Hotel near Shiquan Street/Pan Gate Scenic Area,Suzhou

This is a wonderful Suzhou-style garden hotel, directly connected to the Pan Gate ancient scenic area. You could easily spend half a day exploring both the hotel grounds and the scenic area, as the views are stunning both day and night. The interior is spacious and grand, with a stylish Chinese design and decor. Chinese culture, including ancient paintings and other artworks, is beautifully integrated throughout the common areas, hallways, restaurants, and guest rooms. The views from the windows are picturesque.
The hotel boasts comprehensive facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, spa, and children's play area, as well as both Chinese and Western restaurants. The property itself is vast, featuring a classic Suzhou garden with pavilions, terraces, and quaint bridges scattered throughout. Everything is meticulously maintained, clean, and bright. From the front desk to the cafe and room staff, everyone is polite, warm, and highly professional, making you feel right at home! The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection. This is my second stay here, and I highly recommend it!
Thank you to the hotel for your excellent service. I wish you continued success and many more guests!

Overall, our stay was nice. The hotel is clean, every noon they’re changing and cleaning staff in the room. Soundproof of the hotel may be not that good, but for me it was okay. The hotel is in 5 minutes reach to the subway. The location is pretty good, a lot of restaurants and shops nearby.
The minuses for me were: no toilet brush, bedside table on only one side. And although it is indicated that the room is designed for 2 people, there was only 1 chair at the table. There is also no phone to contact the reception. And there is no closet also, so it’s not convenient to store things.

The toilet paper quality was really bad. Maybe it's designed not to clog, but it felt like it disintegrated as soon as you touched it, which was unpleasant.
The afternoon tea snacks delivered to Building 18 seemed like they'd been sitting out for a long time; the oil had already soaked through to the cardboard.
Of course, the overall environment of the Yingbin Hotel is top-notch. Qu Yuan Teahouse is right by Slender West Lake, so if you check in in the afternoon, you can drop off your luggage and then explore a bit.
Remember to book ahead for the landscape restaurant in Building 8. For late risers, the 1:30 PM second seating for lunch might be an option to snag a spot. Personally, I didn't find it particularly amazing; some of the popular restaurants near Hongqiao Fang are better for a memorable meal.

This was my second time staying here, and it was great! I stayed for several days, and the service was excellent. The front desk staff were particularly helpful. The environment and hygiene were both very good. Even though it's in a scenic area, it was surprisingly quiet, and getting to other places was very convenient.

The hotel hasn't been open for long, and the service is excellent. They even have self-service laundry machines, and the front desk offers complimentary snacks. I wasn't disappointed at all! It's located near Guanqian Street with plenty of local snacks, and it's also very close to the subway station and Suzhou Station. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Suzhou. Li's service was particularly good, always ready to answer any questions. Thumbs up!

✅ Absolutely fantastic! This stay truly exceeded my expectations! Since we were traveling with a child, the hotel not only provided warm and attentive service throughout, catering to our every need, but also proactively upgraded our room for free. Every detail showed such thoughtfulness and care. From check-in to room service, every staff member was incredibly kind, friendly, gentle, and patient. We truly felt valued. The room was clean and comfortable, the environment was quiet, and we felt completely at ease staying with our little one. I genuinely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with children or for a family trip. The value for money and service are both top-notch. I'll definitely choose this place first again next time!

The room was clean and tidy. Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded my room to a quieter one, which was a nice touch. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Qilishantang Scenic Area, just a short walk across Nanxin Road. This is great because you avoid the traffic congestion around the scenic area, and it's easy to catch a taxi to other attractions. The Line 1 Yangyulu station is also nearby. During my stay in Suzhou, I went out exploring every afternoon, enjoying the night tours of Humble Administrator's Garden, Shantang, and Tiger Hill. I usually returned to the hotel after 9 PM, mostly by taking Line 6 and transferring to Line 1. The hotel is surrounded by many local restaurants, like Guan Zhenxing's Aozao noodles and Xiaoyuanlou's hand-peeled shrimp – both were delicious. If I come back to Suzhou, I would definitely choose Andu Hotel again.

