This was my first time visiting Moganshan, and I booked the Shangpo B&B based on Ctrip's ratings and reviews. I was really impressed by the welcome letter, which showed the owner is cultured and thoughtful, and it immediately heightened my expectations for this 'paradise on earth'... The B&B is nestled amidst mountains and bamboo forests, with a three-story, reddish-orange Tuscan-style exterior that exudes a vintage charm. It feels incredibly exotic being surrounded by the bamboo sea and mountains. The environment here is serene and peaceful, truly a 'paradise away from the hustle and bustle' as described in the welcome letter. The room was clean and elegant, offering mountain views right from the moment you open the door. Every detail exuded a subtle luxury. My favorite part was the artwork in the common areas – several Picasso-esque paintings by Dutch artists, paired with light luxury, simple European furniture, creating a striking visual contrast between modern and vintage that sparks a unique aesthetic romance. Both the Chinese and Western meals here were incredibly delicious, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner could all be customized to guests' requests; it truly felt like everyone was a VIP. The service at the B&B was also outstanding. Coffee and mineral water were provided free of charge and unlimited throughout the day! The housekeeper was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive to every request. This is, without a doubt, the best-serviced B&B I've ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

✨Moganshan ZAN | The ideal pet-friendly mountain retreat It's a convenient drive from Shanghai. The B&B is nestled halfway up the mountain, surrounded by bamboo forests. Waking up to the sound of birdsong, far from the city's hustle and bustle, instantly gives you that perfect holiday feeling. The room was very well-maintained and clean, with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a scenic balcony, allowing you to enjoy mountain views right from your bed. The yard has a lawn where dogs can run freely, and there's a stream within walking distance – perfect for splashing around in summer! The herbal hotpot was a delightful surprise; the ingredients were fresh. There are also a few gentle cats at the property that you can pet. No need to rush around visiting attractions; just relaxing and sipping tea at the B&B is wonderfully enjoyable.

Choosing this B&B in Moganshan was a unique experience. Staying in an old Republican-era house and getting to know the charming mother and daughter owners was a rare experience. Although Huang Fu's former residence is located in a bustling city, the moment you enter the courtyard, you're instantly struck by tranquility. The ambiance and furnishings of this large courtyard are truly worth savoring, reflecting the B&B owner's artistic taste and meticulous attention to detail. You can fill your time here with so many interesting things, but life is so short. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends and bring them back for a quick chat.

I was very satisfied with the room! The lady boss was nice and kind. She also upgraded the room. The room was very large and comfortable. There was a small balcony outside the floor-to-ceiling window, with a view of the courtyard. I went to the hot springs at night. I brought my own iPad to watch TV series. Before the bath, I told the lady boss that she would provide bathrobes and slippers. It was very considerate. I forgot to bring makeup remover oil, but she still provided it! It was really nice. I will choose this B&B again when I come to Moganshan next time. Great~

Our two-day 'retreat' with my mom and grandma has come to a perfect end! A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Liu, for the thoughtful arrangements. He upgraded our rooms and every meal was delicious. The elders in my family are always so happy when they're in a natural, mountain setting. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed – we didn't have to prepare a thing. Plus, there were charging stations for our electric car, so all we had to do was relax. We'll definitely be back!

I planned a two-night, three-day trip to Moganshan, hoping to hike, enjoy the scent of osmanthus, and breathe in some fresh mountain air. For accommodation, I chose the Tianlai Zhimen Sunrise Resort Hotel. To my surprise, I received a complimentary room upgrade during the off-peak season to a room with a balcony directly overlooking Naked Castle. If you're lucky, you might even catch the sunrise, but unfortunately, it wasn't possible on foggy or rainy days. Before entering the scenic area, the customer service proactively added me on WeChat and sent detailed directions, covering everything from navigation points to the need for taxi license plate numbers. This ensured a smooth journey without any wrong turns. From my room's balcony, the castle spires and mountain mist were so close, it felt like they were right in front of me. There's also a shortcut to the Queen Restaurant on the hotel's second floor, which saved a lot of walking. While the facilities aren't brand new, the bedding was comfortable and everything was clean and hygienic. The hotel service was excellent. Getting a taxi down the mountain during the off-season can be difficult, so a hotel staff member personally drove me in their own car to the shuttle bus station on Yinshan Street.

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, and the staff are incredibly attentive. We were pleasantly surprised with a hiking goodie bag containing two bottles of Evian water, two packs of crackers, and a map. Our room was also upgraded. Before arrival, the hotel provided very detailed itinerary guidance, making our mountain ascent very smooth. The outdoor pool is spotless and offers a great experience, complete with changing rooms, lockers, and showers. While the hotel facilities show a bit of age, they are very well-maintained, and the cleanliness is excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic stay with superb value for money. My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep. However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.

⛰️ The air is fresh and cool. After a day of playing, I came to the local self-built homestay. Although the two single-family buildings are small, the small yard is exquisite and green. The room is warm and clean. The breakfast included in the room rate is there. The boss will not provide two breakfasts on the grounds of low room rates. I had to order 10 yuan for a breakfast, white porridge eggs with steamed buns, the list was refreshing. Xiao Wangwang is particularly likable.
