Pier Joy is two cottages from the late 1940s, recently remodeled and joined, booked as one stay. The Cozy cottage and the Hidden cottage still have their own entrances, kitchens, living rooms, and baths. Connecting them gave each side an extra bedroom.The cottages sit on 2.5 wooded acres down a winding private drive, with plenty of room to park. Together they sleep 12: a queen and two fulls in the Cozy cottage, a king and two queens in the Hidden cottage, plus two full baths.Downtown Union Pier is walkable for coffee at Black Currant, dinner at Union Pier Social, and a classic stop at Red Arrow Roadhouse. There is also a twin-sized futon provided, a foldable children's crib, and an ample amount of couch space. We recommend staying between 8-10 guests, but space allows for up to 12 adults. There are two full bathrooms, both providing showers that accommodate the taller than average guest. Our master bathroom has a shower/tub combo, our upstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower. As well as open yard space, we also provide a firepit and grill for your FULL summer experience. There is also no need to worry about parking. The house provides driveway space that can fit at least 8 vehicles, or even more if you are any good at Tetris! You will find an abundance of entertainment provided throughout our home including games, puzzles, FREE cable and WiFi, and smart TV's in each room. On top of that there is a spacious screened in 3 seasons room, and an outdoor dining set on our large back deck. We can talk about the house all day, but the location is also something to highlight. The Township has changed the automobile traffic flow down to one lane each direction and has added a new biclyle path and walking path that will eventually extend all the way to New Buffalo. This beach house has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Two bedrooms have their own private bath and shower. One bathroom is on the first floor and doubles as the mudroom bathroom, guest bathroom and hallway bathroom. The master bedroom and master bathroom are also located on the first floor. The second floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one is en-suite. The bunk bed room has a queen over queen bunk bed suitable for a couple and a couple of kids. Three of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the kids bedroom has a queen over queen bunk bed. There is an outdoor Weber Genesis II natural gas grill. The kitchen is fully stocked. We have a beautiful front porch with two ceiling fans, plenty of breeze to discourage any small uninvited guests such as flies or mosquitos. We are conveniently located between two beach access. To the North, slightly closer is the Miller Beach Access and just to the South is the Mc Kinley Street Beach Access. Both beaches are beautiful and offer plenty of sand. The Township has just paved a new bike path on Red Arrow Highway and borders a new walking path along the same route. Why not check it out and maybe check a few of the new breweries in town. All you need to bring is suntan lotion. We provide beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and everything else under the sun. This beach front cottage offers the beautiful sunsets of the summer and the clean sandy beaches of Eastern Shore of Lake Michigan. Our 3 bedroom 900 square foot cottage has been the owners weekend getaway since 1991. Situated on 5/8 of an acre this heavily shaded property offers open space of lawn to play baseball or croquet, or rest on the front deck, drink a cold lemonade and enjoy the warm lakefront breeze. The stairs to the beach are fifty feet away where you can situate yourself on the expansive private beach area (patrolled on weekends to keep strangers off) or sit on the public community beach.