Towards the end of my holiday, I chose the tallest hotel in Nanjing. The hotel provided a room on the 67th floor with a view of Xuanwu Lake and Zijin Mountain. The most striking feature inside was the large circular bathtub.
Before this, I had already traveled to Shanghai during my third year of junior high school, dealing with work all the way, and was quite tired. For dinner and breakfast, I opted to dine at the hotel. Dinner was at the Summit restaurant on the 76th-77th floors, mainly featuring Huaiyang and fusion cuisine. It wasn't as salty as typical Nanjing dishes, and the cold dish with scampi was a highlight. The restaurant's main hall faces south towards Xinjiekou. Breakfast was at the coffee bar on the 45th floor, available from 9 AM to 7 PM. You could access the observation deck with your room card, which offered views to the north: Zijin Mountain, Jiming Temple, Xuanwu Lake, and the TV tower. The duck blood vermicelli soup and baked flatbread were very Nanjing in the breakfast spread, and the rest was typical InterContinental – very rich and varied. My only minor gripe was that the fruit station didn't have the cucumber sticks and juice often found at the Shanghai InterContinental; I had to get a bowl of cucumber slices from the salad bar.
I visited the independently operated heated pool and gym after dinner, but it was quite crowded due to Chinese New Year, so it wasn't particularly enjoyable. I then explored the mall next door, which was pretty much as described by Nanjing local media. The only new development is that Sunrise Duty Free is setting up shop on the first floor and is currently under renovation.
In a nutshell, my review of the hotel is: Majestic and awe-inspiring!
Facilities: Everything you could need.
Hygiene: Clean and tidy.
Environment: A unique experience. Even with a strong gale outside at night, there was no howling sound once the ventilation windows were sealed. However, before 9 PM, you could hear outdoor loudspeakers from the nearby park or square, which was unavoidable – the entire city acts like a giant amplifier.
Service: Warm and thoughtful, with appropriate boundaries, which I personally find more important.

It's really great to find such a high-value hotel in this location. The lovely lady at the front desk was so thoughtful; seeing that we had a child, she upgraded us to a family room for free. Although the decor is a bit old, the room is very spacious, cozy, and clean. A special thanks to the kind front desk staff – we'll definitely stay at your hotel again next time we visit Nanjing!

XXavierasyI booked a suite for 2 nights at the Courtyard by Marriott the night before I came from Xi'an because I wanted to visit Niushoushan, Jinling Xiaocheng, and other tourist spots nearby.
The location of the Courtyard is actually not bad; it's right beside the Hedingqiao metro station, and many food booths and convenience stores are just downstairs. You can buy takeaway at any time. The reception staff is nice and helpful and can speak very good English, no doubt.
The worst was the concierge. One of the concierge staff has been playing on his cellphone every single moment. I took Didi or the metro at least 4 or 5 times every day. Every time I pass through the entrance, he is playing on his phone.
The most frustrating part was when I ordered takeaway through the app. The delivery man said he placed it on the concierge cart right next to that guy, but someone took my package, and he didn't notice. YEAH, How could he possibly know if he was preoccupied with his phone ?!
NNicolefuguixianrenThe owner decorated the small yard beautifully. It is very comfortable to sit on the swing in the evening in this season. It is a kind of enjoyment.
DDingjinmaiLocated on Pingjiang Road Pedestrian Street, it's bustling with tourists in the evenings, making it convenient for sightseeing and listening to storytelling. There's a subway station and a snack street nearby. In the early morning, Pingjiang Road is very quiet, and you can enjoy the beautiful morning scenery just by opening your window. Lion Grove Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all nearby, making transportation incredibly convenient.
LlwkengWe booked the family room with 2 king bed room for our whole trip in Nanjing and the hotel truly is not disappointing.
The hotel is very clean and close to the Laomendong attractions. All are within walking distance. Nearby attractions are also a lot and easily reachable in short distant. Food and restaurant is not a problem.
The room has all the amenities and most importantly free laundry service is available which is important for my family travel for longer days as we do not need to bring a lot of clothes.
The owner is friendly and provided suggestions to our places to visit as well. Breakfast is inclusive. Even though simple, good enough to start for the day without needing to look for food before going out.
Overall a good and pleasant experience with our stay.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to various attractions like Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road, and also conveniently close to the subway station. The front desk staff, especially one young man, was very enthusiastic and helped with our luggage. They also thoughtfully provided tips for dining, entertainment, and local travel. There's no elevator, which might be inconvenient for older guests. The shower room is a bit small, and the room facilities are a bit dated. It's lively during the day due to its roadside location but quiet at night. Overall, it's a good choice for a short 1-2 day stay. Recommended.

