Stayed here after more than 15 years. Booked the grand king bed and it was enormous. Arrived at 1pm and check in was completed in 5 minutes. Fantastic amenities with cable tv. Strong very hot shower. View of the swimming pool. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were too hard. Had a stiff neck the next day. Great food all around the hotel. Overall a wonderful stay.
This was our second stay at St Giles Hotel Southkey, and it continues to be a solid choice for a short getaway. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is definitely its location—it’s directly connected to Mid Valley Southkey, so shopping, dining, and entertainment are just a few steps away. It’s also quite accessible, only about a 15-minute drive from JB Sentral.
This time, we booked the Urban Twin Room, which comes with two single beds. The room felt quite spacious and comfortable, with enough space to move around and store our belongings without feeling cramped. The bathroom is functional and clean, though it only comes with a shower and no bathtub, which might be a downside for those who prefer soaking tubs.
Our rate included breakfast for two, and we were also given a welcome drink at L28 Café, which was a nice touch and a pleasant way to start our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself was a letdown—many of the dishes were either overcooked or undercooked, which affected the overall dining experience.
Overall, it’s a comfortable and well-located hotel, though the breakfast quality could definitely be improved.
Hello, I want to thank you, your apartment is very nice and clean, the facilities are also good and the equipment in the apartment is also complete. My family and I are very happy to stay here, the service is also very good, customer service is responsive in responding to messages, all security is friendly, there is bridge access to the mall too. There is no problem staying here. However, I may give a suggestion for the room or on the bathroom door if possible, provide a hanger to hang clothes or pants. This apartment is large with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so it is highly recommended for a staycation with family and also has a balcony with a beautiful view.
Breakfast at Oliva cafe was great. But on the 2nd morning which coincides with Xmas day, the service was not too great. Too a while to replenish food 😅 might be due to lack of staff? I don't know. The best point is the location, near (walking distance) to mid valley south key mall but not the same pricey tag to st Giles. Room is clean and functional. I like that I can control the thermostat

recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to shopping malls, restaurants, and only a short drive from the Singapore border, which makes it perfect for both leisure and quick getaways.
The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was soft and relaxing, and the view from the room was beautiful, especially at night.
One of the highlights of the hotel is the rooftop pool. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy the city view, and unwind after a long day. The facilities were well-maintained and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
Highly recommended.
Was able to check in early as room was available when I arrived. Staff is very pleasant and professional in handling enquiries.
There are 2 reception counters, one is at ground level whereas the other one is at level 7. They also provide express check out and online check out.
I was given a room at level 14. The twin room was very spacious and beds was very comfortable. The only downside was both the room and toilet door are faulty. They cannot be locked. The door ledge screw was also loose.
It took about 20mins drive from CIQ to the hotel. The hotel is connected to Paradigm mall and many shops/eateries are available.
Overall experience was good and I wouldnt mind returning to the hotel.
Facilities: Great for indoor activities, fitness, and work. Hygiene: Good, we're all looking forward to it. Environment: Good. Service: I really like the style of this small apartment, and the service is very thoughtful and attentive.

We booked the Deluxe King Plus. The bed was huge at 2.1m, and the oversized pillows were big enough for two kids and both parents. On top of that, it also had a sofa bed for two people, which is fine for kids, but adults probably would not sleep very well on it. The soundproofing was superb, and NSK Supermarket was just within walking distance.
We tried the Kanteen breakfast food, and the tom yum bee hoon is a must-try. We also loved BookXcess and went back every day. They had a promotion: buy 4 books and get 1 free, with the free one being the cheapest. Book price are relatively cheaper(alot of olden books. Location-wise, it is near Tuas, so you can take Grab, but it is not the most convenient.
Overall, 9/10. Will come back again

I had a pleasant stay at Fives Hotel Johor Bahru. The location is excellent, with easy access to shopping malls and local eateries. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, making it perfect for a short getaway. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a great value for money.

The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite the train station, making it incredibly convenient whether you're arriving by train from Kuala Lumpur or heading to Singapore. The room facilities are very good, and the view outside is quite beautiful. I thought I'd have to use a sofa bed, but to my surprise, they brought an extra bed directly. The room rate is pretty good; you save over 200 yuan if you don't opt for breakfast. There are shopping malls on both sides, and even a Huayang that Kuala Lumpur couldn't squeeze in.

