The customer service lady was quite nice, but I do have some issues with the guesthouse:
1. Check-in time was 2 PM, but when we arrived, the room wasn't ready yet. We had to wait another half an hour for them to finish cleaning.
2. The pillows on the bed were too flat, and the bed itself was too soft, making it uncomfortable.
3. And this is the most important point: there's no need to stay overnight in this Chestnut Village. It's tiny, and even the 'mini waterfall stream' is artificial 😂. You can finish exploring and taking pictures in just an afternoon.
Also, food is very expensive here; an ice cream costs 68. Although the restaurant is a bit pricey, the food itself is actually quite good.
4. There are a lot of people with dogs, and they tend to pee all over the restaurant. There's really no point in bringing kids here, as there are practically no facilities for children.

The location offers unbeatable views, right by Yanqi Lake. The scenery is beautiful, and transportation is very convenient. Overall, the hotel is quite good and perfect for a weekend getaway with family and kids. However, Yanqi Lake Park is currently undergoing renovation and is closed, but the section of the lake in front of the hotel is open, and you can rent electric boats or kayaks.

The room was a bit dated. While the staff were quick to verbally acknowledge requests, actually getting items delivered was very slow, and they often forgot altogether.
Initially, the room I entered had an odor. I went downstairs, and the front desk smoothly switched me to a new room that didn't smell.
However, that night I discovered the duvet cover was dirty... I called a staff member who said there were no new duvets available, so they could only change the duvet cover.
On the second morning, I asked for a disposable bathtub liner. It wasn't delivered all morning... When I asked the front desk, they said they were too busy and even questioned why I didn't call multiple times to ask. Apparently, it was my fault for not hounding them enough.

Staying here while driving, the hotel's parking is very convenient. Just remember to grab a parking ticket each time you leave to get free parking. The service is great, and bottled water is replenished promptly.

This was my first time staying at Qihu Hotel for a family leisure trip, and I'm 8 months pregnant. The hotel rooms and environment were excellent, providing a great experience. However, the service was quite subpar, and for a holiday price of 1800, the value for money was extremely low. The service attitude simply doesn't match a five-star price tag.
1. The front desk staff's service attitude and professionalism need improvement. We arrived at the hotel at 3:20 PM on May 4th, expecting to check in directly. However, the check-in line was long, with each family taking at least 7-8 minutes to process. After waiting for over 20 minutes, it was finally my turn. I understood that the previous check-in might not have been fully completed, so I walked up to the female staff member, but she didn't even lift her head, still busy with her tasks and on the phone. I awkwardly waited for about a minute. Seeing that the male staff member next to her had finished with his previous guest, I moved to his counter. To my surprise, neither of the front desk staff greeted us, let alone offered a smile. During check-in, the male staff member told me the room wasn't ready yet (it was already 3:45 PM) and asked me to return in 40 minutes. I silently accepted and walked around the hotel. As a pregnant woman, I couldn't walk for too long, so I returned to the front desk after half an hour. A different long-haired male staff member then told me my room still wasn't ready and asked if I'd be okay with a twin room (I've heard of room upgrades, but never downgrades! If I wanted a twin room, wouldn't I have booked one from the start? Didn't he see I was 8 months pregnant? Couldn't they prioritize cleaning a lake-view king room for a pregnant guest? Neither the front desk staff nor the manager offered a satisfactory solution to the guest! The hotel's check-in time is quite 'international' – I've never encountered a hotel that makes you wait past 3 PM for check-in. I suggest the hotel general manager review the front desk reception department. If they operate with 5 PM check-in and 2 PM check-out, it will certainly be a vicious cycle, and rooms definitely won't be ready by 3 PM. However, I must thank the later front desk staff member who, after I calmly expressed my feelings, upgraded my room and allowed me to check in smoothly. Overall, my first impression of the check-in experience was very poor. The front desk staff's work experience was very immature, they lacked flexibility in problem-solving, and their emotional intelligence in communication was very low.
2. After checking in, there was a knock on the door of our room. My family member opened it, and a female staff member came in without saying a word or greeting, simply put a can of soda into the fridge and left. I wondered, hasn't the hotel trained its housekeeping staff on basic etiquette? Don't they greet guests? There was absolutely no sense of boundaries; guests had already checked in!
3. The lobby bar staff stood there without greeting anyone, showing no service awareness at all.
Overall, the service was even worse than that of a budget hotel.

