"I was in Tangshan for a business trip and decided to bring my parents to Hetou Old Street to celebrate my mom's birthday. The last time I stayed here, Iris Yao Jiajing was my DM, and she made my stay so wonderful that I chose InterContinental again for my parents' visit. This time, we encountered a few minor issues with the room facilities, which is understandable given the hotel's age. However, every single problem was promptly and effectively resolved by Manager Yao Jiajing. She also proactively checked the room availability and upgraded my parents' room for free, which was a lovely surprise. When she learned it was my mother's birthday, she thoughtfully arranged a tea break with a cake for us. Throughout our stay, she also checked in to see if we needed anything else. I am incredibly grateful for Manager Yao's professionalism and attentiveness; she has truly left me with a positive impression of this hotel, and her service made our family trip exceptionally smooth."

"Booked the family room for our Chinese New Year trip with elderly parents. It was incredibly convenient with separate rooms, each having its own bathroom, which was perfect for adult families. The environment was lovely too. We were welcomed with tea and enjoyed afternoon tea snacks. They also offered a light dinner (which we didn't try as we were out exploring). Breakfast had a good variety and the taste was decent. My only suggestion would be to extend the breakfast hours by an hour during holidays."

"Overall, it met my expectations. Tangshan is a city I really like, and the service here was quite good. The only thing is the price was a bit high, probably because of the May Day holiday. I'd recommend staying here when it's not a busy period. The hotel's swimming pool was bathed in sunlight, and the small hot spring pools were at a perfect temperature. The trees in the hotel park have also grown quite a bit, so the overall environment is lovely. I'd suggest staying here if the price is right."

"This hotel is located in the Aegean Sea Shopping Park in Tangshan's city center and shares an underground parking lot with the mall, so there's plenty of parking available. There's a dedicated elevator for the hotel in the underground parking, which means no waiting in crowded lines. The shopping center itself has numerous restaurants, making lunch and dinner incredibly convenient. The hotel rooms are quite clean, and the mattress comfort is also good. While the breakfast on the 7th floor can't compare to what you'd find in a luxury hotel, it's definitely among the best in its price range. They offer common Chinese and Western breakfast items like fried eggs, bread and toast, sausages, wontons, and tofu pudding, and everything tastes good. If you're traveling for leisure or business in the area, this hotel is definitely worth considering."

"It's a low price hote. The reason for it:l It's an old hotel with old interior. Doors of the closet were missing. Thought we have a nice view from 12th floor but through these absolut dirty windows we saw only grey. In the bathroom is mold in the shower. In the hotel are also rooms for companies beside the guests rooms. 6 o'clock in the morning there is noise and the people from the companies are smoking in the hallway. Then the smoke drifts through the door. Disgusting. One good thing: The ladys at the reception are super friendly. 这是一家低价酒店。原因如下： 这是一家老旧的酒店，内部装修也很陈旧。衣柜门都掉了。我们原本以为从12楼能看到不错的景色，但透过脏兮兮的窗户，看到的只有一片灰蒙蒙的。 浴室的淋浴间里有霉菌。 酒店除了客房外，还设有供公司使用的房间。早上6点，走廊里就传来噪音，公司员工在抽烟。然后烟雾飘进房间。真恶心。 唯一值得称赞的是：前台的女士们非常友好。"

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and very convenient for getting around. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely kind, friendly, and always willing to help. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again in the future. The hotel just next to He Tou Lao Jie"

"First off, the location is excellent, and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service. VIP guests can even take a boat from the hotel's pier directly to Hetou Old Street, which is incredibly convenient. As for the rest of the hotel: the environment is, of course, impeccable, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The breakfast spread is abundant, and the lunch at the Chinese restaurant was also delicious, earning high praise from the entire family. The service is definitely outstanding; from check-in at the front desk to check-out, the overall service was excellent and very welcoming. The facilities are a bit dated, and the soundproofing isn't great, but it didn't detract from the stay."

"Honestly, the hotel exterior is great, but the interior facilities are really old. Many of the cabinets are broken. What's even more interesting is the front desk staff – they seem very polite, but they didn't actually do anything helpful for me. I'm a Trip.com member and eligible for a free room upgrade. I even asked if I could get an upgrade, and the front desk was super polite, saying, 'Of course, you don't even need to go through Trip.com.' But when I got to my room, it was exactly the same as the one I originally booked. I went back to the front desk to ask if it had been upgraded. The front desk, again, was super polite and said, 'Sir, you have been upgraded. The room types are the same, but we specially picked one for you with a good view.' Good where? You can only see a tiny bit of the lake, seriously. I can only say so much. The room type didn't change, the space didn't change, they just told me the view was good, haha."

"This hotel has both prominent pros and cons: First, the pros: 1. Located in Hetou Old Street, it's quiet yet central, with an excellent location. You can return to your room anytime you get tired from exploring, no matter how late you stay out. 2. The hygiene is five-star standard! The housekeeping staff work incredibly hard; the entire floor is milky white, and they have to squat to wipe it clean! After eating fruit in the room, I made sure to clean up the juice myself. 3. A variety of free snacks, fruits, and beverages are provided with great sincerity and high quality, not just for show. Now, the clear cons: 1. The hotel's room types are very confusing. The same company has rooms spread across different guesthouses, and there's a big difference in room size and amenities. Guests from the宿集 (Suju) cannot use their key cards to enter and exit the scenic area, even though they check in at the same front desk and eat breakfast in the same area. This is very inconvenient. The welcome fruits were also just brought over in a paper bag. 2. The entire hotel has almost no accessibility for people with disabilities. My elderly parents and children booked a twin room, but it turned out to be far from the main building and had no elevator. My parents have mobility issues, and it was raining those two days, which made it extremely inconvenient. 3. Since there's no restaurant, breakfast is served by portion. Although the dishes are plentiful, half of them are cold by the time they reach the table, which significantly reduces their taste. 4. The soundproofing in the room is poor. I heard a machine humming very early, and only on the second day did I realize there was a laundry room next door. Footsteps outside the door sounded as clear as if they were inside the room, which was quite startling! Based on my actual experience, it was a mixed bag. I hope Hetou Old Street thrives and the hotel continues to improve!"
