Took my daughter for a birthday getaway. We were both impressed with the beauty and location. Our suite had everything we needed and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We are looking at timeshare options now as we plan to make this a regular spot for us.

TtrpcOne of the few hotels in Big Sur that allow you to book a one-night stay on a weekend so this is a huge plus. No reception nor staff on site when you check in - keys are left in a key box outside your assigned room (which you will be informed of a couple days before your arrival). If you need help during your stay, your only option is emailing them.
Rooms are dated but clean. No dining options on site so either eat before you arrive, bring supplies, or be prepared to drive ＞20min for the nearest restaurant.
Breakfast is left in a cabinet by the parking lot for self help. You get a slice of cake, boiled eggs, fruit and bottled juice.
In short, you're paying for location.

It was an excellent hotel & resort. The room was nice and tidy, with a bathroom with good shower water pressure. Its breakfast was also excellent with good and friendly service. Only thing it lacks was elevator, so I recommend the first floor room with patio.

GGuest UserThe rooms were OK nothing great and seemed clean but water waste could be avoided with newer toilet and shower valves. This non water waste had a sticker in the bathroom. The breakfast was serve yourself and very basic. The pool looked clean but the spa had an baby in it with a diaper on and the grown ups [parents?] didn't care but we did. All in all very pricey for what we got and the add on taxes/fees really kicked up the price...beware.

GGuest UserEverything was good except the fact of someone pounding on my door at 1:00am then they took off! It was ridiculously unacceptable as they think it’s funny! Other then that, the view of the beach from our room was spectacular. Well worth the cost. Checking in/out was quick and easy.

GGuest UserI loved the accuracy on the website. Staff, was very very nice. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast was more expected. The price was perfect. And so close to the beach, awesome!
