Cheap Hotels in Besut

"We were very delighted at the ease of bookings for our stay, speedboat transfers, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. The moment we arrived at Besut Jetty, they had their team to facilitate parking of our car and efficiently got us on the speedboat as it was raining earlier and might rain again in the afternoon. By the time we arrived and checked in, our rooms were ready, cleaned and smelled fresh too contrary with all the reviews I’ve read recently especially when it comes to peak season. All the amenities were there and functional. Even my city kids were impressed as they’ve stayed at other island resorts before. The ambience at night was very lively at the restaurant, friendly flying lemurs and squirrels, tasty variety dishes from the restaurant, fire show, swings by the beach. The recreational centre such as the kayak, snorkelling and scuba diving can be better for the premium rate that they are charging. Warning: check every calculation carefully as they have this NO REFUND policy. I would suggest for rental of games to make family holidays more fun on days when it is raining."

"Our stay at Marriott Perhentian exceeded every expectation once again. This was our third visit in less than 12 months, and each time the experience has been even better than the last. , with crystal-clear water, pristine beaches, multiple swimming pools and incredible views in every direction. The resort itself is beautifully designed, perfectly blending luxury with the natural beauty of the island. What truly makes this place exceptional is its people. Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and genuinely cared for. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The food was consistently excellent, offering great variety and outstanding quality. With 3 restaurant to chose from, Sekoci for fine dining and day time pizzas and quick bites, Dapur for breakfast and dinner with wide selection of delicious local and international food. A special thank you to the entire Marriott Perhentian team for creating such memorable experiences. "This is the perfect place to stay before heading to the Perhentian Islands. The Kuala Besut Jetty is right in front of the hotel, and the Marriott ferry operates directly from here. The Assistant Manager, Nurfaruq Akamal Hanafiah, went above and beyond to resolve an issue we encountered. It was a minor hiccup caused by a slight miscommunication, but instead of brushing it off, he took the time to investigate thoroughly, explain the situation, and dedicate a significant amount of effort to finding a solution and compensation. Despite how busy the hotel must have been with so many guests, we felt as though we were receiving highly personalized service. My entire family praised his exceptional professionalism as a hotelier. Every time we visit, we are reminded of how genuinely kind and professional the staff are at both the Fairfield and Marriott Perhentian hotels. Furthermore, the restaurant manager at Marriott Perhentian happened to spot my son and me at the dining venue and remembered us from our visit a year ago. We had a wonderfully warm and friendly chat. It is truly thanks to the staff who welcome us like family every year that we keep deciding to return. We eagerly look forward to seeing everyone again next year!"

"Always come back to perhentian island, you can experiance calm and glass like sea for your holiday. Coral view resort provides a very good location in perhentian island that have nice view and walking distance to snorkeling spot. The room was great with air conditioned , water heater and it's vry clean too. However, things to improve would be the service attitude of their reception and restaurant."

"So, how about PIR? Let's start with the pros. The sea view is unbeatable, and it has its own long stretch of beach. I'd say it's the second-best on Perhentian Island, right after Long Beach, and definitely better than the two beaches below the Marriott. I even saw sea turtles, sharks, Nemo, and schools of fish while snorkeling – very satisfying! There are also monkeys, squirrels, lizards, and other small animals behind the resort. The staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage from the jetty to the room and again at check-out, which was great. PIR also offers water taxi and island hopping tours, and the prices are quite reasonable. You can also walk to other restaurants for meals. A whole fish cost 80 MYR, which is much cheaper than the 200 MYR at the Marriott. Now for the cons. PIR's breakfast is absolutely terrible. Besides fried eggs, I really didn't know what to eat, though the watermelon was decent. Their regular meals are okay, similar in taste to Mama's. The soundproofing is definitely poor; you can hear conversations from the next room and even the sound of the waves. Also, the bed sheets weren't very clean. I'd recommend bringing your own bedding."

"We had an amazing 5-day family stay at Mimpi Hotel on Perhentian Kecil, and we are honestly more than satisfied. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning view, and everything is exactly as shown in the pictures, no surprises, just even better in real life. The hotel offers many activities, which made our family holiday even more enjoyable. The access is also easy and well organized. The breakfast is varied and very good, with something for everyone. And considering the quality of the service, the prices are more than affordable. But what truly makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, friendly, always smiling, and genuinely caring. Always available, very reactive, helpful, and attentive. They go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable. Their kindness and positive attitude made a huge difference in our stay. We also deeply appreciates the respectful and peaceful atmosphere. We leave with beautiful memories and highly recommend this hotel. We hope to come back again!"
