The hotel's location is excellent, right above Miniso on Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making it super convenient for shopping and getting around. The room itself was spacious and very clean, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. My only real complaints are that the facilities are a bit dated, the window was fake, and the breakfast quality was just okay. Overall, it was a decent stay.

I initially booked for one night, then extended my stay for two more nights. The hotel's location is superb, with a clear view of Gulangyu Island directly across. Just a 600-meter walk behind the hotel leads you to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. It's also super close to Xiamen University and Dongdu Ferry Terminal. Definitely worth staying! A special thanks to Bella at the hotel's buffet restaurant for their thoughtful and meticulous service. Highly recommended!

Choosing the ME Hotel Fuzhou for my trip was a brilliant decision! Its location is superb, right in the heart of Fuzhou, close to Sanfang Qixiang and Wuyi Square, and Upper-Lower Hajj and Yantai City are also easily accessible. What's even better is that the Shuibu D exit of the subway is right inside the hotel, and during the recent Spring Festival, rides were even free. I encountered a few issues when checking in, but 'Xiao Mi' (a staff member) was incredibly responsive and resolved them immediately, ensuring a perfect stay afterward. Xiao Mi also continued to check in on our experience thoughtfully. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices, and the tiger-skin chicken feet, peanut soup, and 'lao hua' (a local dish) were excellent and suited both children and older guests. This stay at ME was truly wonderful!

I chose this hotel by chance and was pleasantly surprised! The Tang Dynasty style is very impressive, and the aroma throughout the hotel is quite pleasant. Complimentary bottled water is a nice touch. The smart home system is super convenient, and the curtains are very responsive – a great experience overall. For those who want to work out during their trip, there's a gym upstairs. The sky garden on the 5th floor is beautiful with lots of greenery, perfect for taking photos from the balcony. Room service is very thoughtful; they proactively helped me organize my luggage and toiletries, which truly shows attention to detail. It’s also very convenient to catch a taxi right outside. All the staff members are friendly and communication was smooth. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Stepping into the room, my eyes were immediately drawn to the tranquil scene in the courtyard. The trees were sparsely but artfully arranged, their branches silhouetted against the pale gray sky, creating a serene outline. On one side, the white wall and wooden frame acted like a natural picture frame, capturing this quietly flowing tranquility as if in a painting. Every photo I took looked like a masterpiece! Inside the room, I particularly adored the elegant tea set. The pale green teapot felt smooth and warm like jade. The complimentary jasmine tea slowly unfurled in the water, its fragrance lingering in the air. Pouring a cup, the room was filled with warm aroma and leisure, while outside, shadows danced and a gentle breeze blew. All the worldly distractions seemed to be gently cut off at that moment. A special thank you to the front desk lady who checked us in yesterday afternoon. She proactively helped my elderly parents with their luggage and escorted us to our room – it was incredibly thoughtful! I'm very satisfied and look forward to visiting again! This place is more than just an accommodation; it's an immersive haven that brings peace of mind. I'm so grateful for the meticulous attention to detail in creating such an atmosphere, making my brief stay feel like a long, refreshing breath in my memories. And a big thank you again to the front desk ladies working yesterday and this morning, who proactively helped my elderly parents with their luggage. It was incredibly warm and kind! Very satisfied, and I hope to see you again.

Located in the heart of Xiamen, the Lujiang Hotel perfectly blends charm and scenery in a way other hotels simply can't match. The recently renovated hotel boasts excellent facilities, including smart toilets and Dyson hairdryers. My favorite part was definitely the room's balcony, which offers direct views of Gulangyu Island – perfect for watching the sunrise, sunset, and the city lights come alive. At this time of year, sitting on the balcony, sipping tea, and enjoying the view is simply unbeatable! The front desk, concierge, and customer service were all excellent. Breakfast was plentiful, featuring delicacies like shark fin and bird's nest, along with local dim sum specialties. There's a little room for improvement in the restaurant service, as the staff seemed a bit disengaged. Seriously, make sure you book a room with a balcony!

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

GGuest User1949 truly feels like an idyllic retreat, far from the city's hustle and bustle, yet brimming with local charm. It's conveniently located very close to the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster (Four Dishes and One Soup). The front desk and service staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We booked a family suite with a slide, which was an absolute hit with the kids! They played all evening, and there was constant laughter – it was truly delightful and excellent value for money. We had dinner at the hotel, and it was also fantastic – the chef truly puts thought into every dish. Breakfast by the stream, listening to the gentle babbling water and enjoying the crisp morning air, offered a truly unique and wonderful experience. Simply wonderful! 👍

GGuest UserThe front desk staff were incredibly friendly; check-in and check-out were both handled efficiently and quickly. They patiently answered all our questions about local dining options, and their recommendations for restaurants were spot-on – the food was fantastic! The complimentary buffet breakfast offered a great variety of dishes, and the quality was excellent. It was incredibly satisfying to start each day with such a rich and delicious meal. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and offered excellent value for money. I would definitely choose Fengdalin Hotel again on my next visit to Putian, and I highly recommend it to anyone!

GGuest UserThe staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent. The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable. The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement. In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special. Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average.

GGuest UserThe room is great! It's very clean and safe. The hotel service is excellent; since cars can't enter the ancient city, there's a shuttle bus that picks you up right where the taxi drops you off, which is super convenient as you don't have to drag your luggage. There's also a shuttle when you check out to take you out of the ancient city. The hotel has an elevator and a beautiful small balcony. It's incredibly close to all the food and attractions of the ancient city – just step out, and a popular spot is a short walk away. Zhongshan Park is right outside, making it very relaxing. They even gave us Mochi, no need to queue, and there are also special tie-dye activities and puppet shows.

The location is truly great, with easy access via the public bus right outside. Our room was impressively spacious and very clean. A special mention must go to their staffs, who were super nice and incredibly attentive to all my requests. The breakfast offered a great variety and quality to start each day. GGuest UserLocation: The location is excellent, right in the ancient city. Zhongshan Road and West Street are just a few steps away, which is incredibly convenient. Environment: It's connected to a small courtyard belonging to local villagers. The overall environment is pretty average, but no one bothers you, and it's quite quiet. Facilities: The room is quite large, and the facilities are decent. Service: I'd like to highlight the service. It feels like the hotel is understaffed and the staff aren't very professional. Especially one young guy at the front desk, he seems very green and doesn't communicate important information to guests. For example, things like the complimentary hairpin-making experience and afternoon tea, guests have to ask about them themselves. It feels like he needs more experience and training. Breakfast was okay; it was local specialty Mianxianhu (rice noodle paste). The owner also made a complimentary hot latte, which was a nice touch. Overall, it's above average, but the service staff could be more professional.
