading to the elevator have several curves that make access difficult, which can be uncomfortable at times. Overall, our stay was good. However, if you're looking for nightlife or more entertainment options, you'll have to head towards the city center, as the surrounding area is only home to other hotels and little else."

"We stayed at a pleasant hotel situated on a hill. The rooms were spacious, equipped with air conditioning and a fan. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was unusable as it was not working and contained an old banana. The waiter in the restaurant was trying his best to provide good service. There was a warning about not opening the windows due to monkeys roaming around the balconies and the hotel vicinity, so guests need to be cautious."

The most impressive was the swimming pool on the roof, from which you could overlook the mountains and the valley! The bar had very high quality delicious food and also cocktails. Very nice location, very good cleanliness and an extensive breakfast buffet. We regret not having booked for longer."
