"Good, clean, simple hotel with a clean swimming pool. The hotel is located right on the beach and next to a busy shopping street. The rooms are very spacious, clean, but a bit dated. The staff are generally very friendly. A downside was that upon check-out, I was immediately asked about items like an umbrella that my children had used and had to pay for a coffee spoon that was apparently missing from the coffee cup in my room."

"Great location, beautiful views, perfect for a relaxing getaway in Railay. I stayed at Sand Sea Resort, Railay Beach, Krabi, from July 28-30, 2026. Overall, it was a good and impressive experience. The biggest highlight is the resort's location right on Railay Beach, making it convenient to get to the beach and other attractions. The surroundings of the accommodation are lush, peaceful, and offer beautiful natural views, truly ideal for relaxation. The room was clean, the atmosphere within the resort was pleasant, and there were areas to walk around and unwind. The staff provided polite service. Overall, it's an accommodation that meets the needs of those looking to experience the nature, sea, and tranquility of Railay Beach. I was particularly impressed with the location and views. I would return if I have the chance and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good atmosphere accommodation in Railay, Krabi."

"Booked the cheapest room, but got a free upgrade upon arrival. Also they allowed me to check-in earlier, which was very nice. The house I stayed in was very clean, no bugs at all. Some things to keep in mind: - the resort is quite big, so if you end up staying in farther houses, you’ll need to walk to the restaurant and Viking beach for around 5 minutes. The pathways are kinda steep, so it can be inconvenient for elderly and kids or at night; - the walk from the pier to the resort takes around 25 minutes. The views along the way are spectacular. The pathway is manageable even if you wear flip-flops, but I don’t think you should try it if your group has an elder or a kid. I’ll attach some photos of the path for reference; - there’s a lot of cats! Sadly I didn’t have any cat food with me. So if you have a chance, bring cat food! 😁 - you can actually walk to the Long Beach, it will take 5 minutes or so. But the path is not for a weak… You need to hold ropes to climb or to get down. The last photo is the part of that path."

"I specifically came to Koh Phi Phi this time to experience the slow-paced island life of the locals, and I absolutely fell in love with this island! The little cats wandering everywhere on the streets were well-behaved and friendly, letting you pet them without fear. We randomly found a local travel agency and booked a pirate ship tour for 1800 Thai Baht, which was an amazing experience! We boarded at 12 PM and returned at 7 PM. This route only caters to island residents, so you don't have to deal with the large crowds from Phuket, making the experience completely different and much more comfortable. Compared to the bustling and noisy Phuket, Koh Phi Phi's overall atmosphere is much more relaxed. Instead of just recommending this hotel, I'd suggest that anyone visiting Phuket should definitely spend a night on Koh Phi Phi! The quality of hotels on the island doesn't vary much; generally, you get what you pay for. Accommodation is just a temporary stop; the true joy of Koh Phi Phi is never about the hotel itself. If you prefer a quiet, relaxing, and crowd-free vacation, then the northern part of Koh Phi Phi is highly recommended! The entire area is filled with high-end luxury hotels, most of which have private beaches, offering excellent privacy. Our stay this time was around Tonsai Pier, which is the most popular and lively core area of the island. You can choose between these two different vacation vibes according to your preference."

"Visited in peak season (January) and it was incredibly crowded. All rooms were booked, and Railay Beach was packed like sardines. The facilities are definitely 4-star. I tried both the private bungalow, which was about 300+ baht more, and the basic double room. The independent private bungalow offered a much better bathroom and a more resort-like atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend not skimping on that extra cost. The sunrise and the night view when it's less crowded at Railay Beach are still beautiful. However, I'm genuinely fed up with Southeast Asia. Even if you're willing to spend a lot, the sheer number of people everywhere makes it feel like a budget backpacker trip. Oh, and a point I haven't seen mentioned: currently, the boats from the hotel to Ao Nam Mao pier (which doesn't require wading) are very infrequent, only at times like 2 PM and 4 PM. I suggest just taking the public boats; they depart once enough people have gathered. Also, this hotel is a 4-star, and the main difference from a 5-star is the lack of service – everything is self-service. Come prepared for that. One more thing: if you want to go to Ton Sai Beach, which is next to Railay Beach, I recommend wading through the water from the beach. Just be careful. Don't take the other mountain path! That experience was really bad – the path is narrow, difficult to walk, very primitive, and unmaintained, and you'll get bitten a lot."

"Clean, nice room with beatiful view on pond, pool and mountains, comfortable bad. Green territory, two water pools, both with great views. Great breakfasts with wide choice. Bottled water provided daily, also capsule coffee machine and kettle in the room (tea bags, coffee and coffee capsules were also provided). Comfortable for those who travelling between locations (very close to Railay East Floating Pier)."

"This hotel is truly impressive; I've stayed here four times now, and whenever I visit Krabi, this is my go-to choice. It's right by the beach, offers great privacy, and is surrounded by mountains. The staff provide excellent service, and honestly, everything about this place is just fantastic."

"The hotel staffs are so friendly, kind n helpful. We got most of our help , service n advice from them. English n French spoken hotel staff, no language barrier. Hotel location is just a 100m walking distance to ao nang night market, across the road is the beach, can see sunset by the beach. Pool is great. Bfaz is beyond expectation. Good recommended. 👍🏻"

"The place was serene and absolutely beautiful. The staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make an accommodation for us. The policy does say no kids allowed at the place. Which is perfect. Unfortunately there was a child. Other than that, an absolutely amazing stay. The rooms were great! The pool was beautiful!! Nothing better than a break away at Diamond beach resort."
