I used this hotel for a transit layover. I was thinking of just hanging out in the lobby, but then I got scared of the cold and booked a room.
It turned out to be incredibly good! It was clean, had a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. We also received vouchers for breakfast, which made it feel like great value for money.
Plus, our boarding gate for the next day's flight was very close, so we could stay in the room until the very last minute. It was truly a godsend for families with children.
Hotel staff are friendly, the hotel and room was clean.
The complimentary breakfast was good with bottomless coffee.
My room was clean but the shower sucked, and the plate glass shower doors were jammed and very difficult to move, also lacked an air vent.
The room didn’t have any air conditioning and the thermostat on the wall didn’t control anything!??
Good stay. Pool and hot tub were great. A few of the other amenities could use attention, though. One of the washing machines wasn’t working, and breakfast was cold. There is also an omelette station that apparently only operates when it’s not “slow season”
The service is always incredible, and the hotel location and cleanliness was top notch. Maybe just call ahead when you’re booking so you know what to expect for breakfast.
We would stay again
My fellow Rotarian and I came for the 2025 Rotary International Conference in Calgary. The stay was pleasant. Service was excellent. Room was cleaned daily which was nice returning to a tidy clean room. Coffee and tea were replenished daily which was great. I will highly recommend to friends and family. The hotel was so close to the airport. Shuttle service was provided to the airport which was convenient. I liked the lobby display ready for the 2015 Calgary Stampede from July 1st 2025 for ten days.
The hotel was very clean. Our room had a king size bed and a mini fridge and a very clean bathroom. There was a number of events with lots of teenagers and they put us in the far end and we never heard anything from anyone. We slept great . Breakfast had a ride ran of cereals, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and fruit, fruits, as well as yogurt, etc. it was as good as a busy place could Have. If need be, we would stay there again
The hotel is in a shopping center in the south of the city, surrounded by Safeway, Walmart, McDonald's is very convenient. There is also a Japanese Gardon nearby that is very good but did not go. The hotel has free parking and an indoor swimming pool. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast sausage egg bread juice yogurt milk fruit. It's good to sleep at night. Disadvantages The air conditioner is loud and affects rest.
Clean and tidy room
The breakfast was very simple, just eggs, potato chips and bread, and there was not much space. I was a little disappointed and had to eat out again.
The hair dryer stops after 2 minutes and I can’t continue blowing.
The only advantage is that it is very close to West Edmonton Mall.
We had a wonderful time at the Lake Louise Inn, and id fully recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. The restaurants were great (try the pizza) and all the staff from the Front Desk to Housekeeping were so friendly and helpful. One thing to note before you go is that they’re currently renovating the rooms, so while some have great new amenities, some are still waiting for upgrades, and this can lead to some oddities in your room. (Our king room for example had a box spring that didn’t fit the mattress, so it felt like you were sliding off the bed in your sleep.) If that’s not a problem for your trip, you couldn’t pick a better place to stay. We’ll be back for sure.

