a4292The hotel is a bit out of the way, and while the surroundings are very quiet, it felt a little unsafe to go out after dark. It was a pleasant surprise that the front desk staff had their own translation device, and the restaurant even offered hot water, showing the hotel's inclusivity and genuine hospitality towards guests from all over the world. The room was spacious and well-equipped, and parking was convenient.

Large space, complete facilities, even washing machines, drying racks. Location is OK. It would be better if there is oil and salt. I only cook one meal, such as buying oil and salt, and the fire is completely over. So there is no oil and salt to cook.

Guest UserArrived late in the evening, friendly efficient check in, room was small but very good bed, super fresh bathroom, my only criticism would be the light issue, how to turn off all lights? But no worries, I was tired so slept really well, breakfast was a surprise, first of all met at entrance to restaurant by server who showed me all the selections and seated me, fantastic friendly service, breakfast bacon and sausages of high quality, sour dough bread etc, good coffee, great breakfast
All in all a great stay

I had already paid for the hotel when I booked it, but they asked for my credit card again during self-check-in. I had to find a staff member to process it manually afterwards, so be careful about that. The room was very spacious, and I could fully open my suitcase. The only downside was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak.

Frankly, the size of the room is beyond my imagination, very spacious apartment. The kitchen has everything that should be set. You can make breakfast and dinner yourself. We have one night to make our own seafood dinner. You can wash clothes. It feels like home. The facilities are old. Travel is also very convenient, very close to the train station and supermarket, will consider here next time.

The room wasn't clean. I checked in early as an IHG member benefit at noon, but there was dust on the counter, hair on the bed, and even someone else's underwear behind the curtains!?! I had to inspect and clean it myself. The bed and pillows are very soft, which might depend on personal preference. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of continental options. The location is superb, only about a five to six-minute walk from the train station.

Lovely hotel in excellent location. However, when got back to our room in the evening, there was a loud disco going on above us, from the brochure of the hotel it was indicated this would end at midnight. We still heard it at 2am . We also tried to order room service and got no answer on phone.
Finally, we were woken at 8am Sunday morning by what sounded like cleaners moving all the furniture and scrapping the floor.
We mentioned it on checking out, and although the staff apologised, it did not sound very sincere. Would be reluctant to return .

H the explorerIdeal location right by the train station. Hotel room was lovely, beds comfortable, shower warm - large spacious room. Mini bar also. Hotel staff friendly breakfast was available at extra charge but did not have it. Would stay here again.

The location of the hotel is right opposite St Jamesā Park stadium, which is perfect as we were there to watch Newcastle United Football Clubās matches. It is easily accessible to every area of the town and also walkable to the city centre and the train station. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sandman Signature Newcastle hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Newcastle!
