"This hotel is part of a chain, so you can count on the quality being consistent across the board. Its prime location in the heart of the old town makes it incredibly convenient for walking to the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and the River Avon. Despite early May not being peak season, the hotel was quite popular with a high occupancy rate. Breakfast is served on the ground floor in the lobby, and while it can get very busy during peak hours, it's always well-organized. They offer a full English breakfast with all the usual trimmings. The rooms aren't small, but trying to open and lay flat two 28-inch suitcases might feel a bit cramped. We booked two twin rooms and one double room, staying for two nights, and found all the services to be excellent – clean, tidy, and quiet."

"We stayed with our 2 daughters. The room was clean. The floor was a bit old but overall clean. The room was a cute size. The staff was very good. Everyone was smiling and cheerful. They recommended places to visit and restaurants. The service was very good. If I have a chance, I will definitely go back to stay again."

"The waiting area for check-in is very British and beautiful. We booked a classic room, which requires us to walk through the main building, pass the garden, and come to the second floor of a stable. The room is clean and the toilet is relatively large. But the location is a bit disappointing. The high price and high positioning of the hotel make us automatically assume that the view of the room will be particularly good, overlooking the city of Bath. The actual situation is disappointing. Looking out is the street view on the other side, and I dare not open the window. The pure British white old man helps you carry the luggage, making you feel embarrassed not to tip. The restaurant is very delicious, and the cauliflower is especially delicious. In this place, you have to keep communicating and making requests. They can do better."

"Small luxury hotel I feel relieved to see that it is SLH, but it is unusually understaffed. From check-in to dining in the restaurant, you have to wait, wait, wait. If you don’t understand English, please don’t come. Most of the employees look like college students who work part-time and cannot solve the problem alone. question. The restaurant and bar are good, the room is very big, you need to take the stairs to the first floor, and the bathroom is half a floor up. The swimming pool is small and there are many people. There is a sauna, but it was useless because the temperature was 30 degrees on the day of arrival. Charging the tram is also very funny. It took a long time to fully charge it."

"This is a charming historic mansion with great character; while the facilities are a bit dated, the exterior and outdoor scenery are super nice. Free parking makes it perfect for those driving, it is only a short drive from the Bath city center. The traditional-style hotel bar was quiet and moody, it stays open until 11pm, allowing us to enjoy a drink even after arriving late from dinner. The room size was decent and the heating worked well; the bathroom featured a bathtub though it took some time for the hot water to start flowing properly. Unfortunately, a false fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, which disrupted our sleep, but since we were only staying for one night and checking out early, I didn't raise the issue. It was a classic "old hotel" experience as expected, and the exceptionally warm and friendly attitude of the front desk staff made up for the hiccups, though my expectations might be higher if I were staying for a longer period."

"The room is in need of general updating, the window needs a good scrub, and the squeaky floorboards...However, the room layout is perfect for three proper single beds as we had wished for, and it is clean and well equipped. Tim at the Reception Desk is the perfect reason to stay at Royal Hotel! Of course the lady who cleaned the rooms is exceptionally responsive and caring. Makes the wet 2-day Bath experience so 'sunny' to us! Thank you Royal Hotel!"

"This hotel is truly unique, housed in a beautiful Georgian-era building. Behind it, there's a large green park, and at the end of the street, you'll find a museum that was once a filming location for a popular BBC show. It also backs onto Sydney Gardens, which is steeped in Bath's history. Getting to any attraction in the city from the hotel is incredibly convenient."