Amazing
AAnonymous UserLake Louise wasn't fully thawed in May, so my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for the last day of our Banff trip. And then the hilarious thing happened! The handsome blonde guy at the front desk was chatting happily with me during check-in, handed me my room card, and wrote down room number 178. My friend and I excitedly went to the room, only to find the card wouldn't open the door. Just then, we ran into a housekeeper in the hallway. Seeing us trying to swipe into 178, she said, 'This room is occupied; they checked in yesterday.' I replied, 'Look, he gave me this room.' The housekeeper said, 'Let me open it for you to see.' So she just opened room 178?? We saw luggage inside (out of politeness, we didn't look too closely since it was someone else's room). Later, I went to the front desk to discuss it, and they told me, 'Oh, this isn't too serious an error, we just wrote down the wrong room number for you. Your room was ready.' My reaction: ??? Is this the quality of service you provide? Also, the hotel breakfast was pretty mediocre. My overall feeling is: it's okay to stay here, but not really necessary. Staying in Banff town is much more convenient for joining trips, eating, and shopping.
AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at Irwin’s Mountain Inn for a quick winter getaway, and overall, it’s a solid choice for those who want to be in the heart of Banff without the premium price tag of the luxury resorts.
What I Loved:
The Location: You really can't beat being right on Banff Avenue. It was a quick, scenic 5-10 minute walk to the downtown core for dinner and shopping. Plus, the ski shuttle stop is just steps away, which is a massive plus in January.
The Amenities: After a cold day outside, the 8-person hot tub and dry cedar sauna were highlights. They were well-maintained and exactly what I needed to thaw out.
The Staff: From check-in to check-out, the service was genuinely warm. They were happy to provide local tips and made the process seamless.
On-site Dining: We grabbed breakfast at El Toro Restaurant inside the hotel. The food was surprisingly good—definitely a step above your standard hotel fare—and very convenient on a chilly morning.
A Few Considerations:
Noise Levels: As some other travelers have noted, the walls are a bit thin. I could occasionally hear activity in the hallways and the hum of the heating system, though it didn't ruin my sleep.
Parking: The underground parking is a great perk (especially to keep the snow off the car), but it is limited and quite tight. If you’re arriving late in the evening during peak season, you might have to hunt for a spot.
Room Vibe: The rooms are clean and functional, but they do feel a bit ”classic.” If you are looking for ultra-modern luxury, this isn't it—but for a cozy, budget-friendly mountain base, it hits the mark.
Final Verdict:
A fantastic mid-range option for winter travelers. It’s clean, cozy, and perfectly situated. I’d definitely stay here again for the convenience and the hot tub alone!
GGuest UserNot our first time staying here -but we left with a sense of frustration today!
It began when the front desk couldn’t find our reservation - twice ! (despite a phone call 2 hours prior to check in). Had to take my driver’s licence and go “somewhere to talk to someone in the back” - then he came back (after 2 or so
minutes) and “magically” the reservation had been found. Unnerving for my identification to disappear from my sight. No explanation offered.
Frustrated again at check out when the desk clerk tried to charge us for something from the snack bar in our room - we had literally left our room 2 minutes before. Couldn’t tell us what item we had “consumed” (we hadn’t consumed anything - especially at those prices!) and then when asked how they could possibly know within 2 minutes (of us leaving our room) that an item had been consumed - they became very defensive and couldn’t actually answer the question of “how do you know what to charge us for” and the response was “it’s for the report at the end of the day - no one is saying you actually took anything”. Except that’s exactly what the desk clerk said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”.
After challenging the charge we were told that no charge would be put through on the credit card.
Made to feel like we had “stolen” something when we asked for further clarification on the charge.
“No apologies or thank you for staying with us”.
Disappointing.
Side note - Service in the casino was great - including the restaurant.
GGuest UserThe bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There was a constant hum in the background that was maybe a large fan? The back door security latch was broken as well. Other than that, we enjoyed the underground parking lot and the closeness to downtown Jasper♥️

GGuest UserExceptional easy check in with Anna she is friendly and cooperative ❤️the water slide ,hot tub very nice
The breakfast is good very basic intercontinental .
The view is amazing .
GGuest UserI had a wonderful two-night stay in Banff. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well organized. After long days enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery, it was the perfect place to relax.
A special thank you to Marilyn, who provided exceptional service. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Her professionalism and kindness made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
The location is excellent, close to downtown Banff and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Banff.

TTravel KweenWe had a large family room in the basement that was conveniently located next to the spa. Our check in was super friendly and the room was large and very spacious. The kitchen was lovely with lots of special touches.
We had a few issues with the room, we booked a family room bath tub and there was no tub. Unfortunately the drain in the shower was disgusting, and the tiles were broken, we asked for another room but they had none available. We were told we could shower in the spa room. The spa wasn’t working and when we got in the shower they’d run out of shower gel.
The sofa bed isn’t suitable for anyone as it’s very uncomfortable. Our very small teenager tried to sleep on it and she felt every spring.
Despite our issues I would recommend this hotel as the location was good, staff were lovely and the breakfast was decent.
GGuest UserI stayed here for two nights and had a very pleasant experience overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, allowing me to rest well after a long day.
I would like to especially thank Marilyn, who was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. She made the check-in process smooth and was professional and welcoming. Her warm attitude really made a difference.
The location is convenient, close to Lougheed Town Centre with easy access to transit, restaurants, and shops. Overall, it was good value for the price, and I would gladly stay here again.
