Hotels in Qianmen, The Temple Of Heaven and Chongwenmen, Beijing

Details truly make all the difference. The moment I stepped in, I noticed a subtle, pleasant aroma, and the air conditioning and lighting were already set to a comfortable level. A special shout-out to the housekeeping staff; they cleaned my room meticulously every day, even organizing my charging cables – full marks! For this price point, the quality is simply top-notch. I couldn't find a single fault with either the cleanliness or the service. Not only was there no deposit required for check-in, but I also received a small gift upon check-out. Five stars, highly recommended!

Decided to try Manxin Mansion with a 'let's see' attitude, and it turned out to be a genuine Beijing courtyard hotel. My kids absolutely loved the Little Yellow Duck family suite, so we immediately extended our stay for another four nights at the front desk. The room was clean and odor-free, the best part being no smoke smell whatsoever. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They'd spot us from a distance and come over to help with our luggage. When we left, they personally saw us off at the station and even helped us mail our express package. I especially have to mention the hotel's memory foam pillows – they ensured I slept soundly every night until dawn. Loved them, loved them!

Facilities: The room facilities were pretty good. The only downside was that to get to the elevator from our floor, you still had to go up a flight of stairs, meaning we had to carry our luggage ourselves. This is very inconvenient for travelers who usually have large suitcases. Cleanliness: It wasn't very clean; there was a lot of dust. Environment: It was good, with excellent soundproofing, so it was quiet. Service: I've stayed at a few hotels in Beijing, and the service here was honestly hard to describe—it was quite indifferent.

The location was great, but our room had no direct light from sun, and no windows opening on outside at all, with an A/C that was not working at all. The room was hot and not air moving, a terrible feeling. On top of that, the room was located just below the roof top that was undergoing construction work, which means lot of noise from early morning. The room is very old, walls are stained, clearly not looking like the booking site pictures. The hotel needs a big refresh. Right now the entire exterior is under construction, I hope you plan to do the rooms soon. Overall, not acceptable not to be informed that there is big construction work done at the moment, and having a room with no external ventilation and AC working should not even be commercialized. A rip off for the price paid.

The hotel truly lives up to the photos on Ctrip – no discrepancies, no exaggerations, just genuinely good as pictured. As a returning guest, whenever I'm in Beijing, I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chongwenmen; it feels just like coming home. I won't rehash what's already displayed. I just want to highlight the hotel's unbeatable location. From here, you can bike to the Forbidden City in 10 minutes; take the subway to the National Museum in 10 minutes; or bike to the Temple of Heaven in 10 minutes. Besides enjoying the scenery and park, there are hidden gems of authentic Beijing cuisine around the Temple of Heaven, waiting for you to savor one by one. If you've eaten your fill, it's a pleasant 10-minute walk to the City Wall Park for a stroll, where you can enjoy flowers in spring, fruits in summer, and beautiful scenery in autumn and winter – all for free. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express is, in a word, 'perfect,' or even better, 'absolutely perfect.'

1. Overall, this hotel has a wonderful heritage feel, far superior to a budget hotel. 2. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the commercial street. There are subway stations to the left and right, making it incredibly convenient to get to Beijing West Railway Station and the Forbidden City. Despite being in a bustling area, the hotel is surprisingly quiet. You can step downstairs directly into the commercial street, yet you're insulated from the noise. It's ideal for a family vacation. 3. What truly stood out was the exceptional attitude of all the staff; they were delightful. The front desk even upgraded my room for free, which was incredibly thoughtful! I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Beijing. My mom and grandma were so happy they even took photos in front of the hotel, haha!

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. We took a room perfect for only sleeping as we were in the hotel room only for the night. It is well located, near the temple of heaven and not far from the forbidden city and the other places to visit. We had no windows which wasn't bothersome for 4 nights. The staff is very kind. I recommend the hotel if you want to visit beijing!

The downstairs living area was perfect for relaxing or entertaining, while the upstairs bedroom provided a quiet retreat. It's ideal for families or friends traveling together. The entire room features smart controls, and the bathroom has a convenient wet/dry separation with high-quality toiletries. The hotel is right next to the Temple of Heaven, within walking distance, and there are plenty of dining and transportation options nearby. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, including a great selection of authentic Beijing snacks. The front desk staff were attentive and thorough. The decor is elegant and stylish, offering a peaceful escape despite being in a bustling area. The space utilization is excellent, and it offers outstanding value for money. For anyone visiting Beijing, I highly recommend booking the duplex room!

The room design is absolutely amazing! The front desk staff, especially the young man, was incredibly thoughtful. He was more than happy to help store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. ❤️ My child said they want to stay here again next time we're in Beijing! ❤️ Plus, the food at the hotel's ground floor restaurant is really delicious 😋. The little design details are super charming: the mirror says 'you look good,' the pillow says 'stop thinking,' and even the caisson ceiling decoration in the elevator is beautiful.

The construction site that was mentioned in reviews two years ago is now active, but the front desk upgraded my room, and I was out all day anyway, so the construction didn't bother me. They brought fresh fruit daily, and the mini-fridge was stocked with Huiyuan juice, which they refilled when I finished it. The front desk and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel next time I'm in Beijing.