The hotel has a nice concept or safari theme but somewhat under delivered. The pictures were nice but I think these are old pictures as it definitely needs upkeep or we think due for renovation and cleanliness of the surrounding needs more manpower. Pool is questionable and not inviting.
Plus side: Very close to the great wall you can literally walk about 1km away to the gate. And the nearby grocery is a cheap way to buy local gifts to bring home. However you are far from the main Beijing City as in more than 1 hour by taxi and 2 hours if you get caught in the rush hour of beijing cost which cost about US$20 one way.
The room is clean, big and decent for the price but really needs repair and I really question the security of the door as it was no secondary lock. The hot water is plenty, aircon is nice, internet is ok, soap is great.
Service: They are family run I think 3 or 4 people, they try to accommodate but unlike other hotels in China, they don't try to utilize tech to translate. I understand they are kinda old.
They don't automatically make up the room even though we stayed for 3 nights. so our garbage filed up. But we are ok with it.
They were waiting even though we arrived at 2am which we appreciated. And the iced coffee is nice.
Bad: Food maybe it is not our preferred taste. It is definitely not a buffet and we only eat once. You have alternative restaurants across the street or in the Great Wall commercial area but it is expensive.
So will we recommend it, maybe.
Yes, if you want a quiet place to unwind and want to explore the great wall for more than a day.
no, if you want to explore beijing, it is far from the city and conscious of cleanliness and upkeep.

The room facilities are complete, the front desk service is attentive, there is Wi-Fi, and it is convenient to order takeaway. The stay is very comfortable, there is a smart toilet and independent bathroom, and the surrounding environment is also good. Taking a taxi is also convenient.

Very good living experience, it should be one of the newer homestays near Yanqi Lake. The butler is very nice, the service is very intimate, and even breakfast is prepared for adults and children with different content. Very good, the facilities are very new, I will go to their home next time.

Two families chose this hotel for a weekend road trip. Perhaps because it's located in an industrial park, there aren't many amenities nearby, but there are a few decent restaurants within walking distance.
The staff at check-in were friendly and professional. Xiaolin provided detailed information about the hotel facilities and the complimentary tickets to local attractions included in our package.
The hotel's family-friendly facilities were a pleasant surprise. They have a game room, a screening room, and affordable badminton courts with equipment available. The lobby staff were also great about keeping an eye on the kids to prevent them from wandering off, which was a huge plus.
The hotel is conveniently located near Yanqi Lake, Shentangyu, Hongluo Temple, and Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area, making it a great choice for a holiday getaway.

This is my second time staying at Jiadu. I like it as always. I can see the owner's care. The layout of the room, the design of the library and the small furnishings show that the owner is a very tasteful person. I also saw the yellowed Selected Works of Mao Zedong in it. There are surprises everywhere.
This time, some small electronic devices were added to the room, and the details were still in place. The breakfast was still very delicately presented, meticulous and tasted great.
I believe I will choose this place next time I come to Huairou.

GGuest UserThe store’s service attitude is very good. From the consultation before check-in to any problems in check-in, you can communicate and solve them in time. It is very patient. The hygiene is also very clean. It is very meticulous and thoughtful in all aspects. It is the best store I have ever experienced. This experience was perfect!

GGuest UserThis time I came to Hongluo Temple alone. I have stayed in many hotels before, and I felt the professionalism, perseverance and tranquility of this hotel in a unique way. The shower head is disinfected regularly, the beds are particularly clean, the environment is very elegant, and it feels like a spiritual home. Next time I come to Hongluo Temple with my family, I will definitely stay here.
Breakfast was also very ceremonial, but I didn’t finish it. The staff was very professional, not overly enthusiastic but welcoming enough, which fully reflected the warmth and professionalism. Like 👍
Many B&Bs are just so-so, but this one is serious.

GGuest UserA highly recommended homestay! The second time I came, I was still satisfied with the full grade. Last time I lived in a separate bungalow yard, this time it was an ordinary Loft room, the overall and details were very good, clean and tidy, the TV could cast screens, and the kitchen was all available. Say the key point: There are a lot of homestays with excellent environment and facilities, but the service is so excellent, really not much! Very warm and meticulous reception, gift gifts, and fruit exchanged by members of Qunar.com. When I checked out the next day, I met the tenant of the chartered house and said that it was an old customer of the homestay. It was very nice. I took the initiative to let us store our luggage and go out to play. Have a good day, come back next time! ❤️

GGuest UserYou can always trust Jinjiang Club's hotels. I took my kids to Hongluo Temple and wanted to stay in a nearby B&B, but my kids strongly requested to stay in a hotel, saying that hotels are not bad. Lifeng is very close to the Hongluo Temple scenic area, and the price is much more affordable than B&Bs. The bed, quilt, and pillow are as comfortable as ever, and the price-performance ratio is extremely high.

GGuest UserThe room facilities are somewhat worn, but the basic hygiene is okay. Service is ok. Children prefer breakfast. It feels like there isn't much space to play in, so you can play for half a day and a night at most. Few dining options around
