"Was very clean & quiet. Very good price for 5 days stay. Love the fact you can get pizza & drinks 24 hours a day as well. Only thing that's a downside is the windows don't open"

Great
GGuest UserRoom was very tired. This use to be a lovely hotel but now, from our recent experience, it’s very much fur coat and no knickers. Lovely reception bar and dinning areas but our room was definitely not what Hilton use to stand for. Our room was very very tired. The wood work was all chipped and looking shabby, the pleather head board had numerous bare/worn areas and there was mould in the bathroom. Not sure if all rooms have these issues our just the ones you get if booked through trip.com.
GGuesswho!Hotel room nice, good view of the river.. staff really helpful.
Very disappointed with the breakfast..
Hard black pudding
Hard hash browns
Just warm sausage
Luke warm beans
Didn’t try anything else
Toast nice and tea nice.
But would book with out breakfast if I stopped again.
GGuest UserPoor quality Wi-Fi, couldn’t work as kept bugging out. Gluten/dairy free options for breakfast limited. Picked hotel for pool for the family but everytime we went there it was fully occupied. Should be able to book or limit people’s time in there to allow others to use facilities, family were very disappointed
Ttraveller83Great location very close to Central Station.
Would recommend it as it's situated in a relatively quiet part of the city not sure what it would be like if a footie game is on as stadium is quite close by
We booked two double standard rooms and both were clean, had ironing boards, tea and coffee, shampoo, shower gel and handwash but that was it. TV and hairdryer also.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming - the guy who was checked us in was very friendly and professional and I can't recall his name but he wore glasses..
Buffet breakfast was sufficient -it's as good as it comes for Holiday Inn. I would come stay here again.
GGuest UserThe hotel was clean, well-equipped, and quite spacious, which I really liked. The breakfast spread was also very generous. It's just a few minutes' walk from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. Very satisfied.
MM547925****The location is excellent, directly opposite Newcastle train station. The day before, I stayed at the Hampton next door. The price increased significantly the next day, so I moved to this one, which had a stable price. However, it was really bad, and I advise my fellow countrymen to be cautious about staying here.
The room itself matched the merchant's photos. The bathroom was generally spacious, but there was a significant waste of space. It shouldn't have been designed like this after a renovation. I've never seen such a ridiculously designed sink; the faucet is too close to the basin, so simply washing your hands causes water to spill all over the floor. There's also no floor drain in the bathroom, so we had to cover the entire floor with towels.
Also, a £50 deposit is required upon check-in, authorized via credit card. Other hotels usually release it immediately upon checkout. I specifically asked when checking out, and they said it would take 'a few days.' I don't understand why. I waited a week and it still wasn't refunded. After Ctrip customer service intervened, it was immediately refunded. Truly outrageous.
Personally, I think as long as the Hampton by Hilton next door isn't more than 50% more expensive, I'd still recommend staying at the Hampton. It has better facilities, includes breakfast, and the service is better. Don't come here to be annoyed.
GGuest UserBooked a room away from the lift. Gave us a room next to the lift. Went down to see ifcwe could get it changed as we wanted a quiet room On check in we requested this so obviously next to the lift facing the stack is not a quiet room. Next room was directly above the hotels air conditioning unit gave up as obviously the receptionist was having a serious customer service melt down especially when we went out 10 minutes later and she called over ..is that room OK for you? Obviously not as the air conditioning unit screamed all night long we just said yes as what was the best room going to be ?? Certainly will not be back thanks to the totally piss taking receptionist
GGuest UserEverything about our stay was perfect from the room to our food we had staff were friendly and social able even when we go to bed there is no noise in corridor l think we have stayed about 5 times and each time perfect.
GGuest UserI booked this for my Grandaughter and I to attend an appointment in Newcastle at 1.30pm and also a concert in the evening at the arena.
Arriving well before check in at 3pm, the receptionist kindly allowed us to park in the hotel car park thus enabling us not to have to move the car from the metro station opposite later. This was a great help- thankyou.
We checked in after our appointment and got our key for room 23. It was nice and cosy with the heating on and extremely clean.
I did struggle to turn off the cold tap fully in the bathroom but my Grandaughter sorted it...maybe needs some attention from a professional.
After getting changed, we headed back up town on the metro where we enjoyed seeing Rick Astley.
It was quite late when we returned hungry but the hotel was fine with us ordering a McDonald's delivery from Kingston Park. All in all with breakfast included in the price, we had a super time. Cheers!
GGuest UserGood location with free parking and about a 15-minute walk to the city centre. The price is reasonable and includes a breakfast box for each guest.
The experience could have been better if the room facilities were maintained and cleaned to a higher standard.
