This hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of privacy and service. Our dedicated butler had already contacted us to arrange everything before we even arrived. By the time we checked in, they had already booked our tickets, reserved our spot at Shuiliandong, and made dinner reservations. Our room had a private hot tub, and we could watch little squirrels跳 around in the trees outside our window. During the day, when the crowds were out, we stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the complimentary batik workshop and the hot springs. This was a perfect way to avoid the bustling crowds at Huangguoshu Waterfall during the holiday. By using the hotel's private access in the early mornings and evenings, we were able to experience the beautiful Huangguoshu Waterfall with fewer people, even during the May Day holiday.
Choosing the Kaiyuan Mingdu Resort in Huangguoshu for our family trip was a great decision. The hotel is very close to the scenic area, making getting around super convenient. Public transportation nearby is also easily accessible. They have excellent family-friendly facilities, including a kids' club and a petting zoo, which kept our children entertained. Our room was spacious and clean, and they even thoughtfully provided kids' amenities. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. The staff, especially Winnie, were incredibly warm and attentive. The environment is tranquil with expansive views. Coming back to the hotel after a day of sightseeing was so relaxing; it really makes traveling with kids hassle-free. We plan to return to Huangguoshu and will definitely prioritize staying here again. Highly recommend for families with children!
I booked this hotel specifically for its hot springs, hoping to relax after a day of hiking at Huangguoshu Waterfall. I got a lake view room, which offered views of Hongshan Lake Park and the hotel's swimming pool. The hot spring area of the hotel is beautifully landscaped, and waking up to the sound of birdsong in the morning was incredibly relaxing and pleasant. The breakfast was quite simple; there was no freshly brewed or ground coffee, though they did offer freshly made rice noodles, but other options were limited. The hotel is close to the ancient town, making it very convenient for dining and shopping. The weather in Anshun is truly comfortable; I'm thinking of coming back for a longer stay.
