It was inconvenient to take my child to the Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, so the owner arranged for a car to pick us up and drop us off. After returning to the scenic area, we didn't want to go back to the hotel to retrieve our luggage, so after discussing it with the hotel front desk, a hotel staff member personally drove it to us. The service was truly excellent."

"The B&B is located near the Huangguoshu Scenic Area. It is a converted village on a small hill. On the way to the hotel, you can see rapeseed fields, cherry blossoms (cherry trees), and pear blossoms. The B&B is distinctive, with the stone house frame preserved. The entire area is fully equipped, so you don't have to go out to eat, drink, and rest. The service is serious."

"The room on the first floor was damp, and the air conditioning felt cold and humid. The hotel is brand new, having just opened, and offers charging stations. Breakfast was quite average; they didn't even have basic cappuccino. However, the hotel staff's service awareness is excellent. A major plus is their shuttle service to scenic spots; today, Master Rao's pick-up and drop-off service was exceptionally warm and friendly, big thanks to him! The hotel's complimentary souvenir was very creative, showing how progressive they are. Hope to get my favorite coffee next time. Keep up the good work!"
Grand New Century Resort Hotel Anshun Huangguoshu
"At the beginning of the month, my travel companion, “Peking Duck” (my child), and I explored four small cities in Guizhou – Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, and Xingyi. We thoroughly experienced the karst landscapes, caves, waterfalls, and pastoral scenery, all in a comfortably cool climate. Here's a comprehensive guide to share with everyone! ⭕️ Guizhou Geological Museum (reservations required, closed on Mondays, last admission at 4 PM): You can book a guided tour with fossil restoration activities, which is very interesting. ⭕️ Qingyun Market: A great place to eat and explore (definitely try Guiyang's Sour Soup Hotpot – the flavor is unique compared to other regions). ⭕️ Yelang Valley (watch Nuo opera, two shows daily: 12:00-12:30 PM and 3:00-3:30 PM. Kids who enjoy crafts can try plant carving). ⭕️ I personally don't recommend Zhijin Cave for families with young children or the elderly! However, Zhijin Grand Canyon is highly recommended. Enter via the elevator, and the entire route is a downhill walk, making it very lazy-friendly. The scenic beauty is truly impressive and worth a visit! ⭕️ Guizhou Guanling National Fossil Group Geological Park (the fossil digging area is open, but the museum area will open in late July). ⭕️ Huangguoshu Waterfall (‼️ Water Curtain Cave requires reservations and raincoats are a must!). For a lazy-friendly approach: take the round-trip elevator and capture a panoramic shot from above. If you're not up for a lot of walking, you can skip Tianxing Bridge; seeing the main waterfall is breathtaking enough! And a shout-out to the park staff – every restroom is spotless, some even have toilet seat covers! ⭕️ Fenglin Buyi (consider going in the evening when the lights are on – the scenery is even more beautiful. You can experience Buyi culture, songs and dances, iron flower performances, and other unique shows. There are many fun NPC mini-games in the scenic area. Watching the iron flower show from a boat offers a more direct and spectacular view). ⭕️ Kids will absolutely love a full day at Wanfenglin! Fishing, mini-train rides, woodworking, tie-dyeing, fruit picking, making Ciba (sticky rice cakes), and so much more – they'll never want to leave! When they get tired, relaxing at a popular cafe is pure bliss! ⭕️ Maling River Canyon (known as 'the most beautiful scar on Earth.' The scenic area closes at 5:30 PM. For an aerial view, navigate to 'Maling River Canyon Parking Lot 2'). Tips: ‼️ Guizhou attractions can be physically demanding. If you're traveling with children and have limited stamina, opt for lazy-friendly routes. ‼️ Mornings and evenings are cool, but it can be quite sunny during other times, so bring plenty of sunscreen and mosquito repellent. ‼️ Some attractions require advance reservations, so plan your itinerary accordingly! ‼️ Bring raincoats for Maling River and Huangguoshu, and wear non-slip shoes. ‼️ For Zhijin Cave, avoid wearing long pants or white shoes as it can get muddy! The cave temperature is around 10 degrees Celsius, so bring a jacket. Among the hotels we stayed at, 'Peking Duck' loved the Huangguoshu Kaiyuan Manju Hotel the most. It offers many parent-child activities, new facilities, and delicious dining! We enjoyed a cool summer with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius throughout our trip, without any high-intensity rushing. We experienced city life, majestic gorges and waterfalls, underground marvels, pastoral peak forests, and ethnic minority customs all at once. The best classroom is always on the road; what you see with your own eyes is far more memorable than what you read in books. It’s time to get out there with the kids!"

"How I wish there were more than five stars to give this hotel. The room was spacious, spotless, and offered a beautiful mountain views; but what truly stole our hearts were the people. The staff weren't just friendly; they were genuinely kind and warm-hearted. They helped us buy bus tickets for our next stop, not once, but twice drove us to the station, first to purchase the tickets, then again to catch the bus. And just because they cared, they even took us to a scenic area nearby. No request felt too small, no gesture too big. This place isn't just a stay; it's a memory of human kindness. I can't recommend it enough."

"This is a newly opened guesthouse near Huangguoshu Waterfall. Traveling with a child, I immediately booked the slide-themed room after seeing it online. The owner was very thoughtful, contacting me in advance to confirm my check-in time and reserving a parking spot. It's super convenient, about a ten-minute walk to the second ticket office. The environment is lovely, and there's a small pool on the ground floor where kids can splash around. They also have a mahjong room. Breakfast was simple, just noodles and buns, but the noodles were exceptionally good. Since it just opened, we encountered a minor issue during our stay, but they quickly moved us to another room as a temporary solution. The overall environment is really nice, but most importantly, my child had an absolute blast and didn't want to leave! Highly recommend for families traveling with kids."

"I booked this place based on reviews praising the delicious breakfast and friendly owner, but I was completely disappointed! The seating was limited and the space was tiny, not to mention the limited selection. In the end, I had to eat pickled radish noodles! The milk was just powdered milk, incredibly diluted! This was truly the worst place I stayed during my entire trip!!! Now, let's talk about the room. There was no window—maybe I didn't notice when I booked—but even worse, the soundproofing was absolutely terrible!!! Absolutely no soundproofing at all!!! I slept terribly!!! I booked two nights; it was torture!!! Finally, the most frustrating thing was that we went to Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area in the morning and then came back to rest, planning to go back in later in the afternoon. So we rested in the hotel for lunch and the afternoon. Before we came back, the hotel called to ask if we needed the room cleaned, and I said yes. After we finished lunch, we came back and saw that it was already cleaned, so we went to sleep. But while we were sleeping, the door opened and they said they wanted to come in and clean. I said I wasn't dressed and was resting, but they still wouldn't close the door! I yelled at them to close the door before they finally did! I was so speechless and exasperated!"

The hotel's special access channel was incredibly convenient; I got to photograph the waterfall with no one else around, which was an amazing experience. Service: Excellent, very thoughtful and attentive."

"This hotel in Huangguoshu Town offers great value for money! It seems to have been renovated in the last two years. The facilities, environment, and hygiene are all excellent. They have a laundry room with a dryer, among other amenities. The location is super convenient, just a few hundred meters ahead of the Huangguoshu Ticket Center. It's easy to get to Huangguoshu Waterfall, and there are plenty of options for dining and shopping nearby! There's even an eatery right next to the hotel, kind of like a community canteen in Chengdu, where you can get a really good set meal for just 15 yuan."

The big waterfall was an awesome experience especially since I booked the Shui Lian Dong access."
