Portimao Beach Hotels

This is a higher end hotel in Portimao. The room has a modern design. Huge amount of square footage, complete with a balcony. Asked for a room facing a quiet alleyway. First room was on the 5th floor, in the morning I was disturbed by housekeeping for the room above me, I can literally hear every sound. Called to change to a top floor room, after initially asking me to pay more for a top floor room, they eventually were able to secure one. Moved to that room and had mostly no issue with noise. I can still hear my next door neighbor when they move things around but not conversations. Breakfast was good, it doesn’t change much over the 3 days I’ve been there, but the spread is vast so you can always find something that ticks your fancy. Didn’t use hotel parking as it was the low season and street parking was abundant. Overall a good experience. Docked 1 star for the noise.

It's a great place to take a morning walk or a leisurely walk or jog in front of a beautiful beach. The spa is divided into time slots and requires a fee.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to Praia da Rocha. The location is convenient, but the hotel's hygiene level is average. I wonder if it is because our room is located underground. There are many flying ants and insects. Many flying ants fell from the chandelier onto our bed.

The hotel was okay to stay in but way too overpriced especially because they’re not really a five star hotel in my opinion. Simple amenities such as shampoo, bathrobes, slippers and lotion are not provided for a five star hotel. I didn’t get help from the Porter to take my bags etc. I like that it’s all inclusive and it’s so convenient to eat at the hotel however the food could have been fresher. The pools were amazing and the hotel is very close to the beach which is good. Getting around is a headache unless you hire a car, it would take me forever to get an Uber. Not the hotels fault obviously but just something to note. The hotel is so huge that the shared lift would take forever and unfortunately can’t choose which one to take as the lift chooses the floor automatically . While it was a good stay I don’t know if I would stay here again because of my expectations of an all inclusive 5star hotel. Also make sure to go watch the sunset by the beach, absolutely breathtaking.

The staff are friendly The room condition is also the best of many facilities I have ever stayed in Portiman.

Hotel is located on the marina with great views. Hotel is clean and breakfast good but hot food like warm Good for walking if you like and very close to beaches and restaurants. You have to be on main block or Marina side or you will have a long walk to your room. Service was very efficient and the buggy’s to take you around are helpful. Overall a good stay for a few days

View from the room is great and the room is fairly clean - for the price, if it’s not for the incident, I would not have anything to complain. The only downsides are the property is slightly dated and there is virtually no service in the evening. In the evening I arrived I was not told that there was no water during the day, and when I almost go into shower I realise the water were all muddy and the shower diverter is so old that it simply doesn’t work. I asked the receptionist about the water and I was then told I should just let the water flow (but he didn’t attempt to offer to come check it out or offer alternative room in the interim), and he told me he doesn’t know what to do with the diverter so I should just wait till next morning when his colleagues take over his shift from him.

The hostel is so clean and the warm water comes out well The view is so pretty It's an apartment style, so it's quite spacious with a living room. It was a very satisfying hostel It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to the beach.

Charmless building surrounded by areas under development. Dated facilities. Disappointing value for money. The only drawback is the nice beach view from the upper floors. But that's not enough to justify this choice.

Average accommodation, average conditions and not in line with the value. The service at reception was not always the best. And when you go there with the intention of resting, the noise of ”construction work” at 8 am on a Sunday is not appropriate. And access to the room almost requires a GPS. Good breakfast, with variety and friendliness.
