"I was on a business trip to Weishan Ancient Town for a few days and was attracted to this guesthouse by the pictures on its homepage. The reality was exactly the same as the pictures – very nice and full of ancient charm! The old wooden building with its arched doorways, the small pond in the courtyard with koi, and the many potted plants in the yard all showed how carefully they've been maintained!
What impressed me most was the staff's attitude. They greeted me whenever I came or went, and even shared fruit and roasted tea – it felt as relaxed as visiting a friend's house! They also promptly helped resolve any small issues (superb!)."

"Thank you for your hospitality during my two-night stay. You were incredibly kind and helpful, both when I arrived before check-in time and when I checked in again after exploring the ancient city. The owner patiently listened to my broken Chinese and spoke slowly and clearly using short phrases, so communication was never a problem.
The cleanliness and amenities were more than sufficient for a comfortable stay. My room was near the entrance on the first floor, so I wondered if the noise of people coming and going at night might be a concern, but it wasn't a problem at all.
On the day of check-out, when I mentioned I would be leaving early in the morning, they told me to leave my room card at the counter and that the hotel entrance door would be open, so I could just leave.
However, when I left my room at 5 AM the next morning, the lights were on at the entrance and the door was clearly slightly ajar. I think they were being considerate because it was still dark. I left Weishan Ancient City with a warm feeling in my heart. Thank you very much.
I would definitely like to stay here again if I have the opportunity."

"Environment: Online reviews and comments described this as the most beautiful guesthouse in Weishan Ancient Town. The wooden structure is charming and the decorations are indeed beautiful. It's located in a great location within the ancient town.
Service: The owner was very friendly, even though I was out early and back late. On my first day, I was working late and the main door was locked, but I called the owner to open it.
Facilities: There are several tea rooms and rest areas, creating a feeling of being nestled in the mountains and by the water. The guesthouse itself has views and a courtyard. However, the bathroom's wet and dry separation wasn't very good, and the shower pressure wasn't very strong.
The convenience of being in the ancient town is great, but the downside is that the old wooden structure has poor sound insulation, and the accommodation space is cramped. The tatami room, about 30 square meters, had a large area dedicated to a tea table. With two suitcases open, it was almost impossible to move around, and people were jumping around on the bed! 😂 The room had a courtyard view, and there was a guqin (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument) area right by the window where children would play and relax, which was quite noisy. Privacy was also poor; I could only keep the curtains drawn. The seats near the entrance were often occupied by people chatting and relaxing.
Hygiene: It can't be compared to chain hotels. Small black spots and particles were found on the bath towels and bedding. There were cobwebs in the bathroom. Being close to nature, some small insects and moths are unavoidable.
Suitable for travelers who are out early and back late, and who prioritize decor and convenience."

This is hands down the most comfortable guesthouse I've ever stayed at in Weishan Ancient City!
🌿 **Regarding the Environment:** The Wabi-sabi design truly captivated me! The entire space is clean and elegant, with thoughtful touches evident everywhere. Both the common areas and the rooms are quiet and therapeutic, making it my ideal serene retreat.
👨🍳 **Regarding the Owner's Service:** I have to give the owner a huge thumbs up! Not only did they proactively offer pick-up and drop-off service, saving me the hassle of dragging my luggage around, but they also specially hand-brewed a cup of coffee for me when I left, which was both heartwarming and a pleasant surprise. Throughout my stay, they were incredibly attentive, helping me solve any issues promptly. It felt just like visiting a friend's home.
In short, both the environment and service at this guesthouse are impeccable. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Weishan! Highly recommend it to anyone who loves peace and quiet and seeks quality experiences~"

"The inn is right inside the ancient city. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the owner is warm, thoughtful and helpful!
The reason I chose this inn is that the room is very comfortable and the transportation in and out of the ancient city is very convenient! It is very close to famous attractions such as museums, and also very close to the snack street! Especially the handmade dough sticks shop is right next to it! Highly recommend! I will book this one next time I come!"

