The room was spotless, and the bedding felt brand new, which made me feel very comfortable and safe. The staff were super attentive and quick to respond, even upgrading our room! The best part is the location – it's just a short stroll to Panjiayuan, and there are plenty of shops nearby. Plus, being situated between the Second and Third Ring Roads means getting around is incredibly convenient. The transport links are amazing. I'll definitely be back!

I stayed at a Siheyuan (courtyard house) near Qianmen with my child and father, and it truly felt like quintessential Beijing! First off, the location is incredibly convenient. It's nestled in a hutong on Qianmen East Street, offering a quiet escape amidst the bustling city. A short walk around the corner takes you to Qianmen Pedestrian Street, and Dashilar is easily reachable on foot. Taking a taxi to Tiananmen or the Forbidden City costs just the minimum fare, which is a huge relief when traveling with elderly parents and children – no hassle at all. Secondly, the courtyard itself is absolutely charming. Stepping through the gate, you're greeted by a classic Old Beijing Siheyuan, with its grey bricks, dark tiles, and covered walkways, all centered around a large tree. In the morning, with the sun streaming into the courtyard, enjoying a bowl of congee feels incredibly leisurely. The room, though not large, is exquisitely designed, with comfortable bedding and a bathroom featuring a separate shower and toilet, complete with a smart toilet. Thirdly, the service was wonderfully attentive. The young lady at the front desk, seeing we had elderly parents and a child, proactively helped us with our luggage. Breakfast was abundant, and they even gave us a small gift when we checked out – excellent! Overall, if you want to experience an Old Beijing Siheyuan without compromising on comfort, this place is truly ideal. It's especially perfect for families traveling with parents and children, offering both charm and convenience.

This is my second stay here, and the experience this time was absolutely perfect, a definite five-star recommendation! The biggest plus is the location – it's very close to Tiananmen Square, just a few minutes' walk away. This means no need to rush in the early morning to visit the Forbidden City or watch the flag-raising ceremony. Plus, the surrounding area has everything you need: subway stations, restaurants, making getting around super convenient. The room facilities are excellent; all the appliances and bathroom amenities are new. The hot water supply is plentiful, and the soundproofing is good too. The entire room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, making it incredibly relaxing to return to after a long day. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient with check-in, and they were very quick to respond to any requests. Overall, everything about this place is impeccable, and the value for money is outstanding. If you're coming to Beijing to see Tiananmen Square, I highly recommend this hotel. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! Every time I visit, the lobby is always sparkling clean, and during holidays, they always have unique and charming decorations.

You can definitely stay here with peace of mind. The overall experience was great. The room was spacious, all amenities were complete, and the room was always spotless. It felt very reassuring to stay here, and the facilities were of good quality.

Apart from the renovation which we were told beforehand, the room we had was dark (probably because it was a windowless room), humid, aircon wasn’t strong but they provided a fan. Could smell urine even with the toilet seat covered, toilet door was closed, to a point that i was awaken by the foul smell. Had to spray perfume to have it barely covered. Ventilation was super bad. Cons aside, service was good, fridge in room had free drinks. Would recommend to book a window room if you had to even though friend that stayed in the window room said it was bad too. There’s a mall few minutes walk away which was a plus. Good view on the reception floor too.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the New World Department Store building, with Chongmun Station on Subway Line 5 just downstairs. There are numerous large shopping malls nearby, lots of great restaurants, and it's convenient to get anywhere. The room's cleanliness was also very good. I particularly liked their hairdryer; it's very powerful, which is great for people with long hair. The only thing I was unhappy with was their internet 🛜 – it's really bad and often disconnects, especially in the bathroom. As soon as you enter, the Wi-Fi drops. I hope they can switch to a better network provider. Everything else deserves five stars!

1. The room was indeed spacious, with a charming Chinese style, clean and tidy. The lobby was genuinely grand. Despite being an older five-star hotel, its quality and heritage are still evident. 2. The location is convenient, but getting to Tiananmen Square requires a detour due to restrictions, making it about a 15-20 minute walk. I'd recommend taking a taxi to the edge of the restricted area and then walking. If you're up for it, walking is quite direct, and it's also close to Qianmen Street, especially if you use shared bicycles, which is the most convenient option! I primarily used Didi (ride-sharing) because I was traveling with elderly family members and children. 3. The absolute best part was the service. The front desk staff were polite and gentle. When your Didi arrives, someone opens the door for you, helps with luggage, and there's complimentary afternoon tea. Upon check-in, they provided fruit, helped with luggage, and even assisted with food deliveries. Staff members greeted you whenever you saw them, and there was unlimited mineral water! (Haha, I really liked that!) Plus, the large floor-to-ceiling windows were great; when the sun was out, the view didn't matter as much as getting clothes dried quickly! 😜 4. Regarding comments I read about clogged toilets or dirty water – I didn't encounter any of that! These issues must have been resolved by now. With their excellent service, you could always ask for a room change or request a higher floor if you did experience such problems.

The floors, countertops, and bathroom corners were all sparkling clean, the towels were soft and odorless, and the toiletries were complete and effective. The room had good lighting, a spacious and unconfining layout, and a mattress that was just right – perfect for a good night's rest. The service was attentive throughout, with staff actively helping with luggage and directions. It was quiet and peaceful, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Among similarly priced options, the quality here is outstanding, genuinely recommended!

The young lady at the front desk during the day was incredibly enthusiastic. My husband and I, two seniors, had two large suitcases, and she helped us carry them downstairs. She even waited with us for our ride-hailing car and helped us load them in. We really can't thank her enough! The location is great; turn right out of the main entrance and there's a delicious Shunde restaurant. The food is fantastic! The hotel's location is truly excellent, though the only drawback is the lack of an elevator.

You can tell the hotel is quite old. I specifically booked a room in the Regency Club, which I heard was renovated, and it indeed was. The room was very spacious and comfortable, clean and hygienic. The only minor issue was the vanity counter, which was a bit too narrow. Also, some of the light switches had poor contact, but that's something that can't really be helped. Everything else was great, the bed was comfortable, and the toiletries were Malin+Goetz.
