It was such a lovely way to experience the local food culture. The staff were truly outstanding. Everyone was incredibly kind, always smiling, and ready to help whenever we needed anything. They even gave us some local traditional snacks, which was a very thoughtful and heart-warming touch. A very special thank you to Miss Chen and Miss Shi. They were both incredibly warm, patient, and attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their kindness and care really stood out and made our stay even more memorable. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. I felt very welcomed and well taken care of. I will definitely book this hotel again for my next holiday. 🌟"

"Pleasantly surprised by the excellent value for money! The location is fantastic, right next to Pioneer Bookstore and the old street. The room was great, with a very comfortable bed and sofa. Everything was perfect, except for the lack of USB ports. The owner and staff were very polite and provided excellent, accommodating service. The common areas are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel coffee is outstanding! Highly recommend."

"I highly recommend the 7 Days Inn Weishan! The experience was fantastic! The hotel is bright and airy, and the staff are attentive and friendly. Traveling alone, I felt especially safe and secure there. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, making my stay a truly pleasant experience. Free parking is available, saving you time and money. The rooms are fully equipped with smart features, including automatic curtains and convenient smart devices. Each room has a full-length mirror, and the bathroom is clean and tidy with a separate shower and toilet. Overall, the comfort level was excellent, and the value for money is incredible. It's the perfect choice for your travels!"

"This is lovely hotel, by far the best option, in the charming town of Weishan. This is a much less touristy option than some of the more well known old towns around the Dali area, where you can escape the throngs of tourists. The hotel is beautifully designed and restored, breakfast is enjoyable, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and discrete. The staff even went out of their way and helped me find a local vendor to purchase a few copper plates that I saw in the hotel room. Thank you for a wonderful stay."
Nanzhao Chinese Siheyuan Boutique Homestay (Weishan Ancient City)
"The hotel is modeled after a Beijing courtyard house and looks great in photos. The owner said it opened this year and is completely new, seemingly renovated from the former office compound. The floors and main structure are over a decade old, and the wall paintings are probably new, so there's no smell. It's much cleaner and tidier than most B&Bs. The owner's wife personally cleans everything, taking care of every detail. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are two tea areas where you can chat and enjoy the fresh air. One neighbor mentioned staying at another B&B in the ancient city and finding it less pleasant, and they agreed. There's even a glass room upstairs for drying clothes. The hotel is very close to the Dafu Farmers Market, making it convenient for buying fruit and other things. It's a short cut to the ancient city, only about five or six minutes away. Our family of five stayed for nine nights and was very comfortable. It was a truly wonderful stay. Oh, and I highly recommend staying on the second floor for better ventilation! This place is nothing special; it's simply because the owner and his family are so kind. I appreciate this positive review! All the pictures are my own!"

I am French and I don't speak the language, I never had a problem communicating with them. Also, the room was clean and confortable. The homestay is well located. "The service was good, the staff were welcoming, and the noodles for breakfast were delicious. The only problem was the strong, persistent smell of cigarette smoke in the room, and the decor was old and a bit dated. The location is good, not far from the ancient city, bus station, and high-speed rail station—a 15-minute walk."

"I was very satisfied with my stay. It was clean and very new. My daughter liked Xiaole and the robot very much. She didn’t want to leave. They provided children’s slippers, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and bath balls, which are not found in other hotels. She will stay here again next time."

"If you have any questions during check-in, you can contact the guesthouse owner directly; they respond quite promptly. The room has disposable towels and bath towels, as well as a place to dry clothes. There's also a small potted plant. The location is near the city gate. When booking, be aware of SMS blocking; the guesthouse's phone number was blocked when I booked."

"We arrived around 11 PM, and the receptionist was very helpful in showing us the way, worried we might get lost. Our accommodation was a house in an alleyway of the old town; the courtyard was beautiful, and the house itself had a charming, antique feel. Children could play in the courtyard. Because it was an old house, the soundproofing wasn't great, but the toiletries provided were quite good. Getting up early to explore the old town was very pleasant and relaxing."

The environment is absolutely stunning 👍 The Chinese architecture is incredibly charming, and the bougainvillea throughout the garden creates a wonderful atmosphere. The views are expansive, and the blue sky paired with the ancient architecture is perfect for taking photos. It's quiet and comfortable, the service is attentive, and the overall stay was a perfect 10/10. Staying here is so relaxing and pleasant, I highly recommend it!"

The interplay of light and shadow in the courtyard, the bamboo lanterns on the walls, and the small details everywhere create an instant sense of relaxation. The most comforting element was the guesthouse's kitten—so soft and cuddly, sitting like a little ball of fluff in the sunlight, it was absolutely adorable! 🥰 The overall style is a comfortable Chinese aesthetic, with old wooden doors and windows and blue brick walls, creating a warm and tranquil atmosphere where even the air feels relaxed. The place was incredibly clean, and the service was attentive. I didn't want to leave at all while staying here. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!"
DaLi Plum Tree Homestay
"I would like to call it the most cost-effective homestay. It is next to the Nanxun Museum of the ancient city. There is a bus stop when you go out. It is also very convenient to walk to the big and small temples. It is a five-minute walk to the Nancheng Vegetable Market (personal favorite Lushan Vegetable Market). There are delicious handmade old fried dough sticks at the door. Yongjian roasted bamboo shoots, stewed meat rice noodles, etc., sleeping very quietly at night, there is almost no sound (in the city, I am used to hearing people walking, vehicle horns) really haven't slept in such a quiet place for a long time. The small courtyard is also very beautiful and clean. You can sit in the yard for a long time. There is a kitchen where you can cook by yourself. The owner of the hotel is very good. You must answer all questions and will not disturb the guests. (One night, the shoes were soaked in the rain. The next morning, Xiaowu helped me dry. Or another guest at the hotel told me, so touched)"

"It's difficult to give a proper evaluation. The room design is quite peculiar: the toilet and shower are separate partitions built inside the room, making it less than ideal for family trips. The neighbor was playing a piano in their yard until midnight. Considering it was a holiday period, the price of over 900 yuan seems extremely low value; a price of 200-300 yuan would be reasonable on weekdays."

"The room was clean and quiet! The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from Weishan Ancient City. The staff were very attentive; after check-out, they promptly called to inform us that we had left our reading glasses in the room. We are very grateful to the hotel staff! There are two inconveniences with this newly opened hotel: First, breakfast is outsourced to a roadside stall and only includes a bowl of noodles or rice noodles. Eggs are extra, which is incredibly stingy! A breakfast costing over 300 yuan a day is far too meager! The lack of hot dishes and milk is bad enough, but charging extra for eggs is probably unique to this hotel in the Jinjiang Inn chain nationwide. Second, there are about ten steps from the parking lot to the elevator, which is very difficult and inconvenient for guests with luggage (parking is not allowed in front of the hotel). A ramp should be provided for guests' convenience."
