"The location of this hotel is very close to the city centre. Walking time to the JR railway station is about 12-15 minutes. Room is very clean and tidy. Check in time is short. Breakfast is simple but good taste."

"It was a wonderful stay here. Loved the convenience of shops, eateries, convenience store, JR bus terminal and station and Meitetsu Gifu so coming from the airport is no problem at all. Easy to locate the hotel. The hotel staff seems to be waiting for my arrival as I had pre informed that I would need a late check-in as my flight lands at night. They were also responsive and gave clear instructions on how to do a check-in after 12am. As always, cleanliness is top notch."

I was tired from traveling, so I was grateful to be able to use the massage chair for free for 15 minutes after bathing."

"The location is good to reach easily the JR and Meitetsu station, also close to the main city and highway bus stops. Very close to Gifu City 43 (with observatory deck). It is just around what used to be the covered clothing shopping district, which is now mostly empty and run down. The district is seeing progressive renovations. There are plenty of restaurants around, but for more affordable places, might have to walk some distance. Room are large enough, so you wont have trouble opening and arranging large luggage. The furniture is old and bathroom needs some maintenance (sink cracked on top and leaking under the drain). The ambient was quite dusty and the cleaning of the room is done only on the fourth day of stay (used towels, garbage and mugs/glasses must be put outside the room and will be replaced with a clean set at the door). There is a coin laundry with dryers, but it’s located at lobby level. The staff is polite and helpful, speaks English."

"A family of four paid over 2800 RMB. This room was extremely poor value for money. It was quite small, and the bathroom and toilet were separate, each less than 1 square meter. It was hard to even turn around in them. You'd be better off staying at a 1000 RMB hotel in the city center. We were assigned a room on the second floor with no view, overlooking a small park and a construction site. We couldn't see any mountains or rivers. The hygiene was acceptable. The hot spring pool was on the 6th floor, separated by a glass railing, and the view was just so-so. Dinner was a set menu. We had sukiyaki with a few slices of beef and mushrooms, and a very salty grilled fish that still had its internal organs, making it both salty and bitter. The portion size was sufficient, but the taste was very mediocre. We also ordered four small bottled Cokes for 420 RMB each."

"Location is very good for travellers using Gifu station, just across a street with rows of restaurants behind the hotel. Renovated and clean, we booked a smoking room by mistake, but there was no available non-smoking room to change. Able to open the window to clear some cigarette odour in the room."

"An old hotel with 1980’s furnishing but well-maintained and relatively clean. Location wise is quite a long walk from Gifu station. Short stay for business visits or layover during long travel if the room rate is low, otherwise go for newer hotels nearer to the Gifu station."

"This hotel has a large public bath and basically includes breakfast. The public bath isn't large, but it's plenty large enough for everyone who wants it. The breakfast is pretty good, and it comes with milk. The room is standard, a typical Japanese-style room."
