"Very good hotel - nice view to see the downtown. Breakfast was great. The only thing is it’s abt 10-15 mins walk to downtown- downhill to downtown and uphill walking back to the hotel."

"Although parking was a bit inconvenient, everything else was beyond my expectations! The service was warm and attentive, the breakfast was delicious, and the house is an old Victorian style with high ceilings. The decor is also old-fashioned with an artistic touch. It was very clean and a very good experience. It's within walking distance to various attractions and shops, which is very convenient."

Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel

Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel

"Actually it is an amazing hotel, but it really needs updating as the curtains fabric was literally tearing apart. However, the location and grounds are amazing, lots of greenery, quiet and not far from the centre. We were upgraded to a better room which was really thoughtful. Like the outdoor swimming pool, even though it need updating as well. Staff is really friendly."

"Not quite as good an experience as we would have expected. When we arrived we were advised we had been upgraded to a better room, great! We were given the Grafton Room. What we were not told is that the upgraded room was on the second floor (four flights of long stairs), next to a room which was being renovated. There were tools and a ladder outside our door so we could hear banging and dull thuds from within our own room for long periods. The room was okay, no real view, it was missing a fan, so we had to go and report that and there was a down light hanging out from the shower area with an exposed wire, not exactly safe! This hotel is not cheap and so we feel it was not worth what we paid."

Grays Boutique B&B Hotels in Bath

Grays Boutique B&B

"The most comfortable time I have lived in the UK these days. The executive twin room is much larger than the hotel room in London, and slippers are also provided. The five-star hotels in London rarely provide slippers. The staff is also warm and funny. There are not many parking spaces. First come first served, So if you drive, it is best to check in early. Breakfast is a buffet + main hot dishes to choose from. The overall experience is very good. The five-star homestay is undisputed and awesome!"

The Roseate Villa Bath Hotels in Bath

The Roseate Villa Bath

"What a little gem! Set in a quite area, but only a couple of hundred yards to the city centre. The staff are very polite and attentive. The breakfast is worth staying for alone, I like the fact it comes with linen napkins, and that just typifies the standards at this hotel. Its great value for what it offers."

Lansdown Grove Hotel ★★★★
"Overall, our trip was just perfect. The hotel is in an excellent location with ample parking. At only £15 per 24 hours, we found this great value. The hotel is on a hill, but the buses run frequently directly outside the hotel. Our room was large and clean with everything you could need. The breakfast was fantastic and so much choice. It certainly set us up for the day. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again."

"The room is actually nice and quite big. There is a living room and a bedroom. Our room faces north, facing the big tree and the house on the mountain in the distance. Both windows can be opened. There are no gauze curtains, only curtains, but the house opposite is not facing is actually okay. The bathroom is very clean, with typical German-style bathroom facilities, wall-mounted toilets, beige tiles, large bathtubs and showers, and a hot towel rack for plumbing. Simple and practical. Facilities: There is no refrigerator in the room, so there is a pantry on the second floor, which has a refrigerator and some free soda, milk, popcorn, and fruit. Two bottles of mineral water are given in the room. After drinking, you can go to the pantry's filtered water facility to fill new ones. Hygiene: The sanitation is okay, at least the bathroom is cleaned very clean. I saw that the bed was made when I came back at night, but they didn't help fold the clothes, which is different from Asian hotels. Service: The hotel bar is very good, a pot of tea is only 4 pounds, and the breakfast is also delicious, so you don't have to go out for breakfast. The service staff are also very enthusiastic. The location is very good, it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the station. Bath itself is very small, so it is close to everything. Overall, it is a good choice to stay in Bath, at least this hotel does not require climbing a slope. 😂"

The Z Hotel Bath ★★★
"This hotel in Bath offers excellent value for money. It's just a few minutes' walk from Bath's main street, making it a very central location. Being so close to the main street means easy access to all sorts of restaurants, supermarkets, and Bath's main attractions (the Abbey, Roman Baths, River Avon) – all within walking distance. The main draw is definitely the affordable price, which really makes it great value. The room was a bit small, but it had all the necessary amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend!"

"The bed was comfortable and amazing. Although the carpet could be renewed. And all the furniture to either be old antique or 21st century, not 1 million years old that makes your room look a bit untidy the bathroom was great"

Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel ★★★★★
"Sold as a 5 star hotel and although it did look good from the outside, the inside was very dated and lacking tlc.the bathroom had what looked like black mould around the wall furniture and the sink had been covered in a wrap which was torn and some of the metal fixtures where corroded.the breakfast took over an hour as they seemed to take precedents over vips in the dining room who got food very quickly.from sitting down to receiving our breakfast took an hour both days.the staff where very apologetic but that does t make up for poor service and the quality was average. The Spa was also dated and the Gym was small with very little in it for a proper workout."

"It was fantastic! The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. It even had a terrace with beautiful views and a wide view. The area was very quiet. The front desk was warm and attentive, and the staff were very nice. It's been a while since I've stayed in such a good, affordable hotel."

Travelodge Bath Central ★★
"Absolutely shocking do not waste your time and money staying here. We stayed for two nights and had many issues. The whole hotel from the stairwell to the rooms is filthy, we stayed for two nights so saw it over three days and no cleaning or maintenance was done. We had to change rooms, both ended up being as bad as each other. The shower gel holder was empty and broken. The kettle dirty inside and out. The bed linen was dirty and stained. The hotel lift was broken. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling over the bed. Old dental floss on the floor and sideboard. Coffee stairs on the desk. Long hairs on every surface around the room. Spent far too long up and down to reception to try and deal with things and they were extremely un interested. It gave me no confidence to stay with Travel lodge ever again and I was really advise everyone else to think the same. Still trying to resolve the issue with Travel Lodge as they just want to give you vouchers to stay with them again which I couldn’t think of anything worse. Definitely avoid!"