AAnonymous UserMy husband and I had a pleasant stay here! We were warmly greeted by receptionist Aini if I’m not mistaken. We were extremely grateful when she gave is the early check in and birthday cake specially for my husband’s birthday.
The room was extremely comfortable and the facilities provided by the hotel was amazing. To top it all off, the breakfast spread was too good to be true haha. The concept of having the infused and sugar syrup intrigued me!

YYL_SnoopyIf you like a quiet, cosy place that give you a resort feel, then this hotel will be a good choice.
Initially booked this hotel is because wanting to try the Gem Spa, as previously I tried their other outlet which was very good. But sadly due to time constraints, we didn't manage to go the spa.
What I like about this hotel is, there is a hard rock within the hotel. So if you do not want to travel 15mins out, then you can actually chill and eat there.
The room is cosy but sadly that even I had booked the sea view, the view was not directly. I was allocated a room that faced the road and far right is the sea. But the plus point is I have a bathtub.
Overall the service is good, breakfast is average and the occupancy of the hotel is high but you do not feel crowded.
GGuest UserVisited this hotel years ago before Covid. Revisited after 7 years. No change to the overall look and feel. Feeling not too bad.
Location: Good near Bukit Indah Aeon. Difficult to come in given we now don’t drive Bus network no good. Not coming in anytime soon.
Service: Good. Counter staff allow early check in and given us high floor.
Cleanliness: Good, basic stuff provided. Nothing fancy.
Room: Lightings is dim, not enough lighting. TV channels cannot load due to poor wifi. YouTube Netflix cannot watch too. A bit disappointed.
Breakfast: OK comes with Nasi Lemak, Noodles / Porridge section. Pastries and bread.

SsakiiiiiinahMagical mornings and sunsets, will definitely stay again. The dinner set could have been better, it was clearly indicated that a main, soup, drink and dessert would be about 35rm nett, but when we enquired, they said we had to add on for the dessert. It was clearly stated but i didn't feel like arguing because the food wasn't very great so I just left.
The receptionist and everyone else was good, breakfast was okay, no other complaints aside from the above.
GGuest UserIt was very good experience as we stayed with families there. There were kids activities planned by Hotel staff. Nice pool but there is no slide or water park like thing. The location is nice as nearby there are lot of shops to buy anything you like. It’s far from
Beach but there is shuttle bus to beach so no need to worry. Beach of Desaru is not so great ok types so you are not missing a lot by not staying on the beach. Hotel rooms and spacious and clean value for money for sure.
AAdillawatiThis was my first stay at Sheraton Hotel Johor Bahru, and as someone who places a lot of value on customer service, the team genuinely exceeded my expectations. Across multiple departments, the staff consistently showed a positive attitude, thoughtful consideration, and a clear willingness to go the extra mile for guests.
During breakfast, staff regularly greeted us and checked in to see if we needed anything. Even during peak hours, another team member managed the lift flow smoothly so the lifts could be used more efficiently. I also appreciated how staff didn’t just point us in a direction—they guided and accompanied us to available tables, which made the whole experience feel warm and well-organised.
My family was especially tired after arriving late at night, and we were momentarily lost while trying to find the reception lobby on Level 5. The security guard responded to our questions with patience and grace, and that same welcoming energy continued during check-in. The guest relations officer answered my breakfast questions with such kindness and a big smile—even when I was experiencing serious brain fog (lol!).
It’s these small, consistent acts of care—paired with genuine positivity—that set this hotel apart.
I also completely understand how Sheraton Hotel Johor Bahru lives up to its reputation as a family-friendly hotel. We spotted the kiddie pool with water slides, and Mizan had an absolute blast splashing and playing there. The pool area itself felt thoughtfully planned—well laid out, with facilities that made it easy to enjoy the space while still feeling calm and relaxing.
The room delivered too, especially in comfort and cleanliness. The bed was incredibly inviting (the kind you immediately want to melt into), and the overall bedroom layout felt cozy and well designed—simple, comfortable, and easy to settle into after a long day.
One more thoughtful touch that really stood out: the hotel even had a balloonist on-site creating balloon designs for the children. Honestly—what family-friendly hotel goes the extra mile to do that? It was such a simple but brilliant idea, and you could see how much it delighted the kids. His balloons definitely made the young guests happy, and it added an extra layer of joy to the whole stay.
Unmatched customer service, family-friendly facilities, and cozy hotel rooms all in one place? Sheraton JB tops my list.

GGuest UserThis was my second time staying this hotel and I’m glad to say it was just as wonderful than my first visit. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, which made the experience feel extra special.