"The most satisfying accommodation on this trip. The room was very warm, the lighting was very good, and the curtains were opened and it felt very transparent. The whole is clean and refreshing, the air conditioning and hot water are strong, the bath water pressure is large, and it is especially relieved to take a hot bath after a day of playing. "The experience is really far beyond expectations! Before you check in on the same day, you will contact you to pick up and drop off. It is really intimate, and then you will find it a surprise after you check in! All kinds of disposable items are very practical and high-quality! Even plastic slippers are cleaned and disinfected and then packaged in a bag for guests to use! A friend was directly amway by this slippers! It really makes people feel full of intimate! Disposable slippers are super thick! Mineral water is taken casually in the public area! The quality of disposable toiletries is very good! The family suite is really full of surprises! It's really cool to open the projector and lie on the bed with music! It is highly recommended to stay in Yunlinju! Next time you come to Lushan and live in their home!"

The beginning of the story stems from a window, brushing Xiao Mou book when I was fascinated by the scenery outside the window, think about opening my eyes every morning and opening the curtains is such a scene, how happy it should be...
Later, I did my homework seriously, and added the boss (actually the little sister) WeChat to consult some questions, and confirmed this homestay without hesitation.
The day of check-in was simply beyond expectations. It was really the real scene as shown in the picture. The boss’s little sister was really cute and patient. The small body had a lot of energy. The luggage was not in the words. All kinds of daily necessities were available, and the daily supply was also in place. Emphasis is placed on providing disposable bath towels and slippers!
You can drink tea and coffee in the yard of the hotel. It is really suitable for urban cattle to empty... Finally, I have to emphasize that the bedding of this homestay (and blackout curtains) is the most comfortable one I sleep in during my trip to Yunnan!

GGuest UserStaying four times in a row for three consecutive years, you can see the absolute affirmation of Minyue Xiaozhu! The location is excellent, one step away from the bustling ancient city; if you don't want to be too noisy, it is also very comfortable to bask in the sun, drink tea and chat in the yard. I want to move it, there is a table tennis table on the first floor, and the whole family likes it very much. By the way, the beautiful boss and family are very friendly, and the sugar water and rice cakes on the first day of the new year are very amazing!

The hotel's Gongfei Cafe also provided a delightful cultural experience, a pleasant surprise. If time weren't limited, I would have loved to bask in the sunshine and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

FFaiza LeithTo escape the frenzy of Kunming ancient town, we took a 2.5 hr train ride to Weishan - an authentic, uncommercialized old town with the splendid Yuan Chuang Yi Su hotel.
The bed is super comfortable, and the window seat great for relaxing after a truly hot shower. Sanitized towels are delivered daily in sealed bags and CGTN for foreign guests is available on a huge TV!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su's owner is a Mensch. His fluency in English and passion for his adopted town enriched our China trip. He sensed my vegetarian needs and whisked me off to the local market!
Yuan Chuang Yi Su is the smartest, but the least expensive of our 28 day trip in Guangdong - Yunnan.
We relished the smart set-up, the gleaming interior and delightful neighborhood of eateries.
The hotel is truly a train-rider's dream: just 25 minute walk away from Weishan Railway station and 5 minutes from the inexpensive tourist buses that take you as far as Weibaoshan and East Lotus Village.

GGuest UserThe bathroom was a bit cramped. We arrived at 4:30 PM, and the duvet cover hadn't even been put on yet. On the plus side, it was clean, which at least showed they diligently change and wash the duvet covers and sheets. The hotel has a parking lot, but it was quite full due to the number of guests. Luckily, we still found an empty spot when we arrived. It's also close to the Old Town; we just walked to Sifang Street and then turned the corner into the Old Town, which was very convenient.

It is very convenient to go to Weishan Ancient City from the village. There is a minibus at the entrance of the village, which goes directly to Weishan Ancient City. The bus runs every half an hour. If you catch up with the market day, you can take the minibus. Go to Dianzhong Street or Temple Street to see the rich market. There is cattle and sheep trading. It is very interesting. The room has little to none surfaces to put your own stuff. Room had no table, I had to ask for one, and it was delivered. So at least they tried to deliver an acceptable service.
You can hear how your neighbors from all sides take shower or use toilet. Constant sound of loud running water. Sound isolation is terrible. After listening to all that for few hours, I packed my stuff and went to a nearby hotel.
Would not recommend to anyone.
