I got off at the General Hospital Station in the Military District and entered through the west gate. When I left the station, I tried to call a taxi, but a tout grabbed me and I ended up going in something like a tuk-tuk. 20 yuan for that distance is probably a rip-off. It's about 400 yen in Japanese currency, which would be about 2000 yen in a Japanese taxi, so I guess it's okay since it was fun. I think a ride is arranged within seconds at that station, and if you use Didi after leaving the station, you should be able to get there for much cheaper. Please be careful. You should definitely buy a cart inside the park. I stayed from opening to closing and saw all the pandas. Even using the cart, I walked 26,000 steps. Also, many facilities were closed, and although you can see the map on WeChat, it hardly shows which facilities are closed on any given day. You only find out when you go there that it's closed or the pandas aren't there. There are occasional snacks for sale, but the food court is located in the center (there's also a cart station there), with Chinese food on the first floor and McDonald's, KFC, and Pizza Hut on the second floor. There are many slopes, but you'll be in a hurry to see the pandas and will get out of breath, so be sure to bring water. Other visitors also love pandas and you can tell they've come to see them, and they'll try to tell you things like, "There's a baby panda sleeping in a tree over there," or "You can see it well from here," even though you can't understand their language. On the other hand, security guards are stationed everywhere, holding signs that say, "Please observe quietly," but there were quite a few people who were talking loudly the whole time, calling out the pandas' names or clapping their hands to try to get their attention. The security guards do tell them to be quiet, though. Even when watching the pandas, there are always people talking the whole time, and it's a shame to have the pandas so close up but still have to listen to their breathing and the sound of them eating bamboo ruin the experience. Those were the only downsides; otherwise, I was very satisfied to see the adorable pandas' behavior from various angles. There was a viewing restriction for Hana Hana, so I could only see her for about 2-3 minutes. Whether she's on the visitor side and easy to see depends on the situation. I was able to see her after waiting in line for about 10 minutes, so if you want to see her more, you can just line up again. The Hama family, the pandas from Wakayama, are also here, but on the day I went, I could only see Momohama. As an aside, Miao Miao, the mother of Jin Yu from Chengdu Zoo, was also there.

We visited on Monday and arrived at 8 a.m.; by 9 a.m., many of the pandas had already eaten and were inactive. We started our tour at the west entrance, as the new enclosures there offer a better chance of spotting pandas. We bought a golf cart ticket to travel around the base, and payment was only possible through WeChat.

A beautiful place, the park is stunning and huge, and you can see countless pandas. It's recommended to visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds and take advantage of the fact that the pandas are a little more active.
