"The staff and hotel environment are very nice. Breakfast is tasty. The only thing one should watch out for are the rooms. Some are much better than others. Generally the soundproofing is not great and the hotel is quite noisy when people are waking in the corridors or waking up early for hikes"
We were on our first two-women trip to Waras, arriving from Lima by night bus and looking for an inn where we could rest quietly and slowly. This is to go trekking to the 4000-meter mountain in 2 nights and 3 days from the next day. This inn, which I found by chance, was far from Centro, but I expected a quiet environment, and the road to Mirador continued behind me, and I expected that I could prepare for trekking while walking. And those expectations were more than expected. Certainly, it is difficult for some people to climb the slope for 20 minutes from Centro, so we also took a taxi. However, just an hour and a half up the road to Mirador, I enjoyed the wonderful view of the whole wallas and the snowy mountains. (Unfortunately, I couldn't go to Mirador. It's quite far.) The room was inside the 2 floor, quiet and comfortable, and the bed sheets and blankets were clean and nice. The best thing was the meal! Even if I didn't stay in Centro, I enjoyed a delicious dinner of heat 々 and a healthy and fresh breakfast. A friend says you can stay there again just for that meal. In the morning, when I went out of the hotel to breathe air before breakfast, the grandfather and boy in the neighborhood who were taking a walk called out and enjoyed a casual conversation. In other words, I had good memories. The female staff were also smiling and kind. Thank you. Only one thing you care about? It's a shower. We had no choice but to give up the shower at that temperature for the next day's climb. But it's okay. Because we were very satisfied with our stay.
Basic hostel that's almost like a Airbnb. You feel like you’re living in a big house with many rooms and no housekeeping regardless of number of night stays. Wifi connection is pretty good and there's Netflix too (there's not much to do in Huaraz besides the outdoorsy stuff). Breakfast is basic too if you're not fussy. Part of the charm of staying in this town is the frequent rooster crowing and dog barks. There's also a friendly dog in the hostel.
Located in the center of Huaraz and accessible to all kinds of facilities. The roof has a good view of Huascaran. The front desk is friendly and helped me book my bus ticket to Chimbote. The room is clean and I would recommend.