GGuest UserI booked Hanyuan because it is within walking distance to my folks home. And my grandma used to work at Nanjing Agricultural University, which the hotel is affiliated with. I read others’ reviews and knew it is an old facility. I did not have unrealistic expectations.
We arrived late at night. Taxi driver dropped us off at the side entrance that has numerous stairs to the door. We had lots of luggage. As we got out of the cab, we saw some staff member in the lobby looking out. Instead of coming out to help us, he walked away. My husband, myself and our seven year old all carried/dragged multiple items up the stairs to get into the hotel lobby.
We checked in and decided that we would need to add a bed for the kid. House keeping came quickly to set up the bed but was reluctant to provide pillows for the additional bed. I had to repeatedly ask before they agreed to bring an extra pillow. Don’t understand why there is such resistance to equip the additional bed with pillow- after all, we did pay for the additional bed.
Everything else was pretty good during our first three-day-stay. We then went away to visit families elsewhere for a week before coming back to this hotel.
This time, our car drove onto the ramp at the front entrance. As soon as we entered the building, lobby manager came to offer us help. He helped us deliver luggage to our room. We are very appreciative of his assistance.
We ran into some issues at the front desk this time. They asked for our passports again and took our pictures for a second time. When I mentioned that we were just here a week ago and all information was taken already, we were told that all information has been erased as we checked out. When we checked in/out the first time, we informed front desk that we were making the hotel our base camp and will be coming in and out a few times. It’s strange that they would delete our information and redo everything all over again.
Again we need to add a bed. House keeping brought a roller bed which has a stained mattress pad. I asked them to bring a clean one, they said they could not. They said they didn’t have any clean pads. They said the only option is to remove the pad and put the sheets directly on the mattress. They further suggested that since the sheet is clean, dirty pad doesn’t matter and that every mattress pad under bed sheets has urine stains. His words made my stomach turn but I was too tired to fight so they went ahead put sheets on top of the mattress pad that has a big yellow stain. Again I asked for pillows for the additional bed, they refused at first, upon my insistence, they agreed to bring pillows. They also took out a blanket from the cabinets under television and put it on the bed.
When the seven year old was ready for bed, I opened the blanket and realized it’s cover is dirty. It’s dusty and has multiple stings of hair on it. I called house keeping, a lady quickly bought over a clean duvet cover for the blanket but refused to take away the dirty one. She insisted that we keep the dirty duvet in the closet. I did not understand her rationale but there isn’t anything I can do. So that dirty duvet cover stayed in the closet.
Maybe I should not have come back to this hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel is elegantly decorated, the rooms are warm and comfortable, and the bedding is soft and clean. The service staff is enthusiastic, professional and meticulous. The food is rich and delicious, the transportation is convenient, and the overall experience exceeds expectations. I highly recommend it!
GGuest UserLocated in the Science and Technology City of Suzhou High-tech Zone, the surrounding area integrates the elements of ”technology, landscape, and humanities” and is close to an artificial lake. The environment is quiet and suitable for vacation.
The hotel is close to Taihu Avenue and has convenient transportation, but the business atmosphere in the Science and Technology City area is relatively quiet, and you need to travel a short distance to nearby commercial entities.
With environmental protection, natural landscape and family-friendly facilities as its core advantages, Element Suzhou is suitable for tourists seeking a quiet vacation or a short business trip. Its kitchen configuration and parent-child services are particularly outstanding, but improvements need to be made in terms of spraying less air freshener and surrounding convenience.
CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high!
The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help!
The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning!
The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!
