Parking for the Zion shuttle: Visitor Center vs Springdale

Zion is one of the busiest national parks in the US, and parking is often the trip’s biggest stress point.

Option A: Park at Zion Canyon Visitor Center

  • If you’re trying to park inside the park near the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, arrive early. Especially during peak season and on weekends. This is the fastest connection to the Zion Canyon shuttle.

Option B: Park in Springdale

  • If the visitor center lot is full, which often is, the easiest backup is to park in Springdale and ride the Springdale shuttle to the park’s pedestrian entrance. The Town of Springdale confirms the shuttle is free and connects riders to the Zion pedestrian/bike entrance.

To connect from Springdale shuttle to Zion Canyon shuttle, get off at Zion Canyon Village/pedestrian entrance, walk across the footbridge, and then board the Zion Canyon shuttle inside the park.
