We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation. For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel. But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Cleanliness: I like to wipe everything down before using anything, and the places I wiped were quite clean. Basically, everything I went to was cleaned quite thoroughly. Environment: My room faced north; next time I'll book earlier. South-facing rooms offer distant mountain views, and mine overlooked a bamboo forest. After breakfast, we hiked up a wild mountain behind the hotel, which was quite fun! Service: The hotel has karaoke, chess, billiards, and table tennis. Although we didn't have time to play everything, the facilities were quite good! There were also umbrellas provided at the entrance, and the hotel lobby had a full range of amenities, including herbal tea. The breakfast looked quite appetizing, with a dopamine-inducing color scheme. The receptionist was also very attentive. In short, it's perfect for families or friends!

Full score experience! Take the baby and pet to punch in Moganshan Treasure B&B This time I brought my baby and two Mao children to Moganshan for a holiday. It is really important to choose the homestay! The overall cleanliness of the homestay is surprising. From the public area where you enter the door to the corners of the room, you can't see a trace of dust. The sheets and bedding are even more fresh in the sun. You don't have to worry about the baby and the dog getting dirty. The room is warm and comfortable, the wooden furniture is matched with warm lights, especially the healing feeling in the mountains, the space is spacious enough, the baby can run in it, and the dog has a place to roll, which is not cramped at all. The most intimate is the pet-friendly details of the hotel. The door is a large lawn, and dogs can run and roll freely. The surrounding scenery is also absolutely amazing. Open the window is full of bamboo forests. I wake up with birdsong in the morning. In the evening, I take my baby and dog to watch the sunset in the yard. I am comfortable enough to not want to leave. I really recommend all families with babies and pets to come here! It has been a long time since I had such a sloppy hotel breakfast - no noodles, no poached eggs, no milk coffee, no meat, and the small cakes had a strong flavor of essence. The restaurant waiter came over with the plates and said to the customer with a stern face: ”Make way.” I guess the hotel owes her wages! The other waiters won't say a word to you or even smile. Do they still have a stable job? I think few people would still be willing to choose to spend lunch here and enjoy the same treatment as the state-owned restaurants did thirty years ago.

Because I decided to visit Moganshan before the holiday, I chose this homestay by chance. The environment and sanitation are really very good. Every little detail shows the owner's careful arrangement. Even the bath products are from Shiseido. The room is also equipped with Blue Moon laundry detergent. The courtyard is very smelly, the room is very clean, and local specialties are given as a gift. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and you can also have dinner at their home. The room is also okay, and it's much cheaper than living in the mountains.

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep. However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.

I wanted to go on a spontaneous trip a long time ago, planning to relax in the mountains. I chose this homestay at random, and it was beyond my expectation. In addition to all kinds of facilities, there was even a game console in the lobby, which allowed me to recall the feeling of playing arcade games when I was a child. I like his yard the most, but it’s a pity that I didn’t come in summer, otherwise barbecue + beer would be so cool!
