FFaiza LeithTo escape the frenzy of Kunming ancient town, we took a 2.5 hr train ride to Weishan - an authentic, uncommercialized old town with the splendid Yuan Chuang Yi Su hotel.
The bed is super comfortable, and the window seat great for relaxing after a truly hot shower. Sanitized towels are delivered daily in sealed bags and CGTN for foreign guests is available on a huge TV!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su's owner is a Mensch. His fluency in English and passion for his adopted town enriched our China trip. He sensed my vegetarian needs and whisked me off to the local market!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su is the smartest, but the least expensive of our 28 day trip in Guangdong - Yunnan.
We relished the smart set-up, the gleaming interior and delightful neighborhood of eateries.
The hotel is truly a train-rider's dream: just 25 minute walk away from Weishan Railway station and 5 minutes from the inexpensive tourist buses that take you as far as Weibaoshan and East Lotus Village.

WwyzkaelThe homestay in the ancient city, just two steps out to the pedestrian street, it is super convenient to visit the ancient city to eat snacks. It is worth mentioning that our group arrived at 12 o'clock in the evening because of a situation on the road. The front desk lady contacted in advance to confirm the itinerary. We patiently waited for us to say that we were not in a hurry to drive safety first. We took the initiative to help us carry our luggage and solve various small problems in time. GGuest UserThe rooms are decorated in a traditional Chinese style with wooden accents. They're well-equipped with electrical outlets, making them quiet. Taxis arrive right at the door. There are several teahouses nearby, making them very convenient for relaxing. There are also many places to eat and snack nearby. The front desk lady was also very attentive and welcoming. I'd definitely stay again!

USB chargers had turbo mode.
Curtains perfectly blocked the light.
Hot shower with proper water pressure.
However, toilet was annoying. It is as loud as one on the airplane, and auto flushes as soon as you move a little bit. Otherwise it would be 5 stars for amenities too.
Service was great, and I can easily compare it to 4 stars hotels in big cities.
For a foreigner, check in took about 40 seconds, which is super fast.
Roof has a nice terrace with tables.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse boasts a superb location in the heart of Weishan County, right next to the ancient city, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The rooms are newly renovated and largely voice-controlled. The receptionist was very friendly and polite. The cleanliness was excellent, and the mattresses and pillows were new and of just the right firmness. The windows were also well-insulated with soundproof glass. The only downside was that my room faced a basketball court; I wouldn't recommend it for those who are light sleepers. Overall, it was a great guesthouse, thumbs up! I hope it continues to improve and stays on track.

îŹîŹzhaoyueI really like Donglianhua Village, which has a strong Islamic style. The owner of the inn, Pony, is super handsome and enthusiastic. He invited me to have dinner. His courtyard is clean and beautiful, and the rooms are also full of ethnic style, with small horse lanterns. The caravan culture is very authentic. I feel like I am a Ma Guotou. It is very convenient to go to Weishan Ancient City from the village. There is a minibus at the entrance of the village, which goes directly to Weishan Ancient City. The bus runs every half an hour. If you catch up with the market day, you can take the minibus. Go to Dianzhong Street or Temple Street to see the rich market. There is cattle and sheep trading. It is very interesting. It is a good place to learn more about Weishan County. The people are simple and warm. I like it very much.

ZZhangsanâŠThe room has good lighting and good hygiene. It's not far from the ancient city. The girls in the store are very friendly and helpful. They even pick you up at the high-speed rail station. There's an elevator, so you don't have to worry about not being able to carry your luggage, haha...

DdizzzyyI stayed for two days, and here are just three impressions:
1. The design aesthetics are top-notch. Those who appreciate architectural aesthetics or Aman's design style should definitely stay here. It's actually quite similar to Aman's aesthetic expression. A lot of effort has been put into restoring the mansion. There are several ancient trees in the courtyard. The landscaping is also very rustic. The old house has been rebuilt, and it's a very sophisticated way to convey light and time.
2. It's truly relaxing. Besides the bedding, the room's orientation, air circulation, and even the feng shui orientation are all carefully considered. Simply put, it ensures a good night's sleep. In the morning, there's a faint scent of plants in the air. The four different sections are named after spring, summer, autumn, and winter, creating a sense of peace. The mornings are unique and change daily, incorporating local characteristics. The food is nutritionally balanced, with a variety of protein sources including plant-based, meat-based, porridge, and vegetables. I think detail-oriented people will really appreciate it.
3. The backyard, with its peacocks, alpacas, flowers, birds, fish, and insects, is very pleasant and vibrant. It's a very lively place.

TTinglouhuangguifeiThis is the favorite hotel in the holiday with a baby. The hotel is in a good location, close to the core scenic spot of the ancient city of Lushan, and quiet. The hotel environment is very comfortable, full of art, has its own coffee bar, activity room tea room and reading corner, a large magnolia and ginkgo is planted in the courtyard, and the literary atmosphere is full. The room is clean and hygienic, smart bathroom, automatic curtains, high-end mattresses are comfortable. The service staff was warm and polite, helped us solve many problems, and even helped to book the New Year's Eve dinner in a popular restaurant, like it! Very recommended!
